Harry, Ron and Hermione were in the great hall for breakfast when the owls began diving down onto the tables to bring the morning post. Harry could hear other students excitedly opening their packages that they had been eagerly waiting for and others with howlers that could be heard echoing off the walls of the hall every now and then before they tore themselves up into a million tiny pieces. Hermione had got a book about the history of some plant that Harry didn't care about and Ron had yet again got a howler from his mother.

"IF YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT MAKING ANOTHER STINK BOMB IN POTIONS CLASS YOU WILL BE COMING STRAIGHT HOME, DO NOT MAKE ME COME DOWN TO HOGWARTS AND DRAG YOU OUT OF THERE MYSELF RON WEASLEY!"

The voice of Ron's mother bounced off the walls and the hall fell silent to listen in to what she had to say.

"I didn't even make the damm thing," Ron slumped back in his chair and sighed, "it was you who made it."

Ron pointed at Harry who couldn't manage to hide his smirk.

"Sorry mate but you have to admit the face on Snape was priceless," Ron did not look impressed and began to shove spoonfuls of his breakfast into his mouth aggressively.

"Careful you don't choke Ron, your mum might have to drag you out of here in a body bag," Herminone had a disgusted look on her face as she watched Ron fill his mouth with anything he could find on the table in front of him.

Harry laughed and began to eat, he didn't expect that he would get any post but just as he was about to reach across the table for a piece of bread an owl landed right beside his hand. It held a small pink box in it's beak that was adorned with a ribbon tied in a bow. The owl was large and it's eyes bore into Harry's menacingly. He took note that it looked like an Eagle Owl, but Harry was more focused on what it had for him. He took the box from it's beak and it flew off almost instantly, leaving a gust of wind behind it from it's great wings.

"What's that Harry?" Hermione looked over with curiosity at the small box in Harry's hand.

"I don't know, I wasn't expecting any mail," Harry answered honestly, shrugging his shoulders, beginning to undo the ribbon around the box.

"Let's have a look then," Ron had finished his meal and grabbed the box from Harry's hands, pulling away when Harry moved to take it back.

"Ron give it back," Harry was sat watching Ron open his package, he thought that he would stand no chance trying to force Ron to give it back to him. He admitted defeat almost instantly.

"Looks like it's from one of your secret admirers Harry, I wonder which lovesick girl sent you this," Ron was practically shouting his words which attracted most of the Griffindor table and soon a small crowd formed around the three.

"What is it Ron?" Harry was becoming impatient and whilst Ron was showing it to some first years with his guard lowered he snatched it back and turned his back to Ron so the other couldn't take it back.

"What is it Harry, have you been waiting for this for a long time?" Ron joked, but Harry was focused on the box

He looked down at the contents and saw that there was a note and a single chocolate inside.

The note read:

'It's your favourite, enjoy it. ~
From your secret admirer'

Harry had an idea of who it was from but wondered why they would send it to him now of all times. He took one last look at the chocolate before closing the lid and stuffing it inside his robes.

"Woah, have you got something to hide Potter?" A student called out which earned a roar of laughter to emerge from the other students.

Harry was sure that his cheeks had turned bright red and he needed to find a way out of the hall.

"I need to go," Harry quickly moved through the students who were still laughing, taunting him about who the admirer could be.

"Is it Cho Chang?"

"What about Ginny Weasley?"

"I wonder if that chocolate has a love potion in it?"

"Who could be so desperate?"

Harry ignored all the remarks and rushed out of the great hall into the corridor where there were less students. The further he got away from the hall the calmer he felt and he rested his back against a wall momentarily. His heart was racing from how fast he ran away from everyone and he placed a hand on his chest in attempt to slow it down.

He took the box out from his his robes and opened it once again. He knew that if it were from who he suspected they would have left some sort of hint. That's what they always did. Harry inspected the box, the chocolate and the note but found that he couldn't see anything out of the ordinary.

For a moment he was lost for what to do next but as he looked around he noticed a painting on the wall. A man appeared from the darkness and then disappeared again. This sparked an idea in Harry's head.

"Maybe the hint is hidden or something,' Harry spoke aloud to himself. There was no one there to hear him anyways.

He took out his wand and cast Revelio toward the box, hoping that something would happen and Harry thanked Merlin that something did. The words on the note began to melt off the paper and in their place new ones appeared.

