It all started with a party. They were celebrating Gryffindor winning the quidditch cup against Ravenclaw. Remus was sitting in the corner of the common room reading his book when suddenly Sirius grabs his book.
“Hey! Give me my book back, Padfoot!”
“Come on Moony! We’re about to play never have I ever!” Remus groans but follows Sirius to where the rest of their friends are already sitting in a circle. Remus sits down in between Sirius and Peter as Lily explains the rules.
“Basically you just take a shot if you have done whatever the person said,” Lily explains.
“I’m not sure this is a good idea,” Remus says unsurely.
“Don’t be a party pooper Moony!” James exclaims. Remus just groans again and rolls his eyes.
“Who wants to start?” Mary asks while clapping her hands together once.
“I will!” Marlene says, “Never have I ever snuck out in the middle of the night.”
“That’s a lame one,” Sirius says as all the marauders take a shot along with Mary. Marlene and Lily are the only two who don’t take a shot.
“Well if mine is so lame, why don’t you do one Sirius?”
“Fine, I will. Let’s see… Never have I ever made out with someone in a broom closet.” James takes a shot along with Lily, Mary, Marlene, and Remus.
“Moony!” Sirius exclaims. “Who did you make out with in a broom closet?”
“No one that you need to know of. Also why aren’t you questioning James as well?”
“Because he probably made out with Lily since she also took a shot.” James and Lily share a look at that statement. It’s not false per say but it’s also not the full truth.

“Why exactly are we crashing a Gryffindor party?” Regulus asks.
“Because, Reggie, it will be fun,” Barty responds. Regulus huffs and rolls his eyes very dramatically because he is a Black after all.
“Stop calling me that, Barty.”
“What if I don’t, Reggie?”
“Bartemius Crouch-” Regulus says as he tries to attack Barty. Evan comes between them and says, “Stop fighting guys. Let’s just go and have a good time at the party.”
The trio of Slytherins walks into the party like they own the place. Some people stare at them but most people just ignore them and keep partying.
“Look!” Barty shouts and elbows Regulus. Then he points at the Gryffindors sitting in a circle. “There’s your brother and his friends! Let’s go join them.”
Barty grabs Regulus’ wrist and drags him towards the circle of Gryffindors. Regulus tries to protest, “Barty no-” But he is cut off as they arrive at their destination, Evan not far behind.
“Do you mind if we join you?” Barty asks.
“Go ahead I guess,” Sirius responds.
“Cool,” Barty smiles and sits down patting the spot next to him for Regulus. Regulus shakes his head. “C’mon Reggie.”
“I told you to stop calling me that.” Regulus sits down next to Barty anyway. Evan was already sitting on the other side of Barty.
“What are you guys doing?” Evan asks.
“We’re playing never have I ever,” Marlene explains. “Do you guys know how to play?” All three of them shake their heads. Lily explains the rules and how to play to the trio and the game continues. It’s Remus’ turn to say something.
“Never have I ever… cheated on an exam.” Sirius and Barty both take a shot. Everyone expected this though so no one bats an eye.
“Who’s turn is it now?” Lily asked.
“It’s mine,” Peter says, “Never have I ever kissed someone of the same gender.” Remus, Sirius, James, Marlene, Regulus, Barty, Evan, and Mary all take a shot.
“That is more than I expected,” Peter says.
“How about you all explain your stories,” Lily suggests.
“I’ll start,” Evan says, “I’ve kissed Barty, we’re dating.”
“I guess that covers mine then,” Barty shrugs.
“I’m dating Dorcas,” Marlene explains.
“I’m a lesbian and have kissed many different girls,” Mary says.
“Remus and I are dating,” Sirius says, leaning over and kissing Remus on the cheek.
“Wait, how come Sirius didn’t take a shot for making out with someone in a broom closet?” Evan asks.
“Bold of you to assume that we make out in broom closets,” Remus says. “We just do it in empty classrooms and our dorm.”
“Anyway, moving on! Sirius was my first kiss,” James explains and smiles at Sirius. Everyone turns to look at Regulus as he is the only person who hasn’t said who he’s kissed.
“Uhhh, bye,” Regulus stands up and bolts.
“Follow him!” Sirius exclaims, taking off after his brother. Everyone in the common room turns to look at them as they bolt out of the common room before shrugging it off and resuming the party. Regulus keeps running, unfortunately Sirius is faster than him and catches up quickly. Sirius grabs the back of Regulus’ robes causing Regulus to stop.
“Who could you possibly have kissed that would make you run away instead of telling us?” Sirius asks. By now the rest of the group has caught up. Regulus looks at the ground and mumbles something.
“I didn’t quite catch that. Can you repeat it?” Sirius asks. Regulus mumbles it slightly louder.
“What was that?”
“It was James. I kissed James.” Regulus says. Sirius immediately whirls around to look at James. “You have ten seconds James.” James immediately takes off running with Sirius not far behind.
“Sirius wait!” Regulus tries to yell out to no use. Sirius can’t hear him. Eventually they come to a stop when Sirius corners James in the corridor.
“When and why did you kiss my brother!?” Sirius demands.
“I’m dating him,” James explains.
“But I thought you were dating Lily,” Sirius tilts his head slightly.
“I am.”
“What?”
“Reg, Lily, and I are all dating each other.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah.”
“Are you guys happy?” Sirius asks quietly.
“Yeah, we are,” James responds with a smile.
“That’s good,” Sirius nods. Marlene starts clapping.
“This was great. Glad you guys got this out of your system. Anyway, can we go back to the party?” She asks. They all nod and head back to the Gryffindor common room to resume partying. They decide to not resume their game in case something else like that happens.
