Neville does NOT own illegal and or dangerous plants, no.
Neville jumped when a mailbox suddenly appeared before him in his room.
He had been simply watering his plants when the mailbox appeared with the crackle of apparition.
Neville stared at it for a long moment, wondering why it was here and if it was safe to open.
He glanced around his room once more before stepping closer to the mailbox. There was a gringotts logo on the front of it, so it must be safe, right?
Neville opened the mailbox, seeing a single letter. He hesitated slightly before pulling it out.
Seeing that the letter was from Harry Potter calmed him down considerably. A weird way to send mail, but, sure.
He opened the letter and started reading.
Neville,
I've recently come into a rather nice new housing arrangement, and figured, since our birthdays are so close together, why not invite you over?
Theres a rather large free space next to the house, and im thinking of making a greenhouse.. I think that might interest you.
I live here alone, so it'll be a good way for you to get away from your grandmother's gaze and just be you for a little while.
So, want to visit me for our birthdays?
-Harry potter.
Ps. Put your reply in the mailbox, and say ‘postmortem’ to send it off.
The letter had silly little plant drawings and vines going across it here and there as well.
Neville stared at the letter for a long moment, before a smile broke out on his face. He'd have to ask his grandmother if he could go, but he's sure that she would let him.
It was nice that Harry invited him over. He wondered if Ron and Hermione would be there too. They had to be, right?
Neville set the letter aside and went to find his grandmother.
After gaining his grandmother's permission, Neville excitedly wrote a reply letter.
The idea of a greenhouse, and helping Harry make one, was exciting. Especially because he'd be out of his judgemental grandmother's gaze.
He finished the letter, packing it neatly into the envelope.
Neville put the envelope in the mailbox, closing it. He was intrigued about how the password was going to work.
“Postmortem-?” Neville said questioningly, jumping a little as the mailbox cracked out of existence.
He blinked in suprise before nodding to himself. He was going to go get some of the seeds he's collected over the years, magical and non magical plants. He would have loved to grow them on his own, but atleast Harry could take care of them without getting judged.
…he could even give Harry some of the more dangerous magical plants. That Neville did not have stored away, no. Not at all. He totally didn't have any borderline illegal ones, either.
