Note
Okay, so this story is super old. I just found it on my computer and thought I might as well post it. Not sure yet if it will be a one shot or if there will be one more chapter. It is after the war so everyone is of age. They just went back for their last year when the war was over. Also, english is not my fist language so there might be some spelling errors.

Hermione was sitting alone in the Gryffindor common room later in the day doing some final touches on her paper due for the next day. She was beginning to feel a bit sleepy but didn’t want to go to sleep before the boys came back form Merlin knows what they were doing. They had run off about one hour ago saying something about a new thing Fred and George had invented and told her they would be back soon. Ten minutes later they came through the portrait giggling and talking in whispers.

“What are you two giggling about?” Hermione asked as she looked up at her two best friends.

“Oh its nothing” Harry said with a big smile on his face as they sat down on the opposite side of Hermione. She raised one eyebrow and gave them both a look that told them she didn’t believe them. Ron and Harry looked at each other and their smiles grew even bigger as Ron started to talk.

“Alright we will tell you, but you have to drink this first” he said as Harry gave her a small bottle of something purple.

“You can’t honestly expect me to drink that? I don’t even know what it is” Hermione said as she stared at them.

“It’s nothing dangerous, but we can’t tell you because it would ruin the effect” Harry said as he placed a piece of paper next to the bottle.

“What’s this?” she asked as she picked the paper up examining it.

“Hermione, what did Harry just say? You’ll find out once you drink the potion”.

She put the paper down and just glared at them. She had never seen this potion before, and she certainly didn’t know what the paper was for. She was sure they had gotten them from Fred and George which meant it wasn’t good. But her interest was piqued, and the boys knew it. She could see it on their smug faces, and she didn’t like it. She picked up the bottle, “this better be wort it” and downed the purple liquid in one swift motion. It tasted vile and her face showed as much. The boys squeaked in delight and looked down at the paper, so Hermione looked as well. But nothing happened.

“Alright, spill it, what did I just drink?” she asked as she looked back to them.

“Why didn’t it work?”, they both said at the same time, now looking much less smug. “This doesn’t make any sense, it worked on us” Ron said as he took a piece of paper out of his bag and held it up so Hermione could see. It was full off different images; all of which Ron was the main focus.
“What is this?” she asked as she took the paper to get a closer look.

“When you drink the potion, what you want the most is supposed to appear on the paper” Harry said as he gave her his own. “It could be just one thing or several different things. Like on mine you can see different ones, just as with Ron”

Just as Hermione was about to respond she looked at the paper on the table and lines was starting to show. The boys noticed to and got really exited again. “Finally! I really thought it wasn’t going to work!” Ron exclaimed happily.

Hermione stared at the paper. What was it going to show? Her dream job? Someone she fancied? She really had no idea. What if it showed something she didn’t want anyone to know? She loved and trusted the boys with her life, but somethings were meant to be private. Before her thoughts could go any further her eyes widened, and she froze. She knew exactly what was appearing on that paper and it made her face turn a dark shade of red. She quickly looked at the boys and by the look on their faces she knew they saw it too. Ron was almost as red as she was, and Harry’s mouth almost reached the floor. Usually, Hermione was really good under pressure and could handle quite a lot without hesitation. But in this moment, her mind went blank, and she did something she never thought she would do in a moment of panic. She screamed. Hermione Jean Granger, the brightest witch of her age, a key player in taking down the Dark Lord and his followers, screamed. It took everyone by surprise, so much so that Ron almost fell of his chair.

“Bloody hell Hermione!” Ron exclaimed shocked while trying to calm himself down. Hermione, also shocked by her own reaction, grabbed the paper and turned it so no one could see the pictures forming on the paper anymore.

“Hermione are you alright?” Harry asked clearly concerned, but also very shocked.

Hermione couldn’t speak. She sat frozen staring at the paper. She could hardly believe what just happened. The pictures on the paper was far from finished when she turned it, but there was no question what it was. Even Harry and Ron had figured it out. The first one was the clearest. It was a person pressing Hermione against a wall, kissing her in a way Hermione could only describe as hot and wanting. The rest of the pictures seemed to be of similar content, but she hadn’t really seen them properly. And it wasn’t just any person. No, it was the one and only Minerva McGonagall. Now, this wasn’t really a surprise to Hermione seeing as she did find the professor attractive, but it sure was a surprise that it was this that ended up on the paper. As she was lost in her own thoughts, she could vaguely hear voices in the background.

“What?” she asked once she finally managed to concentrate.

“We were asking if you were alright?” Ron said with concern in his voice.

“Oh, yeah I … I think I’m okay”

“Are you sure? I mean, you just screamed. Like proper screamed” Harry said looking at her.

“Yeah you bloody well almost gave us a heart attack Hermione” Ron said with a smile starting to grow on his face.

“I did, didn’t I? she said and started to laugh. The boys joined in and all concern vanished from their faces.

“Soo, McGonagall hm?” Harry pointed out when they had stopped laughing.

