Strays and Ice cream
Notes: This takes place when Dazai and Blaise are 20 years old, and have taken in Atsushi, Gin, Akutagawa, and Q.

It had been a week since little Atsushi had been taken in by Dazai and Blaise and he's been adjusting great! Of course there were times he was nervous and fidgety but they didn't push him to talk but encouraged him to tell them when he's ready and waited for the day Atsushi was ready to tell them.
It was around 12 p.m and Blaise was teaching Atsushi how to make a simple Fettuccine Alfredo recipe for dinner, although he had made foods before but we're smaller things like eggs, bacon, and baking cupcakes. while Dazai was sitting at the table in the kitchen talking on the phone.
Dazai stood up and walked towards the two.
"Alright, I have to get to work. Fukuzawa Said he has a mission that I'm needed for and that I'll probably be home late."
Blaise turned around and hugged Dazai.
"Alright, be safe and careful."
Blaise gave Dazai a kiss and turned around to finish making the food.
Dazai pat atsushi on the head.
"Make sure to listen to Blaise alright?"
Atsushi nodded in response and gave Dazai a quick hug, returning it with a smile glad Atsushi has started trusting them so much already.
Turning around Dazai grabbed his brown trench coat and made his way to the door unlocking it he opened the door quickly locking it again before he forgets and closed the door on his way out.
Once he got to the building he entered making sure to talk to the old man and to see if he was doing ok.
"Why hello Mr. Uzumaki, how has your day been so far?"
Said old man looked up and smiled.
"Ah, Hello Mr. Dazai, my day has been quite good, thank you for asking."
"That's good to hear."
Dazai sat down on the stool to make some small talk and get himself a glass of water.
"I'll take a glass of water."
The old man smiled and went to grab a glass off of the shelf. As he went to fill the glass up he decided to ask Dazai where he had been for the week.
"If you don't mind me asking Mr. Dazai, where have you been off to this past week? I haven't seen you at all and I worried something may have happened to you." He said while handing the glass of water to Dazai.
Dazai smiled fondly at the memories of the past week. It may have been a bit hectic but he's happy how it turned out.
"Well, don't tell this to the agency members because I plan to when I go up there." Dazai says and gets a nod to continue telling.
"Me and Blaise had gone on a walk a week ago and we ended up finding a sad child, in the woods, alone."
The old man stopped cleaning the dishes and looked towards Dazai, being someone who cares about kids and their well being.
"Is he ok?"
Smiling, Dazai took a drink of his water.
"He is, me and Blaise had decided that we were gonna take him in and raise him as our own." He said, smiling softly and taking another drink of his water.
The old man smiled at this.
"I'm glad the kid is gonna be ok, I'm sure you and Blaise will be great parents and will give the kid a home he can be happy in."
Dazai smiled.
"Would you like to know his name-." Dazai gets cut off before he can finish.
An alarm rings from Dazai's phone telling him it's time to start his meeting with Fukuzawa.
The old man smiles.
"You can introduce him to me and he can tell me his name if he pleases."
Dazai looks at him and smiles.
"Of course." Looking down to his phone he finishes up his water and stands.
"Alright, I'll be sure to introduce you guys first before the agency members." He says with a smile before heading upstairs to the main office.
Walking down the hall he runs into Yosano.
With a smile he greets her.
"Good afternoon Yosano-sensei," he said, smiling at her, putting his hands in his pockets.
"Good afternoon Dazai, where are you going?"
Dazai smiled.
"On my way to meet with the president he said he had a mission for me and that I'll be doing it alone today since kunikida will be busy handling paperwork."
Yosano smiled.
"Ah, I see well alright then make sure to be careful since I can't heal you like the others." She says walking down the hall.
"I will Yosano-sensei, you don't need to be such a worry wart."
Continuing on his way to the office he reaches the door and enters, closing it behind him.
Once he enters, his eyes land on Fukuzawa and Ranpo. walking up to the desk he is handed a file from Fukuzawa.
"This contains the necessary information about the mission I'm sending you on. I would send Kunikida with you but he already has his own tasks."
