Chapter 1
((Harry is 5, he can speak properly as he was living with the Dursley's and they had forced him to speak proper - enjoy the book darlings))
I blinked furiously as the light from my narrow windows shone through and temporarily blinded me. I groaned and got up, reluctant to go on with my day and to simply continue sleeping.
"Boy!" Someone shouted from the opposite side of my door. I shuffled to get out of my tattered blanket, after all, it was better than nothing. "FREAK!" The voice screamed for me to come down. I rushed to put on my clothes and ran down the stairs, tripping on the last step. The moment I picked myself up Uncle Vernon started dragging me by my hair. I whimpered quietly, I knew not to make any noise or else I would get something far worse then simply being dragged by my hair.
"We're going somewhere, freak, you better behave!" Vernon yelled, spit flying over my face. Once he had turned away I grimaced and wiped my face on my sleeve. He turned back and grabbed my forearm, hauling me to the car. My uncle shoved me inside the cramped car (as there were many things of Dudley's my Aunt and Uncle had yet to remove) "Stay quiet," He hissed, gripping my throat and squeezing. I coughed furiously, clawing at my uncle's hand. He eventually let go and took his seat in front of the steering wheel.
I shifted to get comfortable, it was useless as I was sitting at the very back where all the stuff was.
After a period of time we had finally arrived at our destination. It looked to be some sort of hospital, I assumed this by its white walls and little to no windows. I suddenly felt dread rush into me at entering this quaint building. "Get out, freak," Vernon commanded as he got out of the car. I did as told, immediately rushing to my uncle's side. We started walking towards the structure, my feeling of dread increasing.
As we arrived at the reception, a lady with a white coat sauntered to us, white teeth on display; smiling. I felt nervous, her smile looked creepy. Vernon glanced down at me and grinned evilly. "Here's the freak." Vernon shoved me towards the lady. The woman grimaced, trying to hide it with a smile but failing, and handed Vernon a large pouch, its contents unknown to me. Vernon smirked, turned and walked out the door. I wanted to tell him he forgot me (It's not like it's the first time) but something compelled me not to. The lady crouched to my height and smiled sweetly.
"Hello, Harry, It's a pleasure to meet you," She started, expectantly waiting for me to reply. I wondered how she knew my name when I couldn't recall a memory of me telling her. Heck, I have never even seen her before!
"H-hi, Miss," I stuttered out, hoping to please this (Up to now) kind lady. She grinned. "My name is Bianca Everly, but you may, and will, call me Miss Everly, is that understood?" The woman expressed seriously. I nodded. She gripped my chin, "Verbal answer, boy," she growled. I felt rather frightened, she was a kind lady a minute ago, what did I do to upset her?
"Y-yes Miss Everly," I yelped when she pinched me, tired of waiting for me to reply. "Good." She said. "Follow me, boy, and stay silent." She demanded, he speech turning sibilant. I nodded rapidly and followed her when she started walking.
We strode for quite some time, my legs began to tire and I started stumbling. Miss Everly seemed to not care and continued strutting towards wherever she wanted to go. Eventually we seemed to reach our destination, I stood in front of a mahogany door labelled with a fancy font that read something akin to 'Labelling Office'. Miss Everly pushed the door open and gestured to me to enter. I staggered into the office, scared, as this room was bare white; like the building itself. Inside the room was a brunette man with large glasses framing his face and a white lab coat. He finally seemed to notice me and smiled. "Hello, Harry, My name is Doctor Williams, you will call me that." He continued to smile sweetly. Remembering that Miss Everly told me not to speak I nodded, keeping my mouth shut.
Doctor Williams was muttering under his breath before lifting his arm in the air and speaking an incantation which sounded like 'Accio'. A clipboard flew into his hands, I wasn't really surprised, I presumed what I did (The Dursley's would refer to them as 'freakish abnormalities' but I refuse to call it that; it seemed like magic) was something like magic, or witchcraft as I had heard the term when Dudley was watching his shows.
