We are flying across the air, around the castle, dodging the different colored spells and curses along the way while Severus has this tight grip around me the whole time. I try to push myself further away from his chest to look up to him while frowning:"Why didn't you let me fight him?! There was an openi..-!", he just presses the back of my head firmly against him so my nagging gets muffled. Even I can't see his face, I can just feel he's upset. But... The feeling of his strong arms around me... The warmth that radiates thru these clothes... I missed this. Feeling him close. Even in a time like this, it brings me comfort. That's when I close my eyes and inhale the scent. Sev. Soon enough, a soft whooshing sound echoes around when we land, and Severus immediately places me on the surface of a desk to sit and pulls away. "Huh?" I quickly look around where he brought us. Potions class?
It's not as damaged as the rest of the castle - at least not yet. However, there are some bottles and jars fallen down from their shelves. Probably because all of the strong shakes that time to time keeps happening. Why he brought us here? "Seems that I underestimated how rotten your brain is. You really were trying to go against with the Dark Lord himself? How dumb can you be?!" Severus hisses while having his back facing me while sorting something around the counter further away. "Ey! I freaking slaved a fucking troll to come down there to get you!! I saved your life. A word of a 'thank you' would be ni..-", "You shouldn't have come!!!" he slams his hand against the counter. It made me flinch abit, but after he starts muttering something about how I am in even greater danger, I quickly compose myself and jump down from the desk:"Sev, of course I came to safe you. Only an idiot would have done nothing!".
As soon as I land on the floor, instinctively putting part of the weight on the right foot, this sharp pain makes a quick visit on the bleeding knee and I let out a sharp hiss:"Ash..!". This caught Severus's attention, and he quickly took a glance between me and the bottles. Then he snatches few of them and rushes to me:"Sit back down.". "Huh? N-no, it's fi..-" I managed to say before he puts down the potions from his hands onto the desk, then forcefully pushes me back to sit there. I try to push him away by the shoulder:"Sev, it's fine. It's really noth..-", "You're going to tell me all of the places you are wounded. And I won't be hearing any objections on your behalf." he glares down to me with cold and calculating manner. There are all kinds of potions and pipettes laying down beside me. "W-wounded?" I ask little bit stunned. All I have is this one on the knee. Rest of the blood came from the others. But Severus doesn't know that. Without further a do, he starts scanning me thru. "Sev, please listen to me. It's not..- A..-!" he cups my face and tilts my head back, left, right and forward. What is he doing?!
After that, he lets go and keeps on touching, poking, twisting and turning my hands, legs and sides. I must look rough because all of that blood that has been spread on me from other people and such:"This isn't mi..- Uh, Severus. Please. Just..-". He's not listening to me. I can see it from his eyes. And from... His hands. That are actually shaking. That's when I realize - he's actually in panic state. "Sev..- Sevy." I try to speak calmly and make him stop. But he's too far gone in the anxiety he can't hear me properly. Quickly, I slap his hands away, cup his face and force him to look into my (e/c) eyes. "I'm here." I breath out. Severus looks stunned and froze right in there. "You are here. We both are. We're okay." my soothing whisper finally carries into his ears as I gently caress with the other hand to remove a piece of that black hair away from his worrying face. The look of relief washes over him and he cups my face:"(Y/..-", Severus crashes his lips into mine to kiss so deeply - in needy way. Like I would disappear soon. Immediately I melt into it and wrap my arms around him and we pull each other close while I'm still sitting on the desk.
The mixed waves of electricity and calmness goes up and down our whole bodies. Tears raises on my eyes and I don't even try to push them down. Let them. Let them fall and tell the story how much I missed him. How truly scared I was for him. But he's here now. Safe. With me. And I am not planning on leaving by his side ever again. This fade bombing sound above, followed by the clatter of the bottles around the Potions classroom brings us back into the reality, and we slowly pull away from the kiss. But not too far. "I love you." Severus breath out while caressing my cheeks with his thumbs, sounding like this would have been something he has wanted to tell me long time ago. "I love you." I reply with tender smile. Both of our hearts are slowly starting to calm down. "It was... The most reckless... Idiotic thing you have ever done, badger. Please don't do anything like that ever again." he presses his forehead against mine. Soft chuckle escapes from me:"Told you I wasn't going anywhere.".
