Gringotts
Harry landed in front of the leaky cauldron, a bit harsher than he really intended.
The fly was long, the sun had already risen by the time Harry finally landed. He pulled off the cloak and got off his broom, before he realized that he should probably go through diagon with the cloak on.
Harry saved himself some time and just shrunk his broom, slipping it in a pocket and throwing the cloak back over himself. He walked into the leaky cauldron, trying his best to avoid people and the floating brooms and mops that cleaned the floor.
He waited near the back exit for somebody to walk through on their way to Diagon alley, and thankfully he didn't have to wait long. A wizard came along and opened the door, and harry saw his chance.
He followed behind the wizard, trying to keep his footsteps from clicking against the stone tiles between the wall and the leaky cauldron. Once the wizard opened up the brick wall entrance, Harry quickly walked into the alley.
He went to the side, sticking close to the shops. Thankfully the alley wasn't too busy at this time in the morning, but he wasn't about to risk bumping into anyone.
Harry speedwalked through diagon alley, pausing for just a moment to marvel at the twins’ shop.
Harry would have to learn glamour charms so that he could still drop in and visit his second favorite weasleys, he’d miss their tricks and chaos.
Harry then shook his head and continued walking, heading for Gringotts.
He didn't 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 have a plan for what he was going to do, but maybe he could extract enough money from his vaults to either buy a house in the middle of fuckass nowhere, or buy a tent and keep on the move.
Really, he’d rather the house option. Keeping on the move would take way too much effort.
Harry entered gringotts and took off the cloak, shrinking it and stuffing it away in his pocket. He heard a sudden hoot, and hedwig flew down from a perch somewhere up near the ceiling. He put out his arm, not having much care for his arm or his clothing as she landed, her talons sharp.
“Hey, girl. I knew you’d make it here.” Harry said, petting the owl on the head lightly. Hedwig let out another hoot and moved up to Harry’s shoulder. Harry made sure she was secure before he walked up to the post at the end of the hall, looking up at the goblin there.
“Excuse me? I’d like to take some money from my vaults and maybe see if my family has any residences left in the world?” Harry asked, shifting from one foot to the other nervously.
The goblin eyed Harry before calling forth another goblin, who introduced himself as the potter accounts manager and took Harry into a room off to the side.
After a long process where Harry had to spare some blood, it was discovered that Harry had access to the Potter vaults, Peverell vault, a Black inheritance vault, and also apparently a Slytherin related one. It was odd but that's not what Harry even cared about.
The Potters had an old manor that was hidden away in an old forest, practically embedded in a cliff.
Well, Harry wanted a house in the middle of fuckass nowhere. That seemed to fit the bill perfectly.
The manor apparently also housed a house elf, and had been kept in good status by said elf.
After a few more long conversations, Harry had it settled that he would live in the manor and have the manor enchanted in every possible way to make him untrackable, the manor invisible. Harry would receive and send letters through the goblins, if he wrote any letters at all.
Harry, for all purposes, would cease to exist. With powerful wizard and goblin magic hiding him, even old Voldy the noseless couldn't find him.
Harry was given a portkey that would take him to the manor when he was ready. He thanked the goblins and made some withdrawals from his vault, and was going to take a trip through Diagon for supplies and really anything he wanted, before he was going to cease to exist.
Harry took a step out of Gringotts, waving to a few of the goblins and patting hedwig slightly, and began to wonder what he’d buy in Diagon alley.