I noticed that Miss Everly wasn't in the room and figured she had left. Doctor Williams walked to me and bent down so he and I were eye to eye. He glanced at his clipboard and resumed eye contact with me. "Well, Mr Potter, your name will no longer be 'Harry' but rather Experiment 007, understand? You will not respond to anyone calling you 'Harry', if I head you doing such then.. the consequences will be severe." Doctor Williams explained, a serious expression plastered onto his sharp features. I nodded once more, but I was reluctant to be called something as silly as '007' and not my actual name. He seemed to see the defiant look in my eyes and smirked, though he only succeeded in looking constipated. "I see that look in your eyes, boy, this next part will make sure you will regret not listening to me." Doctor Williams had a malicious glint in his dark brown eyes. It was an ugly shade, quite suited to his personality.
He got up and grabbed a necklace thing, it looked like a collar. He resumed his position in front of me and placed the collar on my neck. It was a dark grey collar with the numbers '007' embedded into it in green. I tried getting the collar off but it didn't seem to be working so I let it be. Doctor Williams smirked. I sneered.
He scowled and took a stick thing with a button on top of it, it looked like a small lever without its base. He pushed the button (which was a dark shade of red) and I screamed in pain as the collar seemed to be shocking me.
I whimpered in affliction as he continued pressing into the button. Tears had built in my eyes and were now streaking my porcelain coloured face. "S-stop, please!" I pleaded, hoping he would quit it. His smirk widened and he pushed the button more. I screamed in agony, begging him to stop. He eventually did and forced me into a sitting position. I still felt dizzy from the pain.
"Now, as that's over," Cue the hideous smirk that definitely didn't look attractive on him. He pulled out a massive book from nowhere and opened its worn pages. "I will be giving you this book, you will read it in your room." he instructed, handing me the book. I nodded. Doctor Williams opened the door and led me down the white hallways, we eventually reached a door (there were many doors too, against the wall and one in front of the room I had to be situated in). It was a tall door and had grey wood instead of the mahogany I had seen in Doctor Williams office. He handed me folded clothes (White of course, it seems as if no one thought of colour when creating the building) and told me to enter the room and to not create a problem with my roommate. I was confused. Roommate?.
I did as told and went into the room. As I expected the walls were white and the room was laden apart from a bed and bedside table with a lamp sitting on top of it. Its better than my cupboard, that's for sure. I had finally noticed the person in my room (turned out to be my roommate) and yelped. "H-hi," I greeted, hoping this person wasn't mean like Dudley or ignored me. Though I would prefer the latter.
"Hello!" she chirped, happy to have a new friend. I took a look at her. She had long blonde hair which was slightly wavy and bright blue eyes, she was wearing the white uniform that Doctor Williams gave me. "What's your name?" My roommate asked, quite curious about me. "H-harry Potter, but Doctor Williams said that i'm experiment 007" I replied, giving a hesitant smile. "That's a lovely name, Harry! I'm Luna Lovegood, I'm experiment 006! Hey! we match! 007 and 006!" Luna grinned, her eyes sparkling. "Y-yeah, we match, um- can you turn around so I can change please?" I asked tentatively, still shook from when the doctor had shocked me with his button thing. I can see Luna has a collar too, except 006 was embedded in blue.
"O-oh sure!" she reddened and turned around quickly. I wore my clothes as fast as I could, it was uncomfortable but I could live with it. "You can turn back now," I smiled. Luna seemed like nice person. I climbed onto my bed as Luna looked at me. "Can we get to know each other?" she queried. I nodded. She beamed, "Great! How about I ask one question and you answer, and then you ask the question and I answer, get it?" She suggested. "Sure," I agreed, shifting to get into a more relaxing position. "Great! I'll start, what's your favourite colour?" Luna questioned. "Blue, what about you?" I shot her a question. "Purple." She answered.
"What's your favourite animal?" I inquired, intrigued for her answer. "Bunny or Rabbits, you?" she sat up on her bed and looked at me. "Owls or snakes, they're adorable." I said happily. She Oo'ed.
I yawned, tired by the day's events. "Sleepy?" she chuckled. I nodded, starting to doze off. "Goodnight." I muttered, but I'm sure Luna heard me as that last thing I had heard was a 'Night, Harry' back before falling into Morpheus' arms.
What a day.
