Chapter 2
Serenity watched from Harry's arms as she felt her circle move closer. She could feel the Shitenou gearing up for a fight regardless of the pain they were feeling. So many emotions were swirling around her as she looked up at the sky blue skinned person before her.
"I will not apologize for not understanding but you can work on how your actions and words affect those around you," she said firmly as she watched the person look at her then nod.
"Fair enough, Stand down my Tide, I doubt that this circle will cause war by attacking their submissive’s mentor," Kiligan said.
Serenity watched the red clad warriors nod then return to a resting position that was still battle ready. She noticed her own fighters seemed very on edge even though the others had gone to a relaxed state.
"Now let's get to important questions before we get you beneath the waves," Killigan said.
That single statement was a switch that flipped and her circle responded with arms around her and hissing or snarling as well as some growls.
"While you may be her mentor that does not give you the right to try and steal away our submissive," Zevlos snarled out as they stepped behind Serenity and Harry.
Killigan rolled their eyes. “Now Trouble you cannot stop the soul bound circle just to take the submissive under the waves, no matter how much we want to keep her away from the flame heads,” said the only non-red clad blue skinned person.
That seemed to remind them of how they arrived. “Kesmer’s Bloody Reefs!” Killigan said, throwing their hands in the air. “Fine! Regardless, her Aqua-kin’e status will require her to go to the water courts building when we get back to Nevarah,” they said with a huff.
“We will not argue about visiting there after registration but we will not be separated from our submissive, we have all claimed each other,” Zevlos stated. As he did this Serenity could feel the anger and panic that her bonded were feeling as the conversation kept going and touching on any chance that she would be taken away from them.
She was not going to let them worry or fret over this any more, so she took a moment to figure out her words then said, “I will not go anywhere that might try to trap me away from my bonded.” She let herself run a hand across Harry’s arm which was still circling her waist tightly. Once he realized she wanted to stand he carefully helped her to stand.
Once on her own feet she drew everyone’s eyes to her as her white feathered wings fluttered agitatedly behind her. She could feel how much her wings were itching but she had to hold back her own movements as she drew herself to her full height of Four foot eleven inches. She felt herself take a steadying breath as she drew on her Royal birthright and Aura that she had been learning to use before now. She turned her gaze to her Mentor then made her statement.
“I will not be forced to give up what is mine, nor will I allow anyone to coerce me into going somewhere I can be cut off from those that I call my own. I have had that experience once before and I dare anyone to force me to relive that type of pain or type of situation again,” her voice barely carried over a whisper as she finished her words to her own mentor. As she stared at her mentor she could feel her power was pulsing through her and could only assume that her eyes were alight with anger and power.
Tension was thick for but a moment as a singular male laugh cut through the air as if the person was doing everything they could to remain standing. “Oh, Your highness you truly did get a Mentee that is so much like you,” said the blue skinned male that had shoulder length hair wearing a wetsuit. Serenity watched as he held his side lightly as if he had not a care in the world but her eyes returned to her mentor when they spoke.
“So it seems, don’t worry little one, we will nearly always return you to your land dwelling circle members and I said nearly just in case of emergencies.” Killigan added as they watched their Mentee narrow her eyes at them. She was truly embodying what it meant to be an Aqua-kin’e submissive, Feisty and powerful in a cute little package of deadliness. “Messages would be sent to explain why you were not home if something arose,” Killigan said, explaining even if it was not their natural state to give explanations around landwalkers. That got a nod from the little Submissive which seemed to get her as well as her circle members to relax.
Serenity sighed, at least she would not have a repeat from when she visited her potential future one time. She felt a pang of heartbreak that she had lost everyone from that future, her senshi, her king, and the daughter that she had grown to love all the more when she had come to the past to learn from her. She felt a wave of sorrow trying to crash over her as she bit down on her lip and tried to push back the tears and pain.
