Harry’s POV
I lay in Draco’s arms in the room of requirement not talking just being there together in the moment when I see something on the wall. It’s someone’s initials that is carved on the wall, I get curios and I get up, much to Draco’s disappointment. “Harryyyyyyyy, where are you going?” he whines like a little baby. “It’s someone’s initials carved on this wall, and I need to check it out” I informs him. This seems to get his attention because now he is getting up to and walks behind me till we stop and stare at the wall there he wraps his arms around my waist and put his head on my shoulder.
There on the wall is there a carved heart with the initials J+R inside of it. Draco breaks the deafening silent that we created when he says, “Ooh they must have been lovers, wonder who though?”. The only person I know that knew about this room was my dad. His name was James, but my mother’s name is not something on R because her name was Lily. So who is this R person.“The only person that I know that knew about this room was my dad, Draco. And my dad was not married to someone with a person that starts with the name R. What I have heard from Uncle Moony and Uncle Padfoot was that my dad was only into Lily when they went here.” Before Draco answers he tightens his grip around my waist and kiss my cheek because he can fell that I am stressed about this. “My love, there can have been a secret romance that your dad never told anyone about or maybe Professor Lupin and your uncle never told you about this because they thought that it was unimportant.” Draco says super calm. I don’t know what to say so I just turns in Draco’s arms and buries my head in his shoulder because I feel overwhelmed. He kisses my hair and begins to sway, and I instantly calm down.
The next following days I can’t let the carved heart with J+R inside it out of my head. This of course Draco notices and come up with the perfect plan that we two meet up with both Uncle Moony and Uncle Padfoot so we can ask them about it, if they maybe know something about it or if it was a secret that my dad never told anyone. This “meeting” is going to be held at Uncle Moony and Uncle Padfoot’s apartment seeing that is easier for all involved, since Moony and Padfoot are together.
Back to real time, Draco has just knocked on the apartments door and we here shuffling aside so that we don't get slapped by the door. I grab Draco’s hand and squeeze it to ease the tension I feel, because I didn’t tell them why I wanted to talk so they couldn’t come up with a false story to protect me or themselves or even my dead dad. Draco squeezes right back just before the door open and reveal a energized and bouncy Sirius and behind him a tired looking Remus that tries to calm Sirius down.
“Omg, Harry!! am I finally going to meet the famous Slytherin boyfriend that you talk about so much and that is the infamous Draco Malfoy.” Sirius says in a dramatic glamour, Remus just sighs and gesture for them to come in, but before I start to go in, I look up at Draco just to see him roll his eyes. “So, kid you wanted to talk to us about something, right?” Remus asks while he prepare tea for everyone.
“Yes, I and Draco was in the room of requirement the other day just chilling” I took a pause just to see Remus and Sirius looking at each other with a look I couldn’t read. “When I was staring at a random wall I saw that something was carved on there so I went to where it was, when I came closer to the wall I saw that it was initials that was carved.” I took a breath and Draco took a hold on my hand under the table to show his support, I continued.” It was not only initials it was a heart and inside the heart was the initials J+R, so my question is who is R? Because we have already figured that J stands for James.” When I finished my little speech, I look at Remus that now is sitting across from Draco and beside Sirius, now that he is done with the tea. That is when I realize that it can be Remus. ”I hope I am wrong about this but is it you Remus? Was you and my dad together before you and Sirius?” After I say that both Remus and Sirius is laughing, Remus answers through his laughing ”No, absolutely not i have only had my eyes on Sirius” he says and kisses Sirius cheek. ”But if not you who then?” I asks.
They both looks down at the table then Sirius looks at Remus an it looks like they were having a conversation with their eyes and Remus gives him a nod. After that nod Sirius goes to a bookshelf and grab an old looking photo book that he places in front of himself and start looking for something. In the meantime Remus start to say something.
