Epilogue: Creator
A Great many things can happen in a year.
Inky once Harry Potter had seen that, his year started with him broken and soulless and ended with him with a dad and a father.
Dad was Error by the way, father was Blue.
They comforted when he cried, tucked him into bed and read him stories, and just loved him because they loved him.
Not many beings got a second chance like he did, he’d rather be Inky then down trodden Chosen Potter.
Not... all things were good, he knew that his original AU would never have a true happy ending.
They would never learn of or join the greater multiverse, they’d never be able to understand why they were not the bigger part of the food chain.
Humans right?
And this was him, who had once been human.
He wouldn’t change anything of this year, even with his once friends reaction once they told the truth.
It hurt, but even when he had been harry he had known that the other two of the golden trio had warped views of friendship.
He doodled on paper as he watched Error pack away the final items of the classroom, leaving the room as lifeless as when they arrived.
“Error, you pack horribly,” Blue tutted, and repacked the items much more properly. They had to use chests, as students and teachers were still in the castle. Inky giggled at Error protesting the remark, the duo were pretty much mated or married as humans said, without the actual event.
A chirp got his attention, the long familiar form of Fawkes was nibbling on a few nuts from his nest. His soul warmed, glad that both Hedwig and his other feathery friend was leaving with them.
Sirius was not coming.
The man had never truly recovered from the apparent death of his godson, and now with Remus who cared for the man who’s health was now too delicate to leave.
He would never know ‘Harry’ lived, lost in his own mind.
It was for the better, even though Inky remembered everything now he wasn’t truly Harry anymore.
In the end, it would not have been fair for him as Inky existed now and did not wish to be him again. Harry had let to many people walk over him, to control him... never to be free.
He’d probably end up with Ginny Weasley in a loveless marriage, nope.. he was avoiding all that thank you.
Either way, they were leaving with the school years end and going home as Inkys glitch had been fixed.
“You all packed up Inky?” Error asked, the small emerald eyed child smile.
“Yup, ready to go home,” Inky beamed, his soul bursting with joy in the fact they were going home.
He couldn’t wait, sure he still had a job but so did Error. But this time the balance would be kept, not that he’d be doing his job for awhile as he still had to grow up.
And none of them knew how long it would take, after all he wasn’t a normal skeleton.
It could take hundreds of years.
He was looking forward to it.
“Ready?” Blue asked.
“Ready,” Error smirked.
“Ready Ready,” Inky chirped, the three laughed.
Moments later the classroom was empty, no one would ever figure out where they vanished to.
In a cell in Azkaban, a figure wondered just what had gone wrong.. it had been for the Greater good after all.
