Slow day
Remus stuck to his promise and stayed in bed,laying awake until Sirius woke up too.He layed silently,his fingers gently carding through Sirius' hair as he watched him sleep peacefully."you're staring" Sirius mumbled,his eyes still closed."Am not" Remus smiled and Sirius peeled his eyes open."are too" Sirius whispered,looking up at Remus with a smile.
Remus was layed on his back,his head against the pillow as he ran a hand up and down Sirius' bare back.Sirius however was practically layed on top of Remus,his body flush against Remus' side,his head on his chest and one of his legs slotted in between Remus'.
"how long have you been awake?" Sirius asked,drawing gentle patterns on Remus' chest with his finger."Maybe an hour" Remus shrugged slightly,being careful not to jostle Sirius too much.
"look about last night-" "Sirius,you don't need to apologise.I get them too.About the accident...you're not alone and im not going anywhere.Okay?" Remus cut Sirius off,a hand on his cheek,his thumb slowly brushing back and forth soothingly.Sirius didn't say anything,instead he pushed himself up onto his elbow so he now leaned over Remus.
"how are you so perfect?" Sirius whispered,repeating the words they had told eachother before,a gentle hand resting on Remus' jaw.Remus smiled and Sirius brought him into a slow kiss,his hand resting on his jaw as he smiled softly into the kiss.
Remus pulled back but only so their faces were infront of eachother "I haven't brushed my teeth yet" Remus scrunched his face up with a small smile and Sirius dropped his forehead down onto Remus' shoulder.He pulled his head up to look at Remus and smiled,brushing a stray eyelash off of his cheek."i dont care" he smiled and brought himself down into another kiss,the pair simply enjoying eachothers presence.
The morning consisted of slow kisses,sleepy conversations and tangled limbs until the two finally decided to get up out of bed.Sirius handed Remus a black tshirt and some black jogger shorts and grabbed his own clothes from the wardrobe.Sirius showered first,followed by Remus who turned down Sirius' initial "shower with me and it'll be quicker,save water,you know?" Sirius had winked and Remus raised an eyebrow."get in the shower,you prude" Remus joked and Sirius laughed."Okay but i'm leaving the door open in case you get kidnapped" Remus rolled his eyes,a smile on his face as he pushed Sirius into the bathroom.
Remus finished his shower,making his way out of the bathroom,his white towel hung low on his hips as he scrunched his hair out,limping towards the bed."Moony.This is not fair" Sirius whined and Remus turned to look at him,confused."what isn't?" he asked and Sirius smirked."how hot you are" Sirius watched as Remus rolled his eyes fondly,grabbing his clothes he was going to wear.
Once the pair were ready Sirius flopped back down onto his bed."pads we need to go downstairs" Remus laughed softly and Sirius pouted,shaking his head."Come on" Remus walked towards where Sirius stood,bending down to put his hand on the bed beside Sirius' stomach.He bent down to press a kiss to Sirius' pouting lips and stood back up,holding his hand out.
"but if we go downstairs that means we have to have breakfast and that means you have to go home" Sirius complained as the pair walked downstairs,hand in hand."Come on,we've got some time yet" Remus replied,pulling Sirius round into the kitchen.
"morning lovebirds" James chirped from where he sat at the table,a plate of toast infront of him."Morning" the pair replied and began making their own slices of toast before sitting down at the table with James.
James frowned before softly kicking his foot against Sirius' ankle."you okay?" he asked quietly and Sirius sighed but still nodded."another nightmare.Well i think it was a night terror this time" Sirius replied and James placed a hand on his shoulder."why didnt you come and get me?" James asked and Sirius looked at Remus to his side."Remus had it covered" He replied and James smiled."i'm glad your okay,mate" James patted him on the shoulder before going back to his toast.
James looked up and caught Remus' eye,making sure Sirius wasn't paying attention and looked back at Remus."thank you" he mouthed and Remus smiled and nodded before returning to his breakfast.The three sat down,eating and talking,being joined by both effie and monty after a few minutes.
