Wedding
Severus was still feeling the rush of the broom ride he had taken with Sirius. He had never been so scared in his life since his first-year learning how to ride a Broom. He was never a fan of quidditch or flying for that matter.
But something didn´t let him refuse Sirius’ idea of a romantic ride in the French southern countryside. This was his honeymoon, and this was his husband. He had to enjoy every bit of it and start trusting his husband.
He let himself be taken onto the broom and he holds Sirius’s waist like a lifeline. He was so terrified when they were going up but suddenly the movement stopped and Sirius’s urged him to open his eyes.
It was breathtaking.
The moon seemed so big.
A stunning waning moon greeted him surrounded by tons of stars.
He could feel the cool breeze caressing his face and he thought he had never seen anything as beautiful or ever felt so peaceful.
He was overcome with an intense need to kiss Sirius for letting him enjoy something like this.
He became quiet and held Sirius stronger. He let himself enjoy the ride.
They were up for quite a while; he didn’t know how long passed until Sirius started descending.
When he touched land at last, he didn´t feel relieved like every other time he had been in a broom. He wanted to go back there, holding Sirius waist, being washed over by the moon and the breeze.
Instead, he laid down on the picnic tablecloth Sirius had brought. Sirius quickly laid down by his side and brought him to his embraced.
- It wasn´t so bad, was it? – Sirius said not understanding his silence.
- It was… - he looked him in the eye – amazing, thank you, husband.
Sirius became red but he allowed himself a smile wolfishly.
- I’m glad you like it – he looked down to Severus.
- It’s so starry tonight – Severus commented looking at the nightsky.
- It is – Sirius said – you can see the star I was named after over there.
He pointed out with his finger. The star looked really brilliant just like Sirius's smile.
- What about that one? – Severus said pointing one that was extremely brilliant in a triangle formation.
- Well, that’s Altair, it’s part of the Summer Triangle, you can only see it from May to September.
- It’s tradition in the Black Family to name their children after the stars, right? – Severus asked still enthralled by the stars.
- Yes, I’d like to follow it one day – Sirius said close to Severus’s ear awaking something inside him.
- Maybe, soon, we can put some effort into getting a child to name after the stars – Severus whispered back.
Something glinted in Sirius’ eyes, just before diving in to kiss Severus passionately. Maybe they wouldn´t have children right away but knowing that Severus would be willing to carry a child turn him on.
The image of a heavily pregnant Severus ringing in his mind.
They didn´t even bother to get back to their room in the Villa.
Doing it under the stars in the middle of the French countryside was thrilling and romantic enough to be worthy of their last day of Honeymoon.
Severus didn´t know why he had dreamt of that day. He woke up with his face burning with embarrassment.
Just thinking about what he had let Sirius do to him in the outdoors of that French Villa was enough to heat his ears.
He shouldn´t be thinking about that on a day like this. He was soon to be wedded to Sirius in front of their immediate family and friends.
He was nervous and couldn´t stomach much for breakfast. He wasn´t allowed by his mother-in-law to sleep with Sirius the night before the wedding. Walburga paid no heed to Sirius loud statements about them being already married for a month, she ushered Sirius into his room before locking him inside. She was not going to allow anyone sneaking into anyone’s room.
He allowed himself to relax more during the day. He also got hungry after spending a considerable amount of time in the beautiful bathroom of the south wing of the Mannor preparing for his second wedding night.
He got lunch with Walburga and Regulus, and he took a last look to the decorations and everything in the venue before going to get dressed.
Walburga helped him into his wedding robe.
She had insisted on having something to show that he was going to supply the feminine energy in their marriage.
He was horrified by her implications and outright refused to wear a dress. Walburga laughed it off and said that there were other options to show one’s disposition than wearing a dress.
He was wearing a suit, an ethereal snowy white. The fabric was smooth and uniform, making him look sophisticated and effortless. Walburga said that it was perfect for summer.
He didn´t want to look full of intricated embroideries or lots of sparkly things. He loved how he looked in his wedding dress.
He hadn’t ever thought it would look so much like a dress though. The upper part of his suit instead of ending at hips height or even a little lower, opened forming what looked like a skirt. It was definitely big, and the train of the dress was long too.
If you saw him from behind it would look like he was wearing a dress. He actually like that visual illusion as he felt more comfortable looking like he was wearing a dress than actually wearing a dress.
Walburga had made sure that the tailor designed the dress to make him looked like he had a really curvy figure. He felt a little self-conscious looking himself in the mirror so dolled-up and outright feminine.
