Both of them were on a date in a library, reading books after lunch— that is until Kory saw something on her girlfriend’s wrist.
Silence lingered for awhile, until one of them spoke.
“Is that from... Krypton?” Asked Kory, curious about the bracelet on the blonde's wrist.
Kara looked up from book she was reading and followed Kory's eyes, which led to her bracelet.
“...”
Kory then realized it must be hard for Kara to talk about such topics.
“I-I’m sorry, it is rude of me to ask such things—”
“It's alright... ” A smile, a simple gesture yet it spoke more words than her voice. “It feels— kind of nice to have someone notice it.”
There came a hug from the ginger haired girl, then let go soon after.
“Who gave it to you?... if I may ask?”
“My friend on Krypton, she was—” her smile faltered for a second but Kory still caught it “full of surprises and happiness. I kind of...”
“Miss her?”
“Yeah, I miss her.”
Kory felt a pang of jealousy in her chest but waved it off. The girl’s gone, no reason to be jealous.
Kara must've noticed it because she felt those soft lips on her cheeks.
“I love you, you're the one that is in my heart and head all the time.”
Kara felt lips on hers, so she did what most people would do— she kissed back.
