0.21 - Getting in Touch with Your Favorite Ancestor
"The full moon? Why?" Celestine asked Hecate, who was sitting down on a blanket surrounded by beautiful beds of poppies and roses.
"I cannot discuss it any further, but I can say that you are to be joined with your cousin on that journey. It would be a traumatic journey, but it is going to make you learn a lot more about yourself, whether it kills you or not."
"So there's a possibility that it's going to kill me."
"Not in actuality, my dear descendant, but you know what I mean."
"Unfortunately, I do."
"So come, sit down next to me."
Celestine gulped and proceeded to sit next to her ancestor who was dressed as if she was in the Victorian era.
"So how do you know?"
"As a goddess, I see how everything was, is, and how it will work out. With you, it is going to be a perilous journey, so I am doing everything I can in my power to lessen that burden, as I do with my children and other descendants."
"See, you keep saying that, and I'm included in those descendants, right? But I have to ask something."
"What is it? Oh, that..."
"Yes...Why can I see you in my dreams, but Harry can't?"
"That is because you are nearer to our world than he is, and that gives you abilities that he does not carry."
Celestine looked up to the open sky, seeing a bright moon staring back, along with twinkling stars.
"How do you make it look so real?"
The goddess smiled softly. It was the first time she saw her ancestor smile, she thought, it suited her.
"Illusion, my dear. Now going back on topic."
"Yes, of course," Celestine cleared her throat and sat up straight, "So, how does a full moon give trauma? I mean, the form is beautiful, is it not?"
"It is beautiful, but all beautiful things have an ugly side to them, do they not, my dear? And those ugly things, they tend to cause harm, whether it is intentional, or unintentional."
"And you can't just make that not happen?"
"It is fate, and nothing can change that—not even us gods and goddesses."
