James POV

Tears streamed down James' face as Regulus stood across from him.

Regulus Black was empirically the most beautiful person alive. This was how a wedding was supposed to feel like. James knew he probably shouldn't be comparing his two weddings, but this was perfect. His heart had been beating so hard since the second he laid eyes on Regulus in his wedding suit. He was unbelievably excited to get married to the love of his life.

James had been mildly nervous about asking Sirius to be his best man because of the whole not showing up to his last wedding, so he didn't ask. Instead, about two days after getting engaged, Sirius informed him he was going to be his best man. He said that Regulus had already asked him to be his best man as well, however Sirius claims that since he is overall the best person to exist, he should be both of their best man. He would never actually tell Sirius, but he was glad that he wasn't the best man at his first wedding. He didn't want his wedding to Lily to have anything to do with his wedding to Regulus. The two weddings were different in every way. Most importantly, this was the wedding that lead to the marriage that was going to stick.

"Hi," James heard his future husband say.

"Hi." He responded with a huge grin on his face.

"You guys ready?" The minister asked.

"Definitely," Regulus said. The man he loved was definitely ready to get married to him. James felt like he had died and gone to heaven.

 "Absolutely," James said.

"Ladies and Gentleman, we gather here to celebrate the union between Regulus Black and James Potter in marriage." The minister said, "James, you can start with your vows."

He took a deep breath. "Regulus. I love you so much. An unbelievable amount. There was a time in our relationship when you didn't believe that I loved you, a time you thought that if another option came around I would leave you. You were so very wrong, and it kills me that for even a second you ever thought that. You are the love of my life, the only option, the only person I ever want to be with. So I vow to you that every day I will make sure you know how much I love you. I vow to you that I not only will never leave you, but I will continue to think that anyone who ever could even think about leaving you is completely insane. And I vow that you will always be my Reg, my Batman."

"And Regulus." The Minister said.

"James. I've always planned on you forever. Since my sophomore year of high school, you were who I wanted to be with. I never dated anyone else since I was fifteen, because I knew that no one could come close to comparing to you. So I made this plan. I became dedicated to getting rid of any of your other girlfriends and boyfriends. Some were harder to get rid of than others, but in the end I always succeeded. But now I realize that I don't need to chase anyone away because you are mine. So I promise that I will believe you when you tell me that you love me and that you will never leave me. I promise that I will protect you against bullies. I promise that I will follow you across the country to be with youLink to the title song or force you to follow me across the country to be with me. I promise that I will help you with your pranks, and I won't tell anyone about them. I promise that I will love you forever. And lastly, I promise that," Regulus leaned forward so that only James could hear him "I will keep your secret identity of being Superman a secret." He leaned back.

"Do you James Potter take Regulus Black to be your lawfully wedded husband until death do you part?" The minister asked.

"I do," James said so quickly.

"And do you Regulus Black take James Potter to be your lawfully wedded husband until death do you part?" The minister turned to Regulus

"I do." He said with a smile. No hint of doubt showed on his face.

"Now by the power vested in me by the state of Washington, I pronounce you husband and husband. You may kiss your husband." There was a loud cheer as James leaned forward to meet Regulus. He didn’t think there was a single moment in his life where he felt happier.

A few hours later during the reception, they were called onto the dance floor to share their first dance. Regulus had picked the song saying that it encompassed his feelings for James. It was a little bit dower, like Regulus was, but it felt right. After all, Regulus was the only person he wanted to go through time with.

Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce

If I could save time in a bottle

The first thing that I'd like to do

Is to save every day 'til eternity passes away

Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever

If words could make wishes come true

I'd save every day like a treasure, and then

Again, I would spend them with you

But there never seems to be enough time

To do the things you want to do once you find them

I've looked around enough to know

That you're the one I want to go through time with

If I had a box just for wishes

And dreams that had never come true

The box would be empty

Except for the memory of how they were answered by you

But there never seems to be enough time

To do the things you want to do once you find them

I've looked around enough to know

That you're the one I want to go through time with