Before he can say anything to that, I lean away, wipe off the tears and look him in the eyes:"I'm going to be there for you, Severus. Now. Forever and... Always.". He looks a bit stunned, but maybe part of him already knew that. He just got proofed he's not alone. My face goes red for some reason and I frown thru the blush:"...So, you better get used to it. Alright?". That same gentle smirk he makes anytime he has managed to tease me slowly appears on his lips:"We'll make Unbreakable Vow on that?". His words immediately brought me back in time when we were at the Hospital Wing and how I joked about the vow regarding the mind reading. Can't help, when this big smile raises on my face:"Don't think that'll be necessary.". It makes him chuckle softly and he pecks this tender kiss against my lips. It's true. Neither of us needs to make a promise or a vow based on magic to be able to trust for the other one to be there. I love him. So darn much. And I guess he likes me too.
Soon after, Severus started to heal the wound on my knee and I began to tell him how we need to find the others - specially Harry, and tell him he is one of the Horcruxes. "And how do you think he'll take the news he needs to sacrifice his own life to save us all?" Severus asks. I shook my head a bit:"I'm not sure. Yet. How do people wish to be informed they need to die so the rest of us can be free?". That earns a little smirk corner of his mouth. No matter how serious this all is, it is nice to try at least make the best of it. Our little bubble breaks when we hear some foot steps coming this way. Both of our heads snaps towards the sound and I jump down from the desk, wands ready. Immediately, the dark figure who seems to be on Voldemort's side enters to the room and sees us. But they had no change when Severus in seconds shoots a spell to stun them and they quickly fly back, hits their back against the wall behind and collapses. "I'll count that as a one kill for you." I grin while heading towards the door and stride over the body on the floor. Severus watches after me little bit confused:"Pardon?". "I'll explain it on the way. Come on! We gotta keep moving." I wave my hand at the doorway and disappear behind the corner, and he rushes after.
We run around the ruins side by side. Anytime an enemy happens to walk past, one of us uses magic to either toss or stun them and keep on going. Can't even count at this point how many I've got. Meh, I'll just wait for Sirius's answer and say the higher number. We must find Harry and tell him the truth. I'm still unsure how we're going to break it all down that he..- "RAAAAHH!!" all of sudden someone yells as they are about to attack behind the corner. Wha..-?! It happens all so fast; my eyes widens out of surprise and because I was already running ahead of Severus with full speed, I had no change to dodge them or protect myself. "Accio!" Severus uses his wand and I gets spun and pulled immediately into his arms - out of the enemy's reach. "Wow!" I gasp baffled. As soon as my body collides against his, Severus firmly grabs me by the waist, keeping me close. And without taking his eyes off the Death Eater before us, he points the wand and blasted them out of the window.
We stay like that for a moment longer as we both stare at the broken window in front of us. That was close... "Thank you." I pant out, still a bit stunned what just happened. Compared to the other times during this war, I've never felt this safe before. Being in Severus's arms like this - part of my body under his long cape, the firm grip he has around the waist, feeling him close... It really makes me feel untouchable and protected. He truly is a powerful wizard. Severus then holds onto my left hand that is resting against his chest, his thumb quickly doing the caressing emotion against the skin:"It'll be for the best if we stay close.". "Right." I nod, and feel these small butterflies in my stomach. With that, he holds onto me by the wrist and we are about to continue to run. When all of sudden, someone's gasp echoes from the other side of the corridor:"(Y/N)!!". Huh?!
Severus and I immediately freeze and turn to see who it is - both feeling a bit alert. My face goes from confused one into happy one when I realize who it is:"Neville!!". The boy is peeking behind the corner further away:"I-it is you!". As he comes in sight fully, I see how all of his clothes are dirty, little bit ripped here and there as well as some blood has streamed down from his forehead - but otherwise he looks to be doing alright. My heart fills up with joy to see he's still alive. But before any of us can say or do anything else, Luna comes behind the corner, soon followed by Tonks, Remus, Sirius, Hermione, Ron and Harry. They are all here! All of them got some small injuries here and there, but nothing major to be concerned about. Just when I'm about to tell how glad I am to see all of them, Sirius tucks Harry behind him and points his wand at Severus - Hermione and Ron doing the same right after. "Let her go, Snape!" Sirius rasp out. What the..-?!
