While flying on the hippogriff up in the air around the castle, I can see the terrible sight how there are tons of Death Eaters casting different colored spells while flying around in their black smoke form into the castle thru the windows and doors - destroying everything from their way. They even got giants and huge spiders on their side. How in the world did they got them to join? That's when my focus goes to the two familiar students who are fighting against the enemies further away. It's Cho and Cedric. They are holding hands while casting spells left and right. They really are doing a good job while fighting. Covering both of their backs. When all of sudden, someone shoots a spell that breaks part of the castle right above them and heavy pieces are about to fall on them. Oh, no!
Cedric is the first one to notice this and quickly pulls his girlfriend in his arms to protect while raising his wand above them. Knowing his strength, he won't be able to stop all of them for crushing them. So as fast as I can, I cast a spell that turns the pieces that are about to hit them into a dust. Rest of the pieces simply falls onto the Death Eaters around them and gets crushed. There is a stunned look on both of them while they are wondering who helped them as they are holding onto each other. But soon enough, Cho sees how I fly by with Buckbeak:"(Y/N)!!". "Go help Professor McGonagall!!" I yell over the loud noises and gave them a quick wave before flying out of their sight. Cho then looks up to her boyfriend and grabs him by the hand:"Come on!". And they both start running.
At this point the hair tie from my hair has dissolved, so my hair keeps floating and recklessly moving among the wind. There are big explosions happening in and outside of the castle and people are running, screaming and fighting for their dear lives. The worry raises in my heart. I need to find Severus! But where? Where he can be? Soon, my thoughts gets cut of when couple of black smokes whizes right beside us. Shit! Without wasting any time, they start casting curses. Buckbeak is quick to start dodging while I fight back. The bright lights began to flash right before my eyes, making it harder to see the enemy. Eventually, I manage to shoot one of them and they go crashing down to the battle field underneath us. One more to go! That's when I turn to see the Death Eater on my right side, ready to drop them down as well. My eyes widens when I recognize the face thru the smoke. Lucius!
It all happens so quickly; Lucius grit his teeth and casts a spell on us. Something happens to Buckbeak and we both fall. "No..!!" I gasp. Our fall didn't last long since we crash into one of the connected stone bridges near the Ravenclaw Tower. Immediately, when the hippogriff hits the ground he lets out this squeal of pain and I fly off of him. "Argh..!!" my body rolls couple of times before stopping. As soon as I get the hold of the reality, I glance to the beast further away:"Buckbeak!". Seems that he's been stunned. Unable to move. Fuck! The black smoke quickly lands about seven meters away, revealing the man completely:"Such an irony... A professor, who will never learn.". Trying to raise myself as fast as I can, despite the ache that is going thru my body:"Hnghh...". Guess I shouldn't have been so cocky last time I saw him. Considering the fact I threatened him and his son.
Before I can say anything to make Lucius reconsider what he's about to do, he already has his wand drawn out. "I know promising for Severus to keep my hands off of you was going to be a mistake. But he's not here now, is he..?" he smirks and approaches with slow steps. Severus. The sound of bombs been bombed can be heard somewhere underneath us as I get on all fours. The pants got ripped from my right knee and it's bleeding. Shit... I then shoot him a stern glare and notice how decayed he is. More than the last time I saw him. "Where is he?" I spat. Lucius scoffs softly:"Still going after him, eh? Now... Why would I bother to tell you? It'll be only waste of time, my dear. Because I'm going to make sure you will not get anywhere near to the Dark Lord and tell him about Draco.". He then lift up his wand, ready to cast a curse on me. My heart drops and the grip around my wand tightens as I try to think a spell to use on him. But in that very moment, someone appears between us and a flash of light shoots right on Lucius and he goes flying - throwing him thru the old wooden door behind him, breaking it in pieces:"ARGH!". What?!
When the flash of light dimmends and soon disappears, I see familiar elf standing in front of me and my heart fills with joy:"Dongy!!". "No one harms (Y/N). Not if it is up to Dongy." the elf stated. "You saved me, Dongy." I breath out, still amazed to see him. He then turns to me with semi-shy smile:"(Y/N) can consider us even.". Before I can say anything, he continues:"Death Eaters has already taken Dobby - the love of Dongy's life, away from him. Dongy won't let them take (Y/N) away too.". Dongy... The wave of sadness and gladness washes over me, but soon the sound of Lucius's fade grunts further away brings me back and I shook my head to get my thoughts in order. "Dongy, I need you to get into my chamber and get Muffin out of there to safety. Alright? Can you do that for me?" I ask. "Surtenly. Dongy goes there right away!" he answers. As soon he says that, I run past him:"Good. Thank you, Dongy!". And with that, he uses Apparate spell again and disappears.