"We were informed by the government that there will be a shipment for the port mafia in this forest, and we need you to intercept it."
"Not only that, but we were also informed of a group of children that want to try to intercept the group of Port mafia members themselves. For whatever the reason, is unknown, and we do not know the ages either, just that they are young and will be killed if they try."
"The mission will be dangerous. They may be just grunts, but they all have weapons, you may have to use any means necessary."
Dazai takes in the information with a sharp nod he puts his hand on his chest and bows with a smile.
"I'll see to it that this mission is done."
Before Dazai leaves though he has something to tell Fukuzawa.
"Boss."
Fukuzawa looks towards Dazai and nods for him to talk.
"May I speak with you?"
Dazai looks towards Ranpo, he isn't against telling him but he wants the boss to be the first one in the agency who knows besides Mr. Uzumaki already knows.
"Alone."
Fukuzawa looks towards Ranpo and nods for him to go.
Ranpo, already knowing that Dazai will tell him later on whatever it is, nods and leaves, closing the door behind him.
"So, Dazai, what is it you wish to tell me?"
Dazai looks back to Fukuzawa and nods.
"Me and Blaise were taking a walk a week ago and we stumbled upon a little boy who was crying, and alone in a forest."
Fukuzawa nods for him to continue talking.
"He has an ability as well, he can transform into a white tiger. It seems to be a powerful ability, but he cannot control it yet."
Fukuzawa is taking in the information with a nod.
"So, I'm guessing you want to take in the boy and train him?"
Dazai nods.
"Yes, but that's not all, me and Blaise had decided we wanted to take him in and raise him as our own."
Fukuzawa nods, he has no doubt that Blaise and Dazai are capable of taking care of a child.
"I understand, and do know that the child will have full protection of the agency, and of course, I'm willing to lend a hand of support, and I'm sure the rest of the members would gladly help out as well."
Dazai smiles and he's happy that Atsushi will be able to grow up knowing the good people of the agency.
"I greatly appreciate everything you've done for me and Blaise."
Fukuzawa nods.
"Of course"
Dazai nods and turns around.
"I'll be leaving then."
He starts walking to the door and opens it.
Before he leaves he turns his head and looks at Fukuzawa with a devious smile.
"I hope you don't mind babysitting."
With that Dazai leaves.
Fukuzawa is stunned but quickly fixes his surprise with a chuckle he wouldn't mind watching and getting to know the kid.
That reminds him, Dazai never told him the name of the kid, oh well he'll know later.
Dazai starts down the hallway, saying quick hellos, and byes to his other fellow members in the agency, with this new information he has to make a quick stop back home to grab something that will come in handy.
He unlocks the door and walks in announcing his presence so Blaise and Atsushi know it's him.
Walking upstairs to his and Blaise's shared room goes straight to the closet to pull out a black case that was hidden under a small trap door opening the case reveals a Makarov PM pistol, and gun holder, a silencer barrel, and two mags a remnant of his time in the port mafia.
He grabs the pistol and grabs the IWB holster and tightens It around his waist, making sure it's in reach and hidden, grabbing the gun he puts it in making sure the safety is on and it won't fall out, grabbing the two mags along with the silencer barrel he puts them in the slots on the side of the gun in the IWB holster.
As he's doing this he doesn't notice Blaise and Atsushi walk in.
Blaise wraps his arms around Dazai's waist, hugging him from behind and giving a soft kiss on his neck, making Dazai shudder and give a small smile.
Dazai turns around and hugs Blaise back, wrapping his arms around his neck.
"It's gonna be a dangerous mission isn't it?"
Dazai just nods.
"It is, the government asked that the Armed Detective Agency has to intercept a Port Mafia shipment, and that the meeting point for the pick-up will be in a forest, so I'll have cover."
Blaise just hugs him tighter.
"Is it a solo one or is kunikida gonna be joining?"
Dazai shakes his head.
"It's gonna be a solo one, since kunikida is already doing his own mission."
Blaise sighs, worried that Dazai will get hurt or worse.
"Just be careful, alright."
Blaise looks at Dazai and gives him a kiss.
