George being the mad inventing genius he is, and also severely heartbroken and depressed finds a way to get his twin back.
George sends his mind back to just before the battle, intending on only saving Fred, but Fred convinces him to use the spell to save everyone else as well. They send both their minds back to before everything went to shit, and use their scarily sharp brains to fix it all under everyone's noses.
