Why Can't I Be Loved?
Summary
Basically, Harry and Draco are in a toxic relationship where Harry constantly cheats and Draco forgives him everytime until he can't handle it anymore. Trust me the actual story is better than my shit summary <3 and PLEASE I poured all my brain power into this. I CAN'T WRITE THIS FANFIC ANY LONGER

Draco wanted to believe someone in the whole universe loved him other than his mother. So, he was so happy and relieved when he finally found one, Harry Potter.

He thought he finally found someone to settle down with for the rest of his miserable life, maybe it would make his last moments a bit less lonely. And maybe there would be someone to wait for him in the afterlife or wait for someone.

During the rocky moments of their relationship, Draco poured in all his love and devotion into their relationship, hoping to salvage it and make it last. Of course that worked. They stayed together, seemingly happy. Infact, Draco was the happiest one, while Harry.. seemed a bit less enthusiastic about their relationship.

It didn't take long before Harry was caught being unfaithful by Draco. Draco was heartbroken when he caught him kissing someone other than him. His already crumbling heart that was beginning to heal because of Harry fully shattered into small pieces that could never be put back together again, also because of Harry.

Draco thought he was such a idiot for ever believing Harry loved him. Who would ever love him? he was such a snobby and stuck-up prick. Draco wanted to kill himself so badly, he will never succeed in finally 'the one'. And even if he did, he would've been dead by then. There was no one to be by his side and comfort him when he needed. He was too prideful to ask Pansy or Blaise, he could never.

When Harry apologised and begged him to stay with him, Draco happily agreed, giving him a second chance. He wanted to believe Harry was actually sorry and would never do it again.

And again, their relationship didn't last very long. Harry again cheated on him with the same exact person. And when Harry again begged for forgiveness, Draco forgave him, agreeing to continue dating him.

The cycle repeated over and over. Each time, Draco would forgive him without a second thought and get his poorly bandaged heart broken again. Each time, Draco was more desperate than the previous. His need for love and acceptance grew and grew, and each time the need wouldn't get fulfilled.

As the cycle continued, Draco found himself trapped in a constant cycle of love and betrayal. Despite the repeated heartbreaks, he clung to the hope that Harry would change. His vibrant and confident spirit was now in the past, leaving behind a heartbroken and desperate one. He questioned his own judgment and clung desperately to the hope that one day Harry would change.

As he slowly began to lose hope, he distanced himself from the toxic relationship. He found solace in solitude, but the deep wounds of betrayal remained in his heart. The emptiness within him seemed hopeless, and the once vibrant spirit was now withered into a shadow of its former self.

Loneliness became Draco's constant companion. The nights were unbearable, as the echoes of past empty promises and shattered dreams echoed through the silence. Unable to escape the haunting memories, Draco found himself giving into the darkness within.

One gloomy night, Draco's despair reached its peak. He sat alone, lost in his thoughts, contemplating the pain that had become a big part of his life. The crushing weight of his unfulfilled need for love, with the constant betrayal of Harry, was too much for him to bear.

In a moment of utter despair, Draco made a decision that he won't be able to take back. He wrote a letter, to be more specific, a suicide letter. The ink he wrote with bled under the amount of pressure he was holding the quill with. Tears blurred his vision and fell on the letter as he wrote.

As the ink dried on the letter, Draco took a last glance around his room before stepping out onto the balcony and jumping off without any hesitation. Draco did have one last thought before he jumped, 'Why can't I be loved?'.
