Kyoka Izumi
Kyoka was inside a new store that had recently opened up. She wanted to find some gifts for both Atsushi and Dazai. Right now, she was searching for something small yet perfect for them both. It was difficult, probably the most difficult thing she’s ever done. She needed it to be perfect. Failure was not an option.
-”Which one…”
Kyoka said as she looked at some jewelry. Dazai didn’t wear much jewelry, but Kyoka knew he was one for small things like these. The brooch he wore was evidence enough.
As Kyoka was coming to her decision, a weird and empty feeling washed over her. She backed away from any people and prepared herself to grab her Wakizaki, located in her Kimono. As she scanned her surroundings, a bright glacier light erupted from her.
-”Dazai-San…?”
She asked as she looked around, confused. This wasn’t how his ability worked. She was then caught off guard by a blind purplish pink light taking over her body. She prepared to attack anything that came her way, but she was only met with Demon Snow.
-”Demon Snow?”
She asked, confused as she didn’t call upon her. She looked at Demon Snow. She looked… Different. It was only small little details. The only big change was that she had legs instead of the ghost tail she had before. Her hair also didn’t seem to float like it was underwater like before. She also didn’t have her Katana in hand like she usually did.
Demon Snow rushed to Kyoka’s side. She then knelt and held Kyoka’s cheeks as her eyes went over her body, making sure she wasn’t hurt. Kyoka was shocked; Demon Snow had never acted on her own without a command, especially not like this. Kyoka heard screaming from outside. She immediately got out of Demon Snow's grasp and rushed outside. Of course, she was careful and had her Wakizaki in hand.
When Kyoka got outside, she was met with a giant demon thing that was as tall as the street lamps. Then she noticed Kenji, fanning over the giant that looked eerily similar to a demon and Kenji on both equal terms.
-”What is happening here…?”
She asked sternly. She didn’t mean to, but it’s just how her voice was. Akutagawa was a similar case. Kenji immediately stopped and looked at Kyoka, a bright smile plastered on his face. The giant turned to sound as well and seemed to light up when it saw Kyoka and Demon Snow.
-”Kyoka-Chan!”
-”Suzu-San!”
Kenji and the giant proclaimed at the same time. Kenji rushing over to Kyoka, grabbing her hands whilst jumping up and down excitedly. The Giant rushed to Demon Snow and scooped her up into a big hug. The difference between the two was wild. Demon Snow stands at around 7’0 “, but the Giant is around 9’11 “ or taller, not to mention he looked like to act semi-trucks for breakfast.
-”Hi! Ok, so, this is Yuki! He’s my ability! Can you believe it!? The city is so amazing!”
Kenji said quickly and excitingly. Kyoka was barely able to make out what he said. She was shocked but kept her composure.
-”I suppose this happened to the both of us, as Demon Snow appeared after a blinding light engulfed me, and she doesn’t seem to need any commands to do anything.”
Kyoka said she calmed Kenji down, stopping him from jumping up and down.
-”Of course Suzu-San doesn’t need instruction! She's an independent Skill who doesn’t need to wait to be told what to do!”
Yuki said loudly as he held Demon Snow, who was being called Suzu, on his shoulder.
-”Suzu? Is that your name?”
Kyoka said calmly yet loudly as she looked up at her ability. Suzu nodded calmly. Kyoka hummed in acknowledgement. She then turned her attention to Kenji.
-”I’m unaware if this happened to you as well, but it seemed like Dazai-Sans’ ability was used on us, despite him being nowhere in sight.”
Kenji focused on Kyoka and her words as he calmed down a little.
-”Ya! That happened to me, and then Yuki appeared after I fell onto the ground!”
Kyoka listened contently. Yuki had sat down, cross legged with Suzu still on his shoulders patting his head as he sat impatiently.
-”We should try and find Dazai-San. Maybe he knows what happened. Maybe the others are going through this, too.”
Kyoka suggested as she grabbed the potted plant and gave it to Kenji. Her shopping for gifts could wait another day.
-”Good plan!”
Kenji said enthusiastically as he took his plant from Kyoka’s hands.
-”Thank you, Kyoka-Chan!”
He said happily to Kyoka, giving a bright big smile to her. Kyoka, embarrassed and not used to this lifestyle, blushed slightly as she looked down.
-”Mhm…”
She said quietly.
-”Alright, let's get going already and find Yoko-San and Dazi-San!”
Yuki said. Standing up eagerly. He was getting impatient, and now that they had a plan, he wanted to get going already. Suzu lightly hit his head, reprimanding him for his behaviour.
-”Right!”
-”Right.”
Both Kenji and Kyoka said as they walked towards the Agency. Their abilities followed them until Yuki and Kenji both simultaneously got an idea. Yuki then had Kyoka on one shoulder, Suzu on the other, and Kenji on his head, using his horns as a way to hold on.
-”Onwards!”
Kenji yelled in a funny accent as he pointed towards the direction of the Agency building.