“Submissive mine, what is wrong?” asked Hadrian who moved closer noticing her distress that she was not vocalizing to any extent. He worried that she wouldn’t let them help her carry this burden whatever it might be. He seemed to be shielding her from the others while she tried to control her emotions and protect her and Harry. Serenity looked up at her ACE and smiled softly with the pain easing off a bit at his protective feel. “I will be alright my ACE, please don’t worry it was only memories,” she said where only he could hear. She felt him nod as he held her close for the moment she needed.
“I do wonder, is she something alongside Aqua-kin’e due to her wings or is she only part Aqua-kin’e?” asked the one in the wetsuit as he seemed to have moved over to where her mentor was standing.
“We won’t know until we get back to Nevarah,” Killigan stated glaring at the wetsuit clad male as he seemed to have gotten closer than anticipated.
“Let us have our healer check her over once more before we discuss poraling out of here,” said Zevlos as he motioned for Phobos to go to their Submissive.
“How could a flamehead know anything of what an Aqua-kin’e would need?” asked Killigan frowning at the idea of a fire elemental getting that close to the submissive.
“Do not insult my bonded,” Serenity growled out from Hadrian’s arms as he tightened them a fraction to protect her. Serenity looked at Phobos as he stilled not sure if he should continue to approach her.
“Do not doubt your skills,” Serenity said gently as she saw him nod and make his way to her side. As he stood there he used neutral elemental spells to get the information that he needed to determine if it was safe to portal Serenity or not.
“She seems to be doing well enough, probably needs water sooner rather than later, Her bonds have settled well enough that she can be portaled as well. I would still recommend that she and the companion be in the center of the circle when the portal is used as I am not sure if either is Magic Sensitive or how they will react to being transported,” Phobos said as he looked up at everyone.
This was met with nods from the others as they thought about it. “Why don’t they stand with those that would be able to catch them if something happens? Hadrian can take one and Siion could take the other if there is no trouble with that, We can also put them and the other newly inherited between those of us that have experience just in case,” Zevlos said, making a plan.
“That works,” Phobos stated with a smile as he and his twin Deimos went and grabbed one of the jokers and held him between them.
As Jedite started to make a fuss, Serenity smiled and said, “It’s just until we get the knowledge to do things for ourselves Jedite, please don’t make a fuss about it,” she said looking at him with her innocent eyes.
“As you wish Princess,” Jedite said as he bowed to her as did the other Shitenou as they each found themselves paired off with others in the circle. Kunzite was between Damyar and Viczion, Zoicite found himself with Lythir and Rathal, Nephrite paired off with Zevlos and Harry was grabbed up by Siion since Serenity was still in Hadrian’s arms right now.
While the Circle was settling into who was going to be carrying or anchoring each other Killigan was finding it odd not to be one of the ones giving out the orders. As the circle worked, with the Crimson Tide watching for trouble, Killigan could tell that Serenity and the one they were claiming was a companion were being fussed over, trying to accept it with grace. They noticed that Alec was busy watching the two being fussed over. Which let them grin as they moved closer to whisper to Alec.
“Just be careful about being tied to a landwalking circle Alec, Al will be overprotective regardless,” they said as they cast their gaze to the members of the Tide that seemed to take interest in the circle as well.
Looking over each member of the tide Killigan noticed only one seemed to keep looking to the Submissive that was in her ACE’s arms right now. As they watched the tide member Killigan moved closer then asked, “A pearl for your thoughts Mesmyr?”
While watching the uniquely colored member of the Tide get startled by them caused Killigan to chuckle a bit. “I do not put that much value on my thoughts, I am just a member of the Tide,” Mesmyr said, trying to avoid the question.
“But I do, so talk to me,” Killigan countered grinning.
“It is nothing your Highness, she called her bonded to her,” Mesmyr stated as he looked away from the young submissive in the arms of the shadow ACE.
Killigan flicked the ear that was out in reach then stated, “and you know we keep many seals on all of the Tide so that you are secure from being called at any point so there might still be a chance of a soul bond. Think about if you truly want to be bound to a landwalking circle though.” Then Killigan moved along trying to plot how to encourage Mesmyr to pursue the beautiful Aqua-kin’e Submissive.