"so Remus,Sirius said you had surgery recently,how are you feeling?" Monty asked and Remus smiled."i feel so much better being able to walk better.I still need a crutch but it's the best i've been since the accident" Remus replied and Monty nodded."well,i'm glad you're doing better.You certainly are a strong boy" Remus smiled and thanked him before he was interrupted by his phone ringing."excuse me" Remus stood up and put his arm in his crutch before moving to the living room and sitting on the sofa.
After a few minutes,Sirius walked into the living room where Remus had disappeared off to and stood in the doorway.Remus looked up from where his head was down,his phone pressed to his ear and smiled at Sirius.Sirius walked over to Remus and flopped down beside Remus,placing a hand on Remus' thigh as he dropped his head down onto his shoulder.
"okay,mum.Yeah,see you soon-" "is your mum picking you up?" Sirius interrupted with a frown and Remus nodded."Yeah she's just getting herself ready now "tell her not to worry,i'll bring you home." Sirius told him and Remus pulled his phone away from his ear."did you hear that mum?" Remus asked "are you sure Sirius,dear? i can come and get him it's no problem" Hope spoke and Sirius smiled,shuffling closer to Remus."I'm sure,I don't mind,plus it saves you leaving the house on a Sunday" Sirius replied and Remus smiled to himself at how Sirius spoke with his mum.
"Thank you,love.I'll see you soon,Feel free to stay a while Sirius.I don't mind at all,in fact i'd love to see you" Hope spoke and Sirius couldn't help but smile.He hadn't seen Hope in a few weeks and to be honest,he missed her."i'll see you soon" Sirius replied and they said their goodbyes before Remus ended the phone,lying back against the back of the Sofa.
"you can drive?" Remus asked and Sirius looked at him with a smile and Remus wasn't sure what it meant."Yeah,of the sorts" he replied and Remus frowned,confusedly.
"i swear she loves you more than me sometimes" Remus laughed,stretching his arm over the back of the sofa,allowing Sirius to sit back."I tend to have that affect on people" Sirius smirked,looking up at Remus."you certainly do" Remus replied,placing a kiss to Sirius' head.
The pair helped clean up from Breakfast and made their way upstairs to grab all of Remus' stuff,which wasn't a lot to be fair but apparently it took three pairs of hands,James grabbing Remus' bag and Sirius 'helping' Remus down the stairs by holding his hand.
"i'll see you again soon,dear.You're always welcome here" Effie beamed as he brought Remus into a hug."Thank you,Mrs Potter" Remus smiled."and you" She turned to Sirius pulling him into a hug."you picked a good one" She whispered and Sirius smiled."the best" he whispered back before placing a kiss to her cheek."Right,i'll be back later" Sirius smiled,but he was soon interrupted by a loud "SIRIUS" making him laugh.
James came sprinting down the stairs and crashing into Sirius,wrapping him in a hug."Ow" Sirius laughed,hugging James back."i'll only be gone a few hours,you prat" Sirius pulled out of the hug and James held a hand to his forehead."how will i last without you?!" He sighed dramatically and Sirius kicked a leg out,kicking James in the shin gently."arse" he laughed and followed Remus out of the house.
"bye moony!" James yelled from the front door."bye james!" Remus yelled back."Bye moony!" James shouted even louder."goodbye James" Sirius cut him off and James chuckled before closing the door.
Remus turned around to see Sirius grabbing a helmet that rested on a black motorbike."i'm not getting on that thing." Remus laughed and Sirius smiled,a mischevious smile as he looked at his boyfriend."you drive a motorcycle?!" Sirius laughed and held onto Remus' hand pulling him closer to the bike."nuh-uh i'm not getting on that" Remus shook his head but Sirius just smiled.
"please" Sirius looked up at Remus,through his eyelashes.Now,Remus must admit,those were the most convincing puppy dog eyes he'd ever seen."No" Remus shook his head once again but Sirius stepped closer,placing his hands on Remus' hips."pleaseeeee" He asked again and Remus looked at Sirius,biting down on his lip."ugh stop looking at me like that" Remus whined and Sirius grinned,handing Remus a helmet.
