She said to him that everything changed the day she watched him defeat Lockhart as if it were nothing. It was an enlightening experience for her—the first time she saw a real man in front of her.

Since then, he became her obsession.

Of course, the honorable Severus Snape would never reciprocate the feelings of a student, but that never prevented her from continuing to try, continuing to insist, continuing to be a constant in his life...

Until one day when he couldn't hold it back anymore.

Severus wondered what face Potter would make if he saw the current state of his best friend, hiding under a table to gag on the balls of his most hated professor.

He chuckled darkly to himself. That little witch had for sure one of the tightest throats he had ever experienced.

The potions master also wondered how Albus would react if he knew that his trusted servant was about to betray him in favor of the likes of a 16-year-old.

But what could Severus do if that was the only solution he could find? While the light would never approve of their relationship, the Dark Lord was more than pleased to celebrate both their union and Hermione's marking on the same night.

Extreme times require extreme measures, right?

Later that day, Severus would kill Dumbledore, and Voldemort would finally ascend to power. Of course, before the final confrontation, the professor would have to ensure that Draco would be the one to disarm the Headmaster; so, when Tom stepped up to lay claim to the Elder Wand, the Malfoy heir would perish instead of him.

It was all Hermione's plan, with the approval of the Dark Lord—Draco's head on a tray would be their wedding gift.

Hermione and Severus would most likely be at risk? Yes. They would probably be damned? For sure. But, in the end, they would always be together.