The note now read:

'Meet me at the astronomy tower, and
do not eat the chocolate.'

Harry's curiosity grew and he made his way to the astronomy tower, practically throwing himself up the stairs. Once he reached the top he was fully out of breath and bent over to steady himself.

"Did you like the gift Potter?" A voice came from the other side of the room and Harry smiled.

"Draco," Harry was still out of breath and only managed to get out Malfoy's named inbetween pants. He looked up from his bent over position and Draco stood with his arms crossed in front of him.

"I've been waiting here for almost 30 minutes," Draco had a serious face, but Harry knew he was faking it.

"I'm sorry, everyone wanted to know what I got, and... well, who sent it," Harry managed to stand up and he made his way closer to Draco. He could see that Draco's facade of seriousness was breaking ever so slightly as he made his way over.

"Well I needed to talk to you," Draco rolled his eyes and sighed. Harry smirked.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" Harry was close enough now that he could lower his voice to just above a whisper and he could see Draco hold his breath for a moment.

"The chocolate. I made a love potion and needed someone to help me test it," Draco blushed slightly and Harry tried to hold back his laughter, "Don't laugh at me Potter, it's important for my final grade in potions."

Draco pushed Harry's arm without much force and glared at him with as much of a glare as possible but this made Harry laugh even harder.

"I'm sorry I just don't see how a love potion is going to work on me," Draco's face was screwed up with confusion. It was cute.

"What does a love potion do Draco?" Harry had stopped laughing and looked at Draco with a fond smile.

"It makes a person deeply infatuated with another," Draco looked even more confused, "Why are you asking me this Potter?"

"Well... I'm asking because if the love potion is supposed to make a person infatuated with another, what is the point of the love potion if the person taking it is already utterly obsessed with the person giving it?" Harry made sure to talk slowly so that the words sunk in and after a moment Draco's eyes widened and his mouth fell open slightly.

Although, this only lasted for a moment and Draco's expression quickly changed to one of mischief.

"I suppose so, it couldn't hurt to try though, right?" Draco's eyes had a glint of playfulness in his eyes and Harry was almost scared for what would happen next. Draco was extremely unpredictable, but Harry had come to love that about the other.

Draco moved quickly, giving Harry no time to react and he reached inside Harry's robes and took the box into his hands. Draco took the chocolate from inside and handed it to Harry.

"Let's do a little test, if you're really as in love with me as you say you are, nothing will change when you take the potion," Draco smiled, urging Harry to eat the chocolate.

Harry obliged almost instantly. It was honestly embarrassing how much of a hold Draco had on him. He put the chocolate between his lips ceremoniously and made sure Draco was watching his every move. If he was going to do this, he may as well make a show out of it. He moaned slighlty as he bit down and the choclate exploded with flavour in his mouth.

The chocolate was sweet and smooth. It melted onto his tongue and he could feel the love potion seep through his veins but as time went on he felt no different.

'"You know it's funny Draco, I've got all these thoughts of you racing round my head right now."

Draco looked disappointed at Harry's words.

"And I would think that is was the love potion if my mind wasn't like that all the time anyway." Draco smiled once again and Harry smirked triumphantly.

"I guess you were right Harry,"

"Wait," Suddenly a thought passed through Harry's already full head, "You still need to test the potion don't you? To see if it actually works. Can't you just test it on a ghost or something?"

Harry didn't like the thought of someone else being in love with Draco, even if it was synthetically. His brow furrowed and it was now Draco's turn to laugh.

"Do you really think that was the reason I brought you up here?" Draco looked at Harry with a fondess and tilted his head slightly.

"What other reason could there have been?" Harry was completely clueless at this point.

"I think this is a good reason," Draco pulled Harry close to him by his robes and placed his lips on Harry's.

The two moved in sync and their heatbeats became one. Draco moved his hands to rest on Harry's shoulders and Harry moved his to rake through Draco's styled hair, most likely ruining it completely. The two broke apart after needing to breathe, but their foreheads stayed close to eachother and their breaths mingled in between the short distance between their lips.

"Don't worry Potter," Draco whispered against Harry's lips, "I tested the love potion already. I tested it on Blaize and for your information... it works."

Before Harry could respond with a jealous rambling, Draco caught his lips once more and the two were once again reduced to heavy breaths and a pounding heartbeat.