Dazai smiles and kisses back.
"I will, don't worry I won't leave you or Atsushi anytime soon."
Speaking of Atsushi, Dazai feels little hands grab a fistful of his shirt from behind. Turning around he's met with the worried face of Atsushi he lets go of Blaise and kneels down he opens his arms and Atsushi hugs him, they stay like that for a minute with Dazai rubbing circles on his back after Dazai let's go he pats Atsushi on the head.
"I have to go now, make sure to listen to Blaise. I'll be back before you know it."
Nodding Atsushi went to stand by Blaise who was smiling softly at what he saw.
Blaise placed his hand on Atsushi's head.
Dazai walked to Blaise and they shared one last kiss before he had to go.
"I'll be back soon."
Blaise nods.
"Alright, be safe and remember I love you."
Dazai smiles softly.
"I love you too."
And with that he heads back out of the room and downstairs and he opens the front door making sure it's locked then heads outside closing it behind him.
Starting on his journey to a nearby taxi since it would take forever walking there.
Once he gets into a taxi he tells the driver where he needs to go, which is a restaurant close by to his destination.
He exits the taxi paying the driver the needed amount with a 20 dollar tip.
He starts walking to his destination keeping an eye out for anyone suspicious cause you never know especially if it's related to the port mafia.
Once he was close enough to his destination he started walking through the forest area, cutting through a different route that way no one will know he's here.
After walking for 20 minutes he stops behind a tree hearing a commotion Which doesn't sound like talking, more like shouting, like a fight is happening.
Great, he just gets here and something is already going on.
Walking silently he hides behind another tree and looks around to see a clearing and a child that's fighting with the port mafia grunts. The kid seems to be heavily malnourished and sickly, he also seems to have an ability, a strong one at that it seems to transform his coat into a black thread like substance that is incredibly sharp seeing as it can tear through the ground pretty easily although just like Atsushi he doesn't seem to have much control of it.
Dazai makes up his mind pulling out his gun and quickly takes the port mafia members down.
Now in front of the child he has a better look of him seeing his dull eyes full of distrust and determination, he seems to not be too injured probably thanks to his ability since it looks like it could defend him as well as attack for him a useful ability indeed.
He started walking towards the kid to make sure he's ok when the kid used his ability to try and kill Dazai of course failing with No Longer Human doing its job at nullifying the others ability.
The kid looked shocked he's never fought another person with an ability before, especially someone who can just cancel his out.
Dazai sat down on his knees just like he did with Atsushi. He put his hands in the air in surrender, showing he isn't a threat.
The kid looks confused on why he isn't trying to kill him like he did with the other people.
"I won't hurt you kid, I just want to know why you're picking a fight with Port Mafia members."
At these words the kid looked upset and wasn't going to say anything from what it seemed.
Sighing it looks like Dazai looked at the kid thinking of what he could say.
"Ok, let's start off with names."
"My name is Dazai Osamu."
Looking at the kid expecting an answer.
But still the kid refused to answer.
Sighing again.
"Listen, kid, I want to help you but if I don't know why you're here in the first place then how will I be able to do that?"
At the words help the kid locks up and looks at Dazai with distrust but finally says something.
"How do I know you're trustworthy and won't just kill me the second I let my guard down."
Dazai, not surprised by this question, answers quickly with a small smile.
"You have no reason to trust me since we barely met, but I will tell you anything you want to know about me if that helps."
The kid still looks guarded but is willing to comply.
"My name is Ryūnosuke Akutagawa."
Dazai smiles happy they're finally getting somewhere.
"Alright, Akutagawa, what are you doing fighting with the Port Mafia?"
Again, Akutagawa looks down.
"Me and a group of my friends are from the slums and we heard about the transport happening and it's meet-up point being here so we planned on taking whatever it is they were transporting but one of the members must have heard us and next thing we know we were attacked and one other person survived besides me."
Dazai's eyes widened at the answer but it made sense Fukuzawa did mention about children wanting to intercept the transport.
Before Dazai can say something again Akutagawa talks first.
"I only came here to kill these people to avenge my friends as was their dying wish."