“When we were at Hogwarts it was only James that knew about Room of Requirement, until we played truth or truth with veritaserum, and I asked where he disappeared when he wasn’t in the dorm , library nor the quidditch pitch. Sometimes when he disappeared he didn’t take the map with him but we didn’t see him on it so that is why I asked about it. That was when he answered room of requirement and told us what that was. Later in the game Sirius asked who he disappeared with. Because it wasn’t with lily because she was always in the common room. That was when he said that he was I the room of requirement with Regulus.” It was here my breath hitched and Sirius had found what he was looking for but before he could show me Draco said something that surprised us all.
“Regulus, like in Regulus Black” he turned to Sirius. “Like your little brother that was the Slytherin seeker and the heir of the black family after you got disowned?”
Sirius took a deep breath and showed us a picture of my dad kissing a person that looked like Sirius but way more beautiful. Then he begins talking. “Yes, exactly my Slytherin little brother Regulus Black. Walburga and Orion thought that he was the picture of a perfect son, that was because they didn’t know he was gay nor that he was together with a blood traitor. If I got it right Regulus and James had only been together for like a month before we played truth or truth. I felt disgusted the first time I heard this but then after I found out they didn’t hide anymore, and I saw how happy they were so I couldn’t be disgusted and take away their happiness. All this happened when we were in 6th year and Regulus in 5th year. They were together from that moment till Regulus died when he was in seventh year, he had precisely
had his 18th birthday. This picture is actually from his party, it was the first time James and Regulus met in person that year and that was because we had graduated the year before Regulus. So they were very happy that day and just a few weeks later he went away to destroy a horcrux . It was no secret that Walburga and Orion had crucied Regulus to take the mark. One thing everyone should know that it wasn’t what he wanted but James was with him every step of the way all the same because
he believed he didn’t want the mark. They had actually made plans that they were going to move in together after Regulus finished school. But all their plans were crushed when Regulus went away to destroy one of the horcruxes that Voldemort had. But he never came back so we sent out a search party for him but one day there was a radio message that came. ‘Regulus Black who has been missing for a month has been presumed dead after an intense investigation’ when James heard that he broke and said, ‘what about the plans we made’ and looked up at the Regulus star. He was like a zombie for maybe a year but then he found out that Lily was pregnant with you after they had a drunk one-night stand and you became his life, you gave him life again Harry. That is why your name is Harry Regulus Potter your dad never got over Regulus then he died when Voldemort came to your hiding place in Godrics Hallow and that is a story you know of, so I like to think that my little brother and best friend has found each other again on the other side and is now happy again with each other, now they bort are looking down on us that is left here alive.” He finishes with a voice that are wet and tears that had begun leaking from his eyes under the course of the story.
When he finished I broke, I was sobbing right out of the pain I felt for my dad because I couldn’t even imagine what it feels like loosing someone like that, imagine losing Draco like that. At that thought I sobbed even louder Draco took a hold around my waist and hoisted me from my stool and into his lap and I buried my face in his neck. He began rubbing my back to calm me from my hysterical crying. Maybe after 15 minutes I began to catch my breath and gain control again. Draco kissed the top of my head and I turned in his arms to see Remus comfort Sirius that had cried almost as much as me but while Remus was doing that he had silent tears rolling down his own cheeks. That was when I stared crying again, I turned back in Draco’s arms just grateful that Draco was here and that he wasn’t going anywhere or was he? I picked up my head and looked into his beautiful silver-grey eyes. “You are not going to leave me, right?” Draco sighed and kissed me and I didn’t hesitate to kiss back, it was a little wet
because of all my tears. When we broke away from each other he answered. “I promise that I will do anything in my power to not leave you, because I love you and I will love you no matter what.” I kissed him again and then leaned my forehead against his. “I love you too Draco.” In that moment everything was forgotten, what happened to mt dad, that we were in Sirius and Remus’s kitchen, and they were there having their own moment. It was just me and Draco in that moment. But soon everything would come back but for now I just want to bask in the feelings of Draco’s arms around me and his love.
