Chapter 1
It was another random friday, after college. Mary saw Lily in the library studying again, as always.
“Everything okay, Lils?” she asked.
“I’m feeling fine”
“You don't. You don’t even feel, as soon as you feel something you either drink, smoke or study your problems away. What’s wrong?”
“Just… Sev was mad again that I ate so much and then that I fainted. I can’t even concentrate on studying, Remus stole my cigarettes and mom is going to kill me if I get drunk one more time”
“Want to stay at my place for a while?”
“Thank you, but no sorry. I have a date with James”
“Ooh, you and that, wait what was his name again? ‘Arrogant toerag’ are still together?”
“Well, kind of, I don’t know. We’re still dating, but I don’t know if I like him that much anymore, you know? He’s kind and everything, but he doesn’t understand me that much”
“In what way?”
“He forces me to eat for him, while I don’t want to and then he says that I’m hurting him with refusing to eat and then I feel bad for him and bad for myself and I don’t understand myself anymore” Lily ranted before fainting.
“Lily, are you alright? Lily, Lily say something. Lily wake up” Mary said desperately, until Lily finally woke up.
“Have you eaten something today that wasn’t diet coke and rice waffles?” Mary asked her, LIly shook her head. Of course she hadn’t.
“Lily, please eat something” Mary tried, but Lily again shook her head.
“Lils, okay. It’s okay, I just want you to have a nice night despite your little issue which I’m sure is an eating disorder. And if that means diet coke and rice waffles, then so be it. Wanna stay at my place for tonight? I’ll explain it to James”
“Mary you know how people think about this they’ll get mad at you again for ‘breaking up the amazing couple Lily Evans and James Potter’”
“And since when do you care about those people?” Mary asked Lily, smiling, before taking Lily’s hand and leading her to Mary’s apartment.
“What do you wanna do, Lils?” Mary asked when they arrived at her apartment.
“I don’t know, I don’t really have the energy to do something”
“Then we’ll just watch a movie. What movie do you want to watch?”
“I don’t know, Descendants?”
“Of course, Lily Evans, the biggest Descendants fan in the universe. I don’t really feel like cooking, though, I’ll just order some fries. Don’t worry Lils, I’ll just order one large portion so you can take a little if you want, okay?” Mary said and Lily hugged her tightly.
Later, they were eating fries but Lily just couldn’t get herself to eat even the smallest bit, no matter how hard Mary tried to get her to eat something. Eventually, she gave up, when she noticed something.
She wasn’t singing, Lily wasn’t singing to the movie.
She looked like she wanted to, but just didn’t have the energy to do so, and looked sad about it.
Mary cuddled Lily soothingly and stroked her hair. She was shocked. Lily’s hair was falling out.
“Makes me think of the ginger cat I had as a child. She even had the same hair color as you, Lils, and the same talent to annoy me while I’m reading” Mary said jokingly, trying to brighten Lily’s mood a bit.
“Are you saying I’m the reincarnation of a ginger cat?” Lily asked, acting overdramatic.
“Yes, and a pretty one” Mary said giggling before kissing Lily.

And it felt good, kissing Lily’s soft lips felt so, so good.
When they broke apart, both of them were giggling.
“I love you so much” Mary said.
“Funny how everyone says they love me after we either kissed or fucked”
“Lils, you could’ve pushed me away and broke my heart right here and I still would’ve loved you and you know that”
“I do, I just like to hear it”
“Then I’ll keep telling you, Lils. Until you finally believe me” Mary said, and she gave Lily a quick kiss before falling asleep in her arms.
