Ango Sakaguchi

Ango was sitting at his desk, rubbing his eyes as he stared at a screen. God Dazai makes him miserable with his plans sometimes…. Ango placed his glasses on his desk as he massaged his forehead. A headache was forming; he could feel it.

Soon, a cold chill went down Ango’s back. He nearly jumped out of his chair at the shock of reality before he slammed his head on the desk in defeat. Not for long though, as Dazai’s No Longer Human ability lit up around Ango, he raised his head and pushed his chair back as he stood.

-”What the Hell?!”

He exclaimed as he nearly fell back. When the light cleared, he looked around. Nothing.

-”God, I need more sleep…”

He mumbled, complaining to himself. Soon though when he went to his desk he noticed his computer turned off. The screen was glitching, one second it was black, the next it was his document he was working on, and then it was blue.

-”Don’t tell me I broke it!?”

Ango exclaimed as he went for his mouse and tried to see if he could fix anything. But then the screen started glowing a bright blue. Ango was off-set by this and grabbed his glasses from the table as if trying to make sure what he was seeing was real.

The screen then gave the Black screen of death. Ango slumped in his chair as he sighed heavily. Then, suddenly, he heard something. As if someone was knocking on a window. He looked up and at the windows, nothing.

-”Now I’m starting to have auditory hallucinations… How long have I been awake?”

Ango asked himself. He turned around, and his eyes were met with something that had him falling out of his chair.

-”AAHHH!”

He screamed as he fell.

Ango landed on the ground, a flipped chair lying on the ground behind him as he looked up at the computer screen. A hand. It was pressed up against the screen as if trying to escape. Ango was freaked out. Then the hand pushed more. With an electric sound, the hand escaped its screen. Ango wanted to scream agai as he back away.

-”What the fuuuuucccckk?”

He softly yelled to himself as he used the chair as some sort of shield. The hand reach further, an arm. It grabbed the table and began pulling itself out of the screen. A head with long cyan and indigo hair the emerged, then another arm and hand, and its torso. It began pulling itself even more and past it’s hips and finally it’s legs as it then sat of the table.

It had long, cyan blue hair with bright, indigo strands and low pigtails that mixed in with its long hair. Its eyes were bright yellow with cyan eyelashes. Circular glasses frame its face and eyes. It wore a business suit with gold heals and white gloves.

The ‘thing’ sat on the desk, fixing its gloves and glasses before fixing its eyes directly on Ango.

-”Hello.”

Its voice was undeniably feminine and charming, but it was also emotionless and stern as it spoke. Ango felt like fainting. Its eyes were terrifying but in a beautiful way. Still, Ango felt like he was being assessed in this whole situation.

Ango cleared his throat as he stood up, rearranging his tie and fixing the angle of his glasses.

-”Hello…”

He hesitated for a moment.

-”Ma’mn.”

He said with a slight uncertainty. The being lowered itself from the table and stood tall and straight, hands behind its back formally and professionally.

-”You may call me Yuzuki, Ango-San. I am your Ability, Discourse on Decadence.”

She spoke bluntly, yet formally and logically. Her voice was stern. Ango on the other hand, was falling apart.

-”You may perceive me as perceptions in the absence of an external stimulus; I assure you that would be incorrect in your findings.”

She spoke again. Ango had to take a moment to comprehend what she had said before just accepting this reality.

-”Wh-”

Ango was cut off before Yuzuki spoke again.

-”I lack the necessary information as to reason why I am in physical form. I can, however, infer that the Holder of Yoko-Kun and perhaps her herself are behind the action of separation of physical and mental between myself and you, Ango-San.”

Ango once again had to take his time comuting what was just said but when it clicked he gave an akward smile at Yuzuki emotionless face.

-”I see…”

He said, rubbing the back of his neck. Ango found the silence very awkward, though he didn’t say anything as Yuzuki stared at him, her face still emotionless.

-”I conclude that you are not proceeding to take the initiative during this crisis; I will assume the role of leader as of now. Yoko-Kun and Dazai-San are the ones we are searching for.”

She said, turning towards the door and walking to it. As she reached for the handle, Ango stopped her.

-”Woah, woah, woah! I can’t let anyone see you!”

He said as he let go of her hand. Yuzuki gave him a look Ango couldn’t describe.

-”This will get the both of us in a lot of trouble before we can even make it to Dazai-San.”

Ango said sympathetically.

-”Your emotional attachments and regrets of the past are irrelevant during this situation. Please asses yourself when you have the time and rearrage your system of importance. Though what you said may be of some logic to it.”

She said, stepping away from the door with more emotion Ango had seen out of her this whole time. Something then seemed to click within her brain in less than 5 seconds.

-”Apply your ability to your cellular device, or perhaps another object of usage and normality that you may carry in your possession. This will allow me to disappear, equivalent to earlier, during the time I was trapped within the computing device.”

Yuzuki said, picking up a folder.

-”Perhaps this will be of use.”

She said, holding it out for Ango. Ango grabbed it and used his ability on a page within the folder he could throw out after they were done. Yuzuki was then consumed in a bright flash of light before turning into a small ball of light and being sucked into the page.

-”This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever done…”

He said tiredly as he walked out of his office and into the chaos that was sure to come.
