Sorting
The girl in front of him had long wavy hair and placed some wild flowers to adorn them. She turned back and with a smile asked “How will we be sorted? ”
Coriolanus Snow opened his mouth to respond, but it was Clemensia Dovecote who spoke “With the Sorting Hat, the hat was enchanted by the four founders of Hogwarts to select for each house the students who possess the qualities that each founder wanted for their House”
The girl looked between Coriolanus and Clemmie and held out her hand "My name is Lucy Gray Baird, but my friends call me Lucy Gray" and the other girl promptly shook it "Clemensia, but you can call me Clemmie, and this one" she said placing his hand on the blonde boy's shoulder "It's Coriolanus Snow, but I call him Coryo"
Coriolanus shook her hand too, when suddenly a curly-haired boy said that the selection was about to begin.
A lady in a witch's hat began reading the names, in alphabetical order by surname, it would take a while for Coriolanus.
“Lucy Gray Baird”
The girl with hair decorated with flowers went to the witch who was holding the hat, sat on the chair and when the hat touched her head there was a small moment of silence until he shouted “RAVENCLAW” and many people celebrated at the Ravenclaw table. She was welcomed by the head boy and celebrated with them
“Clemensia Dovecote”
“GRYFFINDOR” and Coriolanus couldn't say he was surprised. The list continued with many students until they called Sejanus Plinth, the curly-haired boy from earlier, who was promptly sorted into Hufflepuff.
Until finally...
“Coriolanus Snow”
He walked over to the chair and the hat was placed on his head.
“Interesting” he heard the hat “Slytherin would be the ideal choice” and immediately Coriolanus thought “Please no” The hat replied “Your father was a great Slytherin” Coriolanus was afraid of being like his father and only thought about how much he wouldn't I wanted to go to Slytherin
Until the hat made its decision...
“RAVENCLAW”
