Error and Inky were back at the Doodlesphere, since that place had a record of sorts of all the AUs ever created, including all of the Original ones, which were not made by Inky. It was these AUs that Error was looking through, since most of the AUs were very obviously not around before Inky became the Creator. There were still quite a few Original AUs to go through, but his search was made easier by the fact that there were no monsters in it, thus eliminating most of the Originals. Picking up another file, he flipped through it and stared. "Well, this would be an interesting one to visit, at the very least." he thought to himself, putting the file off to the side with the other rejects. "But it's not Inky's, since he doesn't have weird magical fire. Shame, that would've been cool to see." Picking up another file, he coughed at the dust on it. Looking it over, he saw the name of the AU in faded green letters on the front of the slim file.
MagicTale
Opening the file, Error looked through the contents. It seemed to match up with what little Inky remembered: mages, odd creatures, and no monsters. He just needed to find- AHA! There, in all it's cloaked glory, was a picture of a creature called a Dementor, a being that brought despair and cold with them, and if given the chance, would take your Soul in a move called the Dementor's Kiss. "Hey Inky, come here for a second!" Error called through the open door. After a few moments, Inky came through, dragging in behind him-
"Blue? Why are you here? And when did you get here?" Error asked, confused. "I got some clothes for Inky, like you asked, and I showed up a little while ago, I even yelled 'Hi' to you. I guess you were really engrossed in those files, huh?" Blue replied, chuckling. Error blushed gold and smiled sheepishly. "Guess I was. Anyways Inky, mind taking a look at this for me?" Error asked, holding the file out to the smol skeleton. Inky nodded happily and took a look. "That's the creature, the one that would make it cold and dark. Does this mean that this is my AU?" Inky asked softly looking through the file himself. "Looks like it, kiddo. Wanna go check it out now or later?"
Inky looked away in thought for a few moments, then nodded to himself. "We should go now. If I don't go now, I'll probably end up procrastinating." Inky stated firmly. "We should probably get some clothes and stuff though, just in case." he said, running to get some of his new clothes. Blue laughed softly and looked over at Error. "Want me to come with? To help keep an eye on him." he asked softly. Error nodded. "I was actually about to ask you if you could come along." he replied while putting the file in his inventory. Blue laughed again and walked out of the room. "I'll go get some of my stuff. We shouldn't need too much though, right?" he asked. "Make certain to grab your Hammer, I don't know how well our magic would interact with this AU." Error yelled loud enough for the leaving Blue to hear. "Got it!" Blue yelled back as he opened his own portal.
About half an hour later, the group was ready to go. Inky had packed a small bag of his clothes and some art supplies, though he refused to even look at Broomie when Error suggested bringing it along. He did take his paint vials though, since they were still pretty powerful, and he had a new, much smaller paintbrush than Broomie that he was going to use if needed. Error had his stuff put into his inventory, since all of his things were in the Anti-Void, and he could access that from anywhere. And Blue had his bag of clothes with his Hammer stored... someplace... Error wasn't going to ask, he knew the answer would confuse the hell out of him. Opening a portal, the trio stepped through into a dark alleyway. "Well, we're here. Inky, do you have any ide- INKY!" Error cried in horror, catching the little one before he could fall.
"I'm ok, I just felt dizzy for a second." Inky said, shaking his head. He looked up at Error and giggled. "You look cool as a human, Error!" he said brightly, before looking over at Blue. "You do too!" Inky continued giggling as he sat down, looking around dizzily. Error opened up the codes and looked over Inky's. He growled as he saw the problem. "What is it, Error?" Blue asked, concerned. "A bug in his code. It activated as soon as we stepped through. We'll have to stay here for a while, if I do a rush job of removing it, it could change him... or hurt him badly. It'll take a while, since he's a kid. That makes it harder, since his code doesn't know the bug doesn't belong, so it's going to try and adapt around it." Error growled out. Blue winced; that was not good at all. "How long do you think it'll take?" he asked. "At minimum? 5 months, at the bare minimum. Again, his code is going to try and adapt around the bug. And I don't know if he could safely go through a multiverse portal, so we'll have to stay put. I did not plan for this..." Error replied tiredly. Blue sighed and looked around.
"Well, we might as well look for a place to stay. At least for the night." he said, picking up Inky and walking out of the alley. Error nodded and got in step behind Blue, looking for a hotel to stay the night. They found one relatively quickly, and after checking in, settled down in their room. Error took the opportunity to take in everyone's new appearance.
Inky now had black hair, with white tips. His eyes were an emerald green that sparkled with mischief. He was a healthy tan, but was still only about 4'. Blue however, had white hair, and was about 5' 5". He had tanned skin and lean muscles, with kind blue eyes. And Error had black hair, with pale skin and was about 6' now. His signature tear marks were still there, but faded, and could barely be seen. His eyes were a dark blue, and he was covered in old scars. They certainly made for a strange group.
Sighing, Error fell back onto the large double bed and relaxed. He rubbed his face and closed his eyes, sighing again when he felt Inky messing with his hair. "Time for bed, kiddo." Error said, toing off his sandals. Inky quickly kicked off his shoes and climbed up the bed to lay down next to Error, not bothering to change into pjs. Cuddling the little boy close, Error started to nod off, barely noticing when Blue layed down on the other side of Inky. "The next few months are going to be fun." he thought to himself before he fell asleep.