"please don't kill me" Remus pleaded nervously from where he sat behind Sirius,his arms wrapped tightly around his middle."only if you don't kill me first.I haven't even took my foot off the ground yet,Moony.It is safe to loosen your grip" Sirius laughed gently,placing a hand on Remus' thigh that sat against his own hip.
Remus loosened his grip on Sirius' waist slightly and Sirius chuckled before holding onto the handlebars and setting off down the driveway.Remus had never ridden a motorcycle before.Probably from the fact that he can't even walk yet but nonetheless he'd never even been a passenger on one.
"you good,babe?" Sirius shouted,looking over his shoulder slightly."please,keep your eyes on the road" Remus spoke,his arms still wrapped a little too tightly around Sirius."oh come on,moons.You're having fun right?" Sirius asked,his hand now resting on Remus' thigh again,meaning he was driving with one hand now."I'll have even more fun when we're back on the ground" Remus replied as Sirius turned down his street.
"are you flirting with me,moony? telling me we'll have more fun when i'm not driving?" Sirius pulled up outside Remus' house and took his own helmet off."oh my god! not what i meant!" Remus yelled,his cheeks flushed as Sirius' barking laughter filled the street.Sirius got off the bike and helped Remus off,grabbing the crutch from who knows where,Remus had clearly forgotten about that.
"i hate you" Remus looked at Sirius,with a deadpanned face."you love me and you know it" Sirius smiled that Sirius black smile and Remus knew he was done for.Remus' smile slowly grew as he looked at Sirius."there it is" Sirius smirked and Remus rolled his eyes."just shut up and go inside" Remus laughed and Sirius gasped "eager are we,moons" Sirius smirked once again making Remus roll his eyes."please,shut up.And no sex jokes infront of my mum" Sirius barked a laugh,walking up to the front door and waiting for Remus to go in first.
The pair were each greeted with a hug by Hope who immediately asked if both boys were hungry to which they both laughed."it's alright,mum.We just had breakfast not long ago" Remus smiled and walked further into the house,Sirius following along behind him.
"we're gonna go upstairs mum,alright?" Remus asked and Hope nodded."alright,keep that door open" She raised her eyebrow at Remus who immediately went red,giving her a look before pulling Sirius up the stairs by his wrist.
"don't be embarassed,Moony" Sirius teased as he pinched Remus' side.Remus swatted his hand away,laughing as he stood his crutch up against his bedroom wall.Remus sat himself down on his bed before swinging his legs round and lying down.
"oh,come on Moony.I'm just teasing" Sirius laughed walking over to the bed and kneeling on it,making his way over to Remus."your an arse" Remus laughed as Sirius sat beside him."yeah,maybe" he shrugged before leaning down,bringing Remus into a kiss.
Sirius smiled into the kiss,which then spread to Remus until the two broke apart into soft laughter.Sirius lifted his leg over Remus so he sat,straddling him and layed himself down,flat on his chest,clinging onto him like a koala.
"What-" Remus laughed before wrapping his arms around Sirius,rocking him side to side playfully."Awh my baby" Remus teased and Sirius laughed,his breath fanning against Remus' neck.
Sirius sat up,looking at Remus from where he sat practically on his stomach to avoid his hip."comfy?" Remus asked with a chuckle,his hands on Sirius' hips."mhm.I know just what we can do" Sirius whispered and Remus looked up at him waiting for a response as Sirius leaned down towards him.
"i can beat your arse in Mario Kart" Sirius whispered and Remus burst out laughing soon being joined by Sirius."get off me" Remus laughed and Sirius swung his leg around before walking over and sitting on Remus' desk chair,pushing it to sit infront of the tv.
"where am i meant to sit?" Remus raised an eyebrow but Sirius smiled at him sweetly."i need to sit closer to see better" Sirius smiled and Remus rolled his eyes,grabbing a small glasses case off of his desk."i'm the one who needs glasses but sure,babe" Remus joked and Sirius gasped."Do you have to wear them now?" Sirius asked excitedly and Remus rolled his eyes playfully,opening the glasses case and slipping his glasses onto his face.
