Janus meeting Iolanthe changed everything for him, he was so ecstatic about meeting a descendant that knew of her people's ancestry and their history that he spent hours talking to her, while walking though the village together he told her more of his people as while she knew of the Ori and Alterans split with the latter becoming the Lanteans, later on and then of their return to this world after losing a war he told her of the group that split from the Alterans how they named their people the Time Lords how they lived and how they died.
They would spend days talking with Janus eventually showing her his Tardis, taking her to the Moon showing her the planet he then travelled back in time with the Tardis shielding them from detection, showing her the Alteran civilisation going from Terra/Earth to Dakara and Vis Uban. He showed her their allies planets Hala for the Asgard, Gaia for the Nox and the Furling colony planet of Gong it was during these trips that Janus was watching the timeline on the monitor reading up on the rise of the Goa'uld empire.
He read that they took the remnant technology left behind by the Alterans when they left the Avalon galaxy, to escape the plague and used it to conqueror anything they could carving out a large empire. They visited Terra/Earth and held dominion over the world until they were overthrown by the inhabitants, but by that point they had already taken human slaves to other planets they used his people technology, to genetically make a slave-warrior race known as the Jaffa from some of their slave population he stopped there not wanting to read any more.
He put what he learnt to the back of his mind for now he had other things to focus on.
Traveling back to Terra/Erath he had the Tardis land in the old Terra Atlantus outpost in the southernmost continent, he stepped out followed by Iolanthe and he said "what do you think" as she looked around, she marvelled at it all walking around as the place lit up with more soft lighting she could help but smile and said "it's wonderful all of it everything you have shown me".
Janus then placed seven nanite rods on the floor of the outpost pre programmed by him to upgrade the outpost over the years, implementing improvements that were needed such as a beaming transporter enhancer and a backup system for his outpost AI with other such tech to help his people in the future.
He told her this outpost was site where Atlantis sat once as they prepared to leave upon getting back in the Tardis he returned them back to Godric's Hollow.
He had told Iolanthe in his talks with her about his hope to see his people back among the stars, knowing their origins and to not be considered extinct by their allies. When he asked about if she would like to stay and help she told him that she would love to but that she had a duty to her family and she wouldn't abandon them, she told him about how she must find a husband or her father would chose for her.
Janus admitted to himself that he enjoyed her presence in his life because he has been very lonely, with only his Tardis for company and his drive to see what he considered a personal mission to success but he never even all those years ago on Atlantis thought about having a family.
Coming to an decision collecting he piloted the Tardis to an open area in the woods near by Godric's Hollow, upon landing he to took an box from the Tardis and dropped it on the ground messing about with a pad he pulled from his pocket, he stepped back into the Tardis and took flight hopping 1 Terra/Erath hour into the future with Iolanthe looking confused as he was being, silent with her since telling him about having to marry then he said come on I have something to show you as she came out of the Tardis she saw a manor house when she heard him talking again "The time I have spent with you have been some of the happiest I have been in a long time so would you take my hand and be my wife because I don't want to lose you.
Iolanthe not expecting this could only smile and said "I would be delighted to be your wife and have you as my husband because I have loved the time i spent with you as well".