Lucius coughs dust and little bit struggles to raise himself on the elbows to see what the hell just happened. He got blasted into a small of a dark room that has nothing in it except a spiraling stairs going down. And before he had the time to fully understand what was going on, I'm already towering right above him while pointing the wand as the only light into the space is shines behind me thru the damaged doorway. The look on his falls as he realizes there's nothing he can do to get out of this situation now. "You don't seem to understand, Lucius. Do you?" I breath out while pointing the wand at him. Those cold eyes lift up on me, little bit confused what am I talking about. "In the end of the day, you and I are on the same side. Whether you like it or not." I tell. He looks now more confused and hisses while dusting himself a bit:"What are you talking about?". My chest goes up and down as I do a small of a in and exhale. "Your motivation is to save your son, right?" I ask. No answer. He just keeps glaring up to me. "Well, mine is to save Severus. So you might as well tell me where he is." I order.
Knowing that every single minute counts, so I am getting quite impatient here. Lucius then scoffs:"Your pathetic love story as a Romeo and Juliet will have the same ending as they did. So there is no reason for me to tell you any..-", something snaps inside me and I lean more to him with murderous way:"If you're not going to tell me where he is, I swear to you, I'm going to modify your face oh so badly, even your wife won't recognize you, Lucius.". There is a flicker of fear in his eyes after I said that. But then, his eyes shifts to the doorway and this relief expression spreads over his face. Huh? Immediately, I turn to see what he's looking at and my heart partly jumps when I see the familiar blonde boy standing there. Having his wand pointed at me. Draco! Automatically, I shift my balance, but won't lower the wand nor leave Lucius's side. It's really hard to read what's going on inside Draco's head right now. This can't be good.
Proud, yet nervous smile creeps on Lucius's face and he's braver to raise himself to sit:"...Draco.". Mine and Draco's eyes are glued on each other. There are people flying by and part of the castle blasting into a pieces behind him. Draco. Everything we've gone thru so far flashes before my eyes. The first Herbology class. When he bullied those two Ravenclaws and I took the points from Slytherin's House. How he kidnapped Sniffy and brought him to Umbridge's office. How he ran out of the Yule Ball and I tried to go after him. The moment we shared in the Boathouse. And what happened in their manor... "Come on now, son. You know what is the right thing to do here. G-get rid of her!" Lucius's voice breaks the tension between us and Draco shifts his eyes on his father for a quick moment before shifting them back to me. And I feel the squeeze in my heart.
With slow steps, Draco walks towards me and I hesitate what to do here. No. The grip around my wand tightens and started to shake. I don't wanna fight him. I just can't. I..- Just when I lower my wand, Draco gets beside me and turns to Lucius while pointing his wand at him:"Tell her.". What?! The look on me and Lucius completely drops out of shock. Lucius blinks his eyes few times:"W... What are you..-", "I need you to tell her where he is." Draco keeps his composure even I can see he's not enjoying this one bit. Going against his own father he has always looked up for his entire life... Can't even imagine what that must feel like. Lucius shift his eyes between us, like he's thinking what to do here:"Draco, you do realize..-", "You told me to do the right thing, right father?" Draco interrupts him while the wand in his hand shakes a bit. I'm just standing here next to the boy, looking at him all stunned and amazed at the same time. Lucius grit his teeth and mutters something:"..house.". "What'd you say?" I frown. "The Boathouse. He's on his way to the Boathouse!" he finally answers so I can hear him correctly. Boathouse?
Draco and I share a look before looking at the man on the floor again. "Why? What's in there?" I ask. Lucius scoffs out of frustration:"I don't know! The Dark Lord ordered me to summon him there. He wants to talk to him. Probably has something to do with the Elder Wand.". Draco and I share yet another look as we both already know who the real owner of the wand is. "You need to get down there, and fast." Draco breaths out. I nod and start to head out of the dark room to see if Buckbeak has recovered from the stunning spell. Lucius and Draco shares a look before the boy follows me outside. As soon as I step outside, I notice there are two people dangling all the way up in the Ravenclaw Tower. Narrowing my eyes to see better:"What the..?". It's the Carrow twins! Alecto and Amycus! They are both screaming and crying to get down there. Apparently, they don't have their wands. Wait. Does that mean, that Severus took the..- "Professor!" Draco calls out. My head quickly turns to him with questioning look.
He hesitates a bit - unsure what to say:"About your niffler... I'm really sorry what happened. I'd wish that I..-", "I know." I quickly place a hand on his shoulder and offer a soft, compassionate smile. He shyly responds to it with broken one. Almost like he had forgot how to smile and now struggles with it. Then, my face goes back being serious and I let go of him:"All of the Slytherin students has been locked in the dungeons. Unlike McGonagall, I don't think they will be safe there for too long. I need you to get down there and free them.". The boy nods as an agreement:"I will, Professor.". "Good. Thank you, Draco. Truly.". We share another quick smile before he uses the Apparate spell and vanishes. My focus then goes to the hippogriff, whose still completely out of it:"Oh, Buckbeak...". As I pet the poor thing, my gaze goes to the distance. To the place that hasn't been touched yet by the war around us. The Boathouse.
