I don't mind if I loose any blood on my way to salvation
Summary
James Potter and his newfound friends try to end the on-going war between the kingdoms of Hogwarts while stuck on a ship on the ocean. On his way, he meets a mean Prince, that he finds quite endearing. With the help of his friends, James wants to bring the people the justice that his father never could.Or:James runs away from his kingdom, meets the marauders, falls in love with his best friends brother, becomes a pirate, all while trying to survive and end a generation long war.Disclaimer: firstly, I hope that summary was OK. Secondly, English isn't my first language and I wrote this fic purely out of fun so: don't like it, don't read it. I wrote this when I was really into marauders pirate AU's so yeah..
Note
Sooo. Thanks for giving this little fic a chance. As I've already mentioned, English isn't my first language so there will definitely be some errors in this fic.The first few chapters will just be the first meetings of all the characters.. Yeah. I hope you enjoy :) if not.. ehh sorry.

First meeting

In the afternoon, the crew arrived in the kingdom of Mckinnon. Or, to be more specific, they were a few miles away from the harbour, finding yet another hole in their great-plan.

Where would they even put the ship, and what would they do if James or Sirius were to be recognised?

Lily knew the plan and this whole idea was just plain dumb, but still… if it would work… She could make up for her deeds.

"We could swim," Sirius suggested while shrugging.

"I just can't believe this.," Mary whispered beside her.

"Er, yes, but the water's cold, isn't it?", James now replied.

"Oh my fuckin' god", Lily put her hands on her face and turned away from the boys.

"You can't be serious.", Lily, was baffled by the stupidity of both of them. "What did this 'oh so rich and nice' royal life do to you? You can't swim all of those miles, you'll fuckin' drown!", Lily was gesticulating wildly.

Sirius and James both looked like they'd seen a ghost. Their gaze wandered from Lily to Mary, looking like dogs, waiting for orders.

"What're you looking at me for? I can't believe we have this discussion. No, we can't swim these miles. We'll just take a lifeboat or something for fuck's sake.", Mary always had something calm to her, but now it was also resignation.

The boys looked ashamed.

"Er, yes. That's easier, but er, swimming was a good plan as well.", Sirius stuttered while looking on the wooden floor.

"Yeah whatever, James, Sirius, you just keep your heads down. We can't really do anything else.", Lily was already getting the lifeboat ready.

In the end it wasn't "a few miles," Mary told him it were one and a half at most, but it certainly felt like 15 miles. By the time they reached the harbour, it was already getting dark around them.

They placed the boat at the very end of the harbour, James said that no one would notice a tiny little boat, so Sirius believed him.

"Okay guys, make yourself familiar with this place, it will be easier to find the way back, when we're done with... business", James hesitated as to what he should call their theft.

"We'll meet in the centre of the marketplace in exactly an hour, okay?", James ordered, looking at the three of them.
"Yes, sir" Sirius saluted

"Another knife, another, another, oh I've been searching for this one, another", Remus Lupin's thought had gotten boring over time. He was doing the exact same, every day. Sometime nice people or children came up to him in his break or after work and talked to him, although most children were too frightened.

That was the highlight of his day. Just doing something slightly different.

He didn't want to be stuck in this life, but he had to earn money to keep himself alive. What else would he do. He didn't have any skills, parent, friends or education, though he could read, which was rather uncommon for a guy like him.

A rather big crowd attracted him. He heard "ouhh's", "ahh's", clapping. If he were to spend an hour just wandering around, he could at least have some fun.

He shoved the people aside to see what was going on.

He was stopped in his walk when he saw the boy standing in the middle of the crowd. He was tall and handsome and beautiful and his face was so nice, and he was so beautiful and beautiful.

He just looked at him for a few moments, not realising what the beautiful boy was even doing.

He was throwing knives. At people. And he was good.

He pulled out another knife and threw it at the man who was standing in front of a target. Sirius was looking at all the little movements of his hands and found it very, very nice to look at.

When he began packing up his things and the crowd shrank, Remus heard someone clearing their throat behind him. He quickly turned and was met with a slightly shorter, black-headed boy.

"Er, yes?", Remus asked when the stranger didn't say anything. He saw something inside the stranger's eyes shift, seemingly coming back to reality.

"I… ehh, that was really good. The you know.. eh the show, I guess.", the stranger finally replied.

"Ehm thanks.", Remus said dryly, turning away from the other boy to keep packing his things.

Sirius didn't know what to do. The stranger was quite fascinating. He wanted to know more about him. The boy had had a lot of scars, Sirius just wanted to know his story.

"Are these scars, err, from the daggers or er, I don't know", Sirius stuttered helplessly.

"I beg your pardon?", the stranger turned around, frowning

"Er, no I mean mm", Sirius was looking at the floor by now. He was embarrassed by himself, why couldn't he just be normal?

When he was looking up again, the stranger's face softened.

"Ah well, not many people talk to me, so I guess I'll take very opportunity", the brown haired boy said calmly, smiling.

"Yeah, some of those scars are from the daggers, some aren't… err do really want to hear that?", the taller boy asked self-consciously

"Ya, everything", Sirius replied, also smiling.
"But, er, what's your err, your name?", Sirius was very calm and quiet. Not very typical for him

"I'm Remus, Remus Lupin" Remus replied with the softest voice Sirius had ever heard.
