Chapter 3

"I'm sorry, but these are the only two seats left," the beautiful ticket seller smiled gently, but it didn't seem to soothe the fire in the customer's heart.

Younghoon shook his head in frustration. They had arrived at the cinema very early, but they were still too late. Thinking about this, he suddenly felt like exploding. Who goes on a "date" and lets someone else sit in between them? But unfortunately, Sana only wanted to watch this horror movie.

"How about we watch another movie?"

Younghoon tried to persuade her one more time, but it didn't seem to have any effect.

"I only want to watch this movie. I definitely have to watch it today," Sana's determined expression said it all.

"But..."

"That way, I won't be able to sit close to you." Younghoon wanted to say that so much, but the words stuck in his throat. Even boys are shy sometimes!

"If these are the only two tickets left, then we'll take them. A little inconvenience is okay," Sana turned to the ticket seller. The movie was about to start; they couldn't keep hesitating.

Younghoon's face suddenly turned bright red. He was very anxious and didn't know what to do.

"Actually, you two can negotiate with that customer to switch seats. I'm pretty sure they're alone."

The kind ticket seller's words suddenly felt like a salvation to the young man before his world collapsed. At least what she said made Younghoon feel a little more at ease.

"Then we'll take these two tickets. Sana, do you want popcorn or anything to drink?"

Younghoon quickly turned to Sana after they bought the tickets. She thought for a moment and nodded.

The young man quickly ran to buy a large portion of popcorn and a large drink with two straws. Sana didn't say anything and remained silent. After all, it was a free treat, so she decided to let it be.

Much later, when the two had entered the cinema, a beautiful figure approached the ticket seller.

"Thank you so much. I didn't want to do this, but I'm just worried about my younger sister going on a date when she's still too young."

Nayeon gave a very "hypocritical" smile, reaching out to take the money that Younghoon had just paid. Her innocent expression completely melted the heart of the young woman in front of her. Whether it was because she was charmed by her beauty or because of Sana's childlike face, she believed that deceitful person.

To get these tickets, Nayeon had put in a lot of effort. First, she secretly inquired about what time the two would be watching the movie. Then, she finished her work at her family's flower shop very early so she could come here and keep watch.

Luckily for Nayeon, this movie was considered a "blockbuster" of the year, so everyone was flocking to see it, and it wasn't long before the tickets for the third showing were sold out.

Of course, Nayeon had anticipated this, so she quickly booked three tickets online beforehand. Then, she made sure all the other seats were occupied and ran to tell the beautiful ticket seller: "My younger sister is going on a date today. Please sell these two seats to them and leave the middle seat for me. They're the two who just came out of the elevator. Please help me!"

After she finished speaking, she ran off.

Luckily for Nayeon, everything went according to her plan.

When Nayeon entered the cinema, the opening advertisements were over. She quietly walked to row J, passed Younghoon, and sat in her seat.

Because Nayeon's hair covered almost half of her face, Younghoon couldn't recognize her. Moreover, the handsome young man was still feeling uncomfortable.

Flashback

"Younghoon, please sit in your correct seat," Sana gently reminded him, but Younghoon wasn't very happy.

"We'll switch seats later anyway. I think sitting here is fine."

"That's not okay. This seat belongs to someone else. Doing that is very strange. Go sit on the other side. We can only sit here if they agree."

The young man could only reluctantly obey his "dream girl," not knowing that it was actually because Sana didn't want them to sit close together that she made that excuse.

Younghoon glared at the customer who had just taken their seat, thinking: "What kind of person buys a seat and then sits between other people? How impolite. They probably don't have anyone to watch the movie with, so they like to ruin other people's fun."

But when the screen became a little brighter, Younghoon recognized that it was Nayeon—the excellent class president of Sana's class—and he was overjoyed. If it was someone he knew, it would be easy.

"You're here to watch the movie too, Nayeon? What a coincidence."

Sana saw Younghoon turning to talk to the new arrival, probably negotiating, but she didn't bother to care. Whatever happened was fine; the movie was good, so she had no objections.

"Yeah, so what?" Nayeon replied curtly, raising the black sunglasses on her nose.

"Switch seats with me. I want to sit next to Sana."

"I also want to sit next to her." That was what Nayeon wanted to shout in the face of the person sitting next to her.

"You sit there. I don't like sitting next to the aisle. The light from those steps makes me lose focus."

"But we're on a date. Don't you feel awkward sitting like that?" Out of options, Younghoon had to say something random, but weren't they really on a date? At least that's what the young man thought.

"A date? Say that again. Since when did Sana agree to date you? Don't talk nonsense. Sit there obediently. My skin is thick, so I don't feel awkward," Nayeon sneered.

"You..."

"Or are you scared, so you don't dare to sit out there?"

"Who said that? I'll sit then," Younghoon was so frustrated that he was about to explode but couldn't do anything.

It was true that you shouldn't argue with smart people, especially with someone who was both smart and crazy like Nayeon. The cinema was dark, and she was wearing black sunglasses. She looked "cool" on the outside, but inside she wanted to run away.

"Damn Younghoon, of all the movies to watch, he chose a horror movie. And it's the kind with all sorts of perverted things and killings. He wants Sana to be scared and then hug him, as if. Look at her staring at the screen without blinking. It seems I worried about you for nothing, Sana. I was afraid you would be taken advantage of, but who knew you could even comfort him."

Actually, Nayeon had wrongly blamed Younghoon, because Sana was the one who made the decision when choosing the movie!

In the pitch-black cinema, a smile suddenly appeared on someone's face as they foolishly gazed at the person they loved. But no matter what, it couldn't make Nayeon less scared.

"Nayeon?"

Sana found it strange when the seat next to her suddenly started "vibrating." It turned out that her class president was trembling in her seat. The movie had reached its most intense part; those bloody scenes must have scared her.

"Yeah, what?" Nayeon startled.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here to watch a movie."

"You're so scared, what's there to watch?" Sana pouted. Looking at her face, she knew she wasn't suited for this genre, yet she still insisted.

"Actually, I came to watch people watch movies."

The black sunglasses had hidden the affectionate gaze Nayeon had for her, but her voice was especially gentle. Before Sana could even blush, Nayeon suddenly hugged her tightly.

"AAAAAAA"

The whole cinema screamed when they saw the scene on the screen. And of course, Nayeon was scared to the point of shrinking. As a reflex, she leaned on Sana's shoulder, her eyes tightly closed.

Sana was a little surprised but had to admit that she really liked this feeling. When Nayeon buried her head in her neck, Sana could only smile blankly.

"It's okay, I'm here, so don't be scared." Sana's hand made the class president's heart almost stop.

"So soft and smooth."

So, for the rest of the movie, Nayeon clung to Sana like a koala, but she didn't mind at all.

In the air filled with her fragrance, with their hands intertwined, Nayeon felt like she had the whole world!
