Remus was doing what he did everyday, cleaning the counter before the first customer came in. Today they came earlier than usual. Their first customer usually doesn't usually come until 8 despite them being open at 7. But today he heard the bell ring only 10 minutes after opening. He hears Marlene greeting the customer so doesn't bother looking away from his task. “One ice coffee with milk instead of cream please.” Remus can hear the sweetness in his voice. “Name?” Marlene says to the man after entering his order on the register. “Sirius.” He says simply. “Sirius?” Marlene says with a chuckle. “Like the star.” Remus says to inform Marlene. She looks at him surprised that he knew that. “What I know stuff.” he says like it's nothing. “I’m just surprised that you actually pay attention in astronomy to busy looking at that guy in front of you.” she replies with a smirk. He glares at her, surprised she gave up that information in front of a stranger who she forgot was standing there until, “Ooo a cute guy do tell. Does he have eyes that just make you swoon?” he says overdramatically. Marlene snorts, “Yeah maybe if he ever saw his face then yeah he would.” Remus just stays quiet while Remus puts the milk in his coffee. “Wait, you've never seen his face?” Sirius says surprised. “Nope.” Marlene says, popping the P, “but yet if he asked him out he would say yes to a head of hair.” “He’s attractive. I know he is so yes I would 100% say yes to him, is that what you want to hear?” He says basically slamming the ice coffee down. “Yes.” Sirius says with his ridiculously attractive smile. Remus shakes off the feeling he gets but he can't help but feel that there is something else behind that smile than just amusement. He takes his coffee and leaves without another word. Remus just looks at Marlene who is shaking her head and laughing. The day goes by the same as usual coffees and pastries being sold every hour. When Remus and Marlene finish their shift they head over to astronomy class. They sit down and prepare their books, when Remus looked up he saw the guy he had been talking about earlier. This time though, he turns around. Oh. My. God. “So I heard you might want to take me on a date.” Sirius says winking.
