Snowscape
In the serene morning with snowflakes gently falling, the pristine snow-covered landscape exuded tranquility. Trees in the distance were blanketed with white snow, resembling being wrapped in silvery fabric, turning the world into a pure white canvas. The scenery outside the window resembled a serene and intricate painting.
Suddenly, a black figure appeared on the snowy ground, moving leisurely. It was a cat with fur as dark as ink, its coat shimmering under the sunlight like a black gem sparkling in the snow. The cat's steps were light and graceful, as if it was enjoying the tranquility of the snow, each step carrying a sense of ease and leisure.
The cat's eyes squinted, seemingly searching for something. It strolled leisurely, every step light and rhythmic, like dancing a graceful dance. Snowflakes drifted around the cat as if softly paving a blanket for it, making its steps even lighter.
Stopping its steps, the cat suddenly lifted its head, elegantly stretching its body. Its pupils focused tightly ahead, seemingly sensing something in the distance. With a gentle breeze brushing by, the cat's ears twitched slightly, as if listening to faint sounds on the snowy ground.
The cat's ears twitched, and its gaze suddenly focused on a vague trace on the snow. Leaping lightly, the cat explored this mysterious trail, its tail gently swaying in the air.
Gradually, the cat approached the trail, its nose lightly brushing the ground, catching a familiar yet unfamiliar scent. Pausing its steps, the cat licked its paw before continuing its exploration. Suddenly, a sparrow appeared before its eyes, and the cat's eyes sparkled with excitement. With its toes poised, the cat prepared to pounce on the sparrow. However, the agile bird swiftly flew away, evading the cat's leap.
Excitedly, the cat chased after the flying sparrow, its tail held high, its furry figure leaping lightly on the snowy ground. Its eyes sparkled with curiosity and excitement, continuously focusing on the rapidly flying bird, as if trying to defy gravity and catch up with the swiftly soaring creature.
Meanwhile, Harry followed the sparrow through the snowy expanse, leaving varying imprints with each step. Snowflakes gently crushed beneath his feet, emitting subtle sounds. The surroundings were serene, with only the sound of wind brushing through branches and the gentle rustle of snowflakes falling, occasionally accompanied by the chirping of birds piercing through the winter's tranquility. Harry's furry ears twitched slightly, his eyes focused on the sparrow ahead, chasing the swiftly flying bird with unwavering attention.
However, Harry suddenly noticed a familiar figure ahead. Halting his pursuit of the sparrow, his furry ears perked up, and his gaze turned towards where Tom was. Excitement and anticipation shone in Harry's emerald cat eyes, his tail swaying slightly, as if preparing for the imminent reunion. Harry briskly walked towards Tom, emitting a soft meow, while a mischievous thought swiftly formed in his mind.
Harry quietly hid behind a large tree, observing Tom's every move intently. His emerald green cat eyes shimmered, his fluffy tail wagging, preparing to give Tom a surprise.
Tom felt as if he heard a cat's meow, and he turned his head, only to find no sight of the expected small figure. Around him were only the snowy ground and distant trees, appearing especially lonely in the silent winter.
Tom's brows furrowed slightly, a hint of puzzlement arising in his mind. However, he soon noticed small footprints on the ground, which slightly altered his expression. Following the direction of the small footprints, Tom spotted a hint of black fur peeking out from behind a tree.
Harry was imagining Tom's surprised expression, secretly amused, yet he ignored Tom's every move. Just as he was about to pounce forward, he found Tom's figure disappeared, leaving Harry puzzled as he tilted his head, scanning the surroundings.
At that moment, Harry suddenly felt himself being lifted up, limbs struggling in vain against the air.
"Gotcha."
Harry's ears trembled slightly, feeling the warmth of the embrace. As he was cuddled into Tom's arms, a familiar scent wafted into his nostrils, akin to the aroma of books and ink lingering in the air. This scent not only brought warmth but also a profound sense of comfort and familiarity.
Harry let out an unwilling meow, only to be met with the other's joyful laughter. The warm palm gently stroked his fur.
Tom's triumphant smile faltered, freezing on his face the next moment. Suddenly, a chilly sensation struck his cheek, causing him to instinctively freeze. He was lightly slapped by Harry's cold cat paw. After running in the snow, Harry's paw was cold and chilly.
Tom suppressed his smile, and Harry thought Tom was angry, but Tom just gently wrapped him tighter in his cloak. Harry poked his head out from the cloak's gap, revealing only a pair of curious eyes and fluffy cat ears, gazing up at Tom.
"You're too cold." Tom complained, yet he hugged Harry even tighter.
Harry felt the warmth of Tom's embrace, gradually melting away the coldness in his body. Perhaps being held tightly by Tom like this wasn't so bad after all. Surrounded by the warmth, Harry let out a lazy meow.
"Still cold?" Tom asked softly.
"Meow."
