Author's note
Let me start by apologizing to everyone that this is not a chapter. I am working on the first 2 chapters of CoS right now and hope to have them both posted by the end of the month.
Life the last year has been super crazy. My son started school and was diagnosed with autism so we've been dealing with that. My dog passed away, he was my Sirius - an all black german shepherd - and he was the most amazing dog I've ever had. And my depression and anxiety has been at an all time high, especially in the last 6 months as I am a disabled veteran who lives off of my disability payments and I'm worried about what is going to happen to those payments with all the changes the government is going through.
On top of all this I have about 50 ideas for stories running through my head at any given time, even though I only have a couple published. So I get distracted very easily and it can take me months to get back on track of a story.
I am working on this story though, and it isn't abandoned. So I thank everyone who has stuck with me on this.
I will delete this author's note and post the actual chapter 2 for this as soon as I have it.
