mizisua and black holes

To Mizi, Sua is very much akin to a black hole.

She is often thought to be like a strong force - untouchable, unmovable. Sometimes cold, sometimes intense, sometimes even dangerous. A pretty face, doll-like demeanor and very rare smiles. A force to be watched, studied and perceived, but never to be touched. Never to be reached for.

That’s not how Mizi sees it.

To her, Sua’s similarities with black holes don’t start, and certainly don’t end, in being a strong force. She is the biggest mystery of them all, much observed but not easily understood. Like them, you can live normally if you don’t enter her orbit - once you do, though, there is no escaping from her, no matter how hard you try.

Beneath her angelic features and enticing exterior, there is an endless amount of everything. Behind her doll-ish expressions and facade, there is a real person, with real thoughts and wants, despite most people’s inability to look at what’s inside.

Mizi’s looked at what’s inside. She loves it, cherishes it, even. Shes been sucked into Sua’s world long ago and she doesn’t think she can get out.

She doesn’t even want to.

“What are you thinking about?”

It’s her goddess’ voice snapping her out of her Sua-filled thoughts. Her hands stop midway through huddling the Garden’s signature flowers together, her yellow eyes locking with violet ones and she feels herself being sucked into Sua’s black hole again.

“Black holes,” she breathes out as the other girl takes a seat besides her, mindfully picking up the flowers so they wouldn’t get crushed under her. She snorts in the process, eyeing Mizi with a certain softness to her gaze that makes the pinkette’s heart melt.

“That is an interesting topic. Care to elaborate?”

There’s the distinct sound of rustling leaves in the distance. While Mizi thinks up a reply, the gentle breeze brings them closer to the two girls, but she pays them no mind, even if some of them do drop on top of her flower huddle.

(A leaf glitches right in front of Sua. Mizi’s closed eyes don’t catch it)

“I’m not sure if I should,” she ends up saying, shooting her best innocent smile at her companion. The ravenette visibly gulps, causing Mizi’s brows to furrow. “Is there something wrong?”

“No,” her goddess says, way too quickly for her liking. Mizi studies her idly but finds nothing except for tightly clenched fists and one singular, squashed flower.

Carefully, but firmly, Mizi takes Sua’s hand into hers and unclenched her fist to find that her nails have carved crescent-shaped marks into her palm. The poor flower is mourned for one second before being discarded by the pinkette in favor of doting on the other.

That is how it has always been and how it will always be. Mizi won’t question, Sua won’t answer; they will be drawn to each other endlessly.

If Mizi closes her eyes, she can pretend that she doesn’t know there is something wrong.

If Sua closes her eyes, she can pretend they’ll both be fine.
