0.15 - Meeting the Headmaster (Part 2)
“Since she managed to enter the barrier at King’s Cross Station, you could make her an honorary student, or…” Harry shrugs, leaning back on his chair, and looking down at his lap as he fidgets his fingers.
“I mean, I’m not opposed to it.” Celestine crossed her arms, looking up at Professor Dumbledore, and Professor Snape. “But I could help around the castle if you don’t want to–I don’t have any place to stay.”
The two professors looked at each other, conversing with their gaze. It was as if she understood it all. The doubt, hesitation, she could sense it.
“Get the hat, Severus.”
Professor Snape nods and grabs a shabby and dusty hat, standing next to Dumbledore.
“Put it on her.”
Snape silently sighs and walks over to Celestine, placing the hat on her head.
“Another Potter?” The hat spoke in a somewhat shocked tone. “At least this one’s alive.”
“Wait, what?” Harry rises from his seat, perplexed.
“So you should be in your 5th year…Godric’s Heart, the things you’ve done! And you don’t even know that you’ve done it!”
Celestine’s eyes widen as she felt a bead of sweat drip down her temple. “What else?”
“Same with your cousin, you tend to do things impulsively…but there’s some courage and openmindedness…where to put, where to put?” The hat continues, trying to figure it out whilst humming.
“What the hell?” Celestine told herself.
“RAVENCLAW IT IS!” The hat speaks with gusto. “Now put me back on the shelf, will you? I’m tired of sorting kids into Houses.”
She takes off the hat on her head and hands it to Professor Snape, facing Harry.
“I can’t believe I have a cousin…” A grin creeps up Harry’s face. “And at my father’s side!”
Celestine couldn’t help but smile at his excitement, glad that that was amazing news to him.
