Sirius and Remus are in love. They try to hide their relationship. They aren’t good at hiding, but it’s ok.
—-----------------------------------
Sirius sometimes sneaks into Remus’s bed in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep. He climbs into his boyfriend's bed. He gets cold, and Moony is warm. He waits until he hears everyone’s breathing even out and then slips out of his bed. He carefully walks across the floor and pulls back Remus’s curtains just enough to peek in. Remus looks up at him, clearly not asleep, and pulls back the covers, inviting him in. He quickly shuffles under the covers and into Moony’s arms. He buries his head in his lover’s chest and takes what feels like his first breath of the day.
Neither of them can fall asleep without being next to the other.

“He’s rather good-looking even with the scar,” Regulus comments after he sees Sirius staring at Remus. “Especially with the scar,” Sirius says, looking like he wants to drag Remus away from all of these people and have him just to himself. “Fuck it,” Sirius says pushing off the wall and striding up to Remus. “Let’s go,” Sirius growled in his ear, dragging Remus by the hand up to their dorm. When he gets past the door frame, he is spun around and pressed up against the wood of the door. Remus stares down at him hungrily. “You just needed me that bad, hm? Needed me enough to drag me away from a party.” He says, getting inches away from Sirius's lips. “Of course, I fucking need you” Sirius growls and pulls Remus down to kiss him. Remus immediately takes control, pinning Sirius to the door and ravaging him. He pulls away to suck at Sirius’s throat and when they finally make eye contact, they know that there was no place they would rather be.
—-------------------------------------
Sirius flirts with everyone. Everyone knows this and flirts back, so it is a common occurrence for Remus to be jealous out of his mind. He is pouting in the common room one day, staring down his boyfriend as he flirts with a 5th-year girl. As if he can feel Remus watching him, he glances over and smirks. Remus growled under his breath and tore his eyes away to stare into the fire.
All of a sudden, Sirius slid into his lap and placed his lips next to Remus’s ear. “I don’t like anyone better than you, it’s true.” Sirius pulls away from his ear to look at Remus with lust and love sparking in his eyes. “You are mine,” Remus growled before picking Sirius up and carrying him to their dorm.

James likes to talk so much strategy after quidditch games, and usually Sirius would be interested, but Moony is the most distracting person alive. Especially when he walks out of the bathroom with a towel slung low around his hips and water droplets still clinging to his skin.
Sirius stares as his boyfriend saunters across the room. “Sirius, Sirius! Are you even paying attention to me?” James yells. “Sorry, mate just got distracted. I think we should have this conversation later, Prongs,” Sirius says, getting up, already heading over to Moony. “Oh my god,” James groans as he sees where he is headed, but he doesn’t stop him.

Sirius was scared. Being gay and having a boyfriend was risky. He had watched as a pureblood kid got cursed by his friends yesterday after they found him kissing a Ravenclaw boy in the alcove. It had sobered Sirius up. Not everything was sunshine and rainbows. He dragged Remus into his mess. He had dragged Remus into this, and now they both could be hurt because of it.
He has worked himself into a state of panic by the time he gets back to the dorm, and when he opens the door, Moony is there and sees the panic right away. When he goes to comfort him, Sirius shies away because what if someone is watching? Moony looks confused and hurt by that, and before he can get a word in, Sirius speaks up. “It’s dangerous for us to be together.” “What?” Moony says, puzzled. Sirius launches into retelling the story of the boy and his Ravenclaw lover, and by the end of it, he is hyperventilating in Moony’s lap while he leans against the headboard. “What we are doing is wrong,” Sirius said after a beat of silence, and instead of pushing him away, Moony pulled him closer. “No, it isn’t. It isn’t wrong, and I will keep us safe. No one is going to hurt you, I will make sure of it. Does it feel wrong when you kiss me?” “No! Of course not! It… feels like coming home,” Sirius says, relaxing into Remus’s chest. “Nothing that feels like coming home can be that wrong, can it?” Remus offers. “S’pose not,” Sirius grumbled, sinking into his lover's chest, feeling safe, secure, and at home. Of course, his Moony would protect them.

Game nights were always interesting with the Marauders. They loved to play a variety of games: spin the bottle, cards, never have I ever, but their all-time favorite was Truth or Dare. Sirius sat next to Remus on the floor, their thighs pressed together. It is finally Sirius’s turn. “Ok Padfoot, truth or dare,” James says tauntingly. “Mate, you know I love a good dare,” Sirius replies calmly. He’s done too many embarrassing things to count, this shouldn’t be too hard. “Ok, I dare you to kiss Moony,” James says with a smirk, as if he has challenged Sirius to an impossible task. Sirius freezes and glances at Moony. It is nowhere near an impossible task, as they have kissed a thousand times before. He makes eye contact with his boyfriend, silently asking permission to do this in front of their friends. Remus glances at his lips and that is all the permission he needs before he connects their lips in a passionate kiss. Kissing Moony is like settling under a warm blanket in the winter. It is comfort and everything anyone could ever want. He hears someone whistle in the background, and he pulls away for a second only to close the small gap he created by kissing him again.
It feels amazing not to have to hide their love. To be able to kiss his boyfriend in public and show everyone that Remus is his. By the time they pull apart, they are both gasping for breath and turn to see a wide-eyed group of their friends, waiting for an explanation.
Remus and Sirius officially announced that they were dating that night.
—---------------------------------------
Sirius is weak for Remus. Everyone knows this. Even when they were just friends, Sirius would fold to Remus with just one look. This hasn’t changed since they got together, but Sirius still likes to act like he is some tough guy.
“I swear, nothing can make me nervous! No test, no challenge, no dare, nothing!” Sirius boasts to his friends. He doesn’t see Remus walking up behind him. Sirius was oblivious until Remus slid his hands around his boyfriend's waist, pulls him into his chest, and whispered, “Are you sure about that... Love?” Sirius’s knees gave out, and thank goodness Remus was holding him up, otherwise, he would have fallen to his knees, not that it would be such a bad thing.
He ends up on his knees because of Remus later that night.
—----------------------------------------
“God Moony, there you are! I’ve been looking for you everywhere!” Sirius says as he storms into the dorm. It is thankfully empty as Sirius approaches the bed and crawls on Remus’s lap. He looks down at Remus for a moment, looking reverently at the man he loves. His whole world, His Moony. He kisses him like it is the last thing he will ever do, and he wants to drown in his beautiful, kind boyfriend. Remus is the first to pull back. “Why were you looking for me? Just needed a kiss?” He says teasingly and pulls Sirius down to kiss him again. They almost lose themselves in the kiss before Sirius pulls back. “I’m always looking for a private moment with you but no, that’s not why I was looking for you” Remus cocks his head, looking like a confused puppy. “Happy Christmas, Moony,” Sirius said shyly. Sirius is never shy, so Remus is confused as he opens the small tin. He looks up at Sirius in question. “It’s my constellation, so you can have a piece of me wherever you go,” Sirius says, smiling softly. “I’ll wear it always,” He says, slipping it onto his finger. Sirius slides their fingers together. They complete each other. Padfoot and Moony.
It takes him weeks to realize that Moony is wearing the ring on his left hand. On his ring finger.