His longer hair looked especially dark while wearing one of the oldest Black Tiara available, the exquisite fairytale-like tiara was made of white silver and seven rubies.
He never imagined that he would ever look like a princess from a storybook but now life have proved him wrong.
- Stop doing that – Reg took him out of his musings – you look stunning like a most worthy Black bride.
- Thank you, Reg – he sighed – I’m just so nervous about this.
- There’s nothing to worry about – he sneered – even if he wanted to scape mother would drag him to the dais.
- He won´t do that, he’s already married to me – he allowed himself to laugh – Don´t you think I look too feminine? - he confided his worry with his brother-in-law.
- Of course, not – he looks him up and down – you seem perfectly manly to me, that shouldn´t bother you, you have to accept your place as Sirius’s bride, one day you will give him children, so it is better to get used to the idea – he sighs deeply.
- Reg – Severus calls softly – are you okay?
- I just know what I am talking about Sev – he looks at him with misty eyes – I guess I was just used to the idea of me someday being the groom and siring children. Our family is traditional, now there are so many things that I can´t do and it’s frightening to be honest. I want to have children and if Lady magic has decided that I should bear them then I will, but it is just hard to imagine that I am going to have to change my body in such a drastic way. If you can’t accept yourself wearing something close to a dress because it feels feminine, then how are you going to handle getting pregnant with a swollen belly? – By the end of his speech he is looking lost, and it is obvious to the both of them that he is not only advising but projecting.
- Oh, Reg – Severus turns to hug him – I didn´t know you felt like that. Of course I understand, I decided earlier than you that I was going to be someone’s bride someday, but I guess one thing is thinking about it and another thing is living it. I know that Walburga will try to set a date for me to get the potion soon after the wedding, I’ll work on it and if you need me, you know I will be there for you.
- Thank you, Sev, you are the best – he said with a smile – At least I know that you’ll get pregnant before me and can forewarn me about everything there is to male pregnancy.
- Shhh, you are ruining it – he said smiling too while rolling his eyes.
Soon Walburga was in the room. She was making sure everything was perfect.
- Soon, everyone that should know, will know that you are Heir Consort Black. Everything’s ready and most of our guests have arrived. We are on time with our schedule, and we are going to go there so you can walk down the isle at 8 pm sharp.
We have everything ready. Sirius’s best man is already here. He will enter with Regulus and Lucius will go with Narcissa. Orion has been practicing to do everything perfectly as the officer. You don´t have to worry about a thing, Lord Tommen is already waiting for you to walk you to the dais as your paternal grandfather.
Severus could only nod at everything she said. He didn´t know why but he was feeling nauseous or was that he was feeling the so-called butterflies?
He just wanted to get the ceremony done already so he could lean on Sirius and enjoy his wedding celebrations.
He was led to where his grandfather was waiting for him, and everyone got to their places. Soon he heard the music that signaled his entrance. The beautiful venue looked magic in the soft light of the setting sun.
He didn´t register the faces of all his guests, he only had eyes for Sirius reaction.
Sirius was tapping with his feet restlessly. Remus had already sent him three annoyed looks but he couldn´t stop himself. He wanted to see Severus now.
He was restless since being separated from his husband the night before. Now, watching all the guests faces and standing in the dais he felt the physical need to get his husband by his side.
When the violins signaled his entrance, he whipped his head so quickly that it hurt.
Severus was ethereal. He looked even better than he had looked in all the dreams he had imagined him in. He was stunning in that snowy white suit-dress. He felt as if Fortuna were smiling at him by entrusting that treasure to him.
He was eager to get his hand from Lord Rowle.
Severus looked even more delicate than ever standing by the tall and muscle man.
When he was given Severus’s hand, he flashed him the biggest and sincerest smile that he could.
It was real now, he was the Black Heir once again, Severus was his Heir Consort, and everyone acknowledged it.
When he was asked to say his vows everything around them disappeared, in his mind, only Severus existed.
“From this day forward, I vow to honor, respect, and cherish you. You will always come first in my life. I pledge to remain by your side through all the years ahead, striving to protect you and provide you with the love and family you deserve. Your happiness is my to protect, your laughter is mine to inspire, and your tears are mine to console. I commit to standing beside you through every joy and challenge, in sickness and health. Together, we will navigate life's trials and weather every storm. You are my chosen one and as such my pledge to you is unwavering loyalty for eternity"
By the end of his vow Severus was silently crying, his tears falling like diamonds rolling down his face that was sporting the sweetest smile he had ever seen in his face.