The two played a few different games until it became tea time and hope called them down for some food.She had ordered pizza,allowing the pair to take their shared pizza upstairs "just this once" and they ate while scrolling seperately on their phones.
The pair sat beside eachother on the bed,scrolling on their phones,occasionally engaging in conversations or showing eachother videos but just enjoying eachothers company the most.
Once about 8 o'clock came around,Remus put his phone down on his night stand and much to Sirius' dissapointment,took his glasses off before laying beside Sirius,ducking his head under his arm and resting his head down on his chest.
"you okay?" Sirius asked quietly,moving one of his hands from his phone to gently play with Remus' curls."mhm" Remus hummed and Sirius smiled to himself."hip hurting?" Sirius asked,his voice nearly a whisper,earning another hum of agreement from Remus."okay baby" he whispered along with a quiet chuckle as he continued scrolling on his phone,his other hand carding through Remus' hair.
After an hour or so,There was a knock at the door,it was around 9:30 so Sirius wasn't suprised Hope had come upstairs."come in" Sirius called in a low voice,attempting not to wake his sleeping boyfriend.
Hope stepped into Remus' room to see Sirius sat up against the headboard of Remus' bed and Remus layed almost on top of him,fast asleep."how long has he been out?" Hope whispered and Sirius looked at the time on his phone."almost two hours i think" Sirius whispered back and Hope nodded."I think that's probably the quickest he's ever gotten to sleep,usually takes him a while and when he does,he's often woken up" Hope's smile turned sad as she watched her son sleep peacefully,his arms wrapped around Sirius.
"If it's okay with Euphemia and you want to,i'm happy for you to stay over or i can wake him up so you can head home,it's getting pretty late." Hope's voice was soft as she smiled at Sirius."i'll check with Effie and see which she would rather i do" Sirius replied before taking his phone in both of his hands,keeping Remus close to his chest and shot Effie a quick text.
They talked for a few minutes about random topics before Sirius' phone pinged."Effie said if it's okay with you i can stay,she doesn't like me driving my bike as it gets dark" Sirius spoke with a quiet laugh and Hope nodded.
Once Hope had left Sirius gently stroked Remus' cheek with his thumb."Moony" Sirius spoke,his voice low as he brushed his fingers against Remus' face."Moons,you gotta get up and get ready for bed,love" Sirius watched as Remus' eyes fluttered open.
"you're still here?" Remus asked,his voice deep from the sleep."of course,Your Mum and Effie both agreed for me to stay" Remus looked up at Sirius as Sirius brushed a stray curl off of Remus' face."guess you're stuck with me for another night,Lupin" Sirius smirked and Remus smiled sleepily."i guess that's okay,Black" He replied before pushing himself to stand up,followed by Sirius.
Once they were both in pyjamas,Sirius having borrowed a pair of Remus' pyjama bottoms,they both brushed their teeth and finished getting themselves ready for bed,Sirius making his way to Remus' bed first.
Remus joined Sirius,resuming his position from earlier,his head on Sirius' chest as he slowly traced patterns against Sirius' bare stomach."A sleepover for 2 nights in a row? who are we?" Sirius joked and Remus huffed a tired laugh."I know right" Remus sighed and Sirius stroked his hair gently.
"is this what it'll be like when we get married?" Sirius asked and Remus' smile grew as he looked up at Sirius."i hope so" He replied and Sirius nodded,looking up at the ceiling."well when you decide to ask me,i hope you know your stuck with a lifetime of sleepovers" Sirius laughed in a child-like way making Remus laugh.
"i'm not asking! you can ask me though" Remus replied and Sirius sighed dramatically."fineeeeee" Remus laughed,pinching Sirius in the ribs before settling back down.
"i love you,moony" Sirius whispered into the dark bedroom."i love you too,padfoot" Remus replied and Sirius listened carefully as Remus' breath began to even out as he fell slowly asleep,before falling asleep himself,tucked up beside him.