“Oh Merlin can we please not talk about this? Its embarrassing enough as it is” Hermione said as she buried her head in her hands.

“Oh, come on Hermione, it’s nothing to be embarrassed about” Ron said giving her an encouraging smile.

“Yeah, Ron is right. We all have crushes, so don’t worry” Harry said smiling to.

Hermione couldn’t help but smile to and leaned back in her seat “I’m not really embarrassed about fancying her, I just didn’t expect to see it on the paper. I just panicked. And you saw them they weren’t exactly child friendly” she said and felt her cheeks grow hotter.

“No, they were most certainly not” Harry and Ron said at the same time, and they all started laughing again.

Hermione took the paper and stood up. She needed to go somewhere alone and think. She told the boys so and left out the portrait. Where she was going, she didn’t know. All she knew was that she needed to be alone for a moment. So she walked through the halls lost in her own thoughts as she looked at the paper. All the pictures had finished by now and some of them were quite daring. And all of them were of her and McGonagall. The more she looked at them the redder she got. She had fantasized about all these scenarios before, and she started to find herself turned on as she walked trough the halls. Just as she was about to take a turn, she crashed right into someone, tripping over and landing on the floor. She sat up and tried not to look like a mess, and then realised who she had crashed into. Her face went as red as Ron`s hair, her heartbeat quickened, and she realised that the paper was no longer in her hand.

“Miss Granger are you alright?” the professor asked as she picked up some books she had dropped in the crash. Hermione just stared, and when she didn’t say anything professor McGonagall tried again “Miss Granger, I asked if you were alright?”

“Wha... oh y-yes I... I’m fine professor” she said as she looked around for the paper. She could not let her see those pictures.

“Is this what your looking for?” McGonagall asked and Hermione whipped her head around to see the professor about to pick up the paper from the floor. Thank Merlin the blank page was upwards was all Hermione could manage to think before she threw herself at her professor and ripped the paper from her hands. To say Minerva McGonagall was shocked would be an understatement. Hermione got to her feet, placed her hands behind her back hiding the paper, and just stared at her professor, face red as ever before.

“What in Merlin`s name was that all about?” she asked glaring at her student, whom she noticed, was bright red. Hermione was frozen. She didn’t know what to say or do. The only thing she did know was that her professor was never going to see the paper. If it came down to it, she would run for the hills, no matter how foolish it would look.

“Miss Granger, I asked you a question. Why are you wandering the halls so late, and what is that paper you so clearly didn’t want me to see?” Hermione`s heart was beating so fast she could hear it. She was starting to sweat, and she really had no idea what to say.

“Emm, I-I was, well y-you see I… The t-thing is…” why couldn’t she form a single sentence? “I was in the library, a-and I was on m-my way back” now why was that so hard? And it was believable considering the amount of time she spent there.

“The library is in the other end of the school” shit. Professor McGonagall simply raised an eyebrow and continued “So, are you going to tell me what’s behind your back or do I have to take it from you?”

“You can’t do that!” Hermione blurted out before she could think any further.

“Oh, why not?” Professor McGonagall asked clearly amused.

“B-because I d-don’t want y-you to” Hermione tried but it didn’t do any good because her professor just seemed more amused at that.

“Because you don’t want me to?” the professor asked as she took one step closer. At that Hermione took one step back and hit the wall as she answered “Y-Yes”.

Minerva McGonagall could not believe what was happening. Her brightest student was acting really flustered and could not get one single sentence out without stuttering. It was really amusing seeing her like this and she couldn’t help but tease her for it. She was also very curious about that paper. It was obvious Hermione didn’t want her to see it, but why? She was going to find out. And then Hermione spoke.

“Professor, its g-getting late and I sh-should probably go to bed now” and then she hurried out the last sentence “see you tomorrow” as she was about to turn and run away. But she was stopped by a hand next to her on the wall and her professor spoke “Hold on Miss Granger. You’re not going anywhere before I see that paper” her eyes glinting with amusement.

Hermione groaned and felt the famous Gryffindor courage return and before she could stop herself, she defiantly said “Well I’m not giving it to you”. And as she said this, she realised just how close the professor was. One step and they would be pressed against each other. Hermione`s eyes landed on the professors’ lips. She really wanted to know what they tasted like. Her gaze dropped to the professor’s breasts and she noticed that she was wearing a green silk blouse under her robes, with the top buttons open, showing off some skin. Hermione just stared until she caught herself staring and lifted her gaze to the lips again only to find they were formed into a smirk. Hermione`s eyes flew up to meet professor McGonagall`s and she new immediately that she had been caught staring. Her face flushed and she tried to look anywhere but at the professor, something that was very hard considering how close they were. Before Hermione knew what was happening her professor had leaned in so close Hermione almost fainted from the closeness. Hermione was too caught up in the closeness to realise the professor’s hand had snuck behind her back and snatched the paper from her hands. Her eyes flew open, realising what had just happened, she looked up only to find the professor some steps away looking at the pictures on the paper.

“Miss Granger, follow me to my office. We have much to discuss” she said and walked off.