That brings some sad memories back to the front of Dazais mind but quickly pushes them back.
"Akutagawa"
At the mention of his name Akutagawa looks back up at Dazai and is surprised to see eyes that are similar to his but Dazais seemed to have been given light again.
"I can give you two options here, one is you can come with me and live with me, my husband, and another kid that seems to be your age who we recently took in, or, I can give you enough money so you can live peacefully."
Akutagawa seems to be thinking this over but has his own questions he wants to ask.
"That other person I mentioned, is my sister will she also be allowed in this deal?"
Dazai smiled patiently.
"Of course."
And finally Akutagawa's last question and one he has been looking for a long time.
"Can you… give me a reason to live?"
Now this throws Dazai back in surprise memories of him looking for his own reason to live but finally finding it in Blaise and now Atsushi being added to the family.
He shakes his head to clear his mind and looks back down at the child with a soft smile.
Dazai stands up and puts his hand out for Akutagawa to take.
I can.
After Dazai had met Akutagawa's sister who's name is Gin they set off for Dazai's house.
They walk out of the forest heading to the same restaurant from earlier.
He ends up hearing the sibling's stomachs grumble at the smell of food so he takes them in to eat.
After getting a table for 3 they sit down Akutagawa and Gin looking around nervously at the new place.
The menus are handed to them by a waitress Akutagawa and Gin wait for permission to grab it.
Dazai, noticing this, quickly shakes his head.
"You guys don't need my permission to look at the menus and order, you know, get as much as you guys want, I want to make sure you guys get a proper meal.
Both kids quickly started looking at the food and got what they wanted, which was a couple of different foods they never had before, they had also got their drinks, which they ordered a pink lemonade for Gin, and a water for Akutagawa.
Dazai just got a crab related food with water.
As soon as they all finished the kids were both stuffed.
The bill ended up being 34,280.58 yen. (Is that correct…..it's supposed to be 226.13 but I had to convert it to yen)
Akutagawa and Gin looked ashamed of how much the cost was but Dazai quickly assured them it's alright.
While the kids were eating Dazai had made a quick call to Fukuzawa to tell him that the mission was a success after a few minutes of talking they hung up.
Standing up Dazai motioned for the other two to follow him as they made their way to the front door and left.
"Ok, before we get to my house I'll explain a few things."
Both kids nod for him to continue.
"So as I said before you guys will be living with me, my husband and another kid we recently took in. My husband's name is Blaise Zabini and the other kid we took in is Atsushi Nakajime."
Dazai looked behind him making sure both of them are keeping up seeing and they are, he continues talking.
"For now you guys are gonna be sleeping on our couches, since we don't have any spare rooms, but, worry not, since we will move to a house with 5 other rooms, 1 for all 3 of you guys and a shared room between me and Blaise."
"I hope you guys won't mind, and I do hope you get along with Atsushi, he's a good but shy kid."
Looking behind him to see if they're both taking the information well.
Both Akutagawa and Gin are of course nervous but they also don't want to seem rude towards the one person who was willing to help them although both have different feelings towards meeting the Atsushi kid and the other adult named Blaise Akutagawa doesn't trust them yet. Sure, Mr. Dazai had told them that they are both good people, but he has to see it to be able to trust them. Gin on the other hand is reluctant to trust them but is willing to believe what Mr. Dazai says.
After Dazai checked on them and finished talking he looked forwards and started walking again.
Sure enough after about 10 more minutes of walking in silence except for the cars and other people that pass by they make it to a nice looking house.
Both Akutagawa and Gin stare in a bit of awe at how nice the house is; they watch as Mr. Dazai walks to the front door and they start walking faster to catch up with him.
Once at the door Dazai gets out his keys and opens the door.
As Dazai walks inside he ushers them in and closes the door behind him locking it he also hangs his coat on the coat rack.
"I'm home!"
Dazai quickly yelled so Blaise and Atsushi knew who entered.
Dazai turns around and kneels so he's eye level with the both of them.
"Alright, would you guys like to take a shower real quick?"
Both Akutagawa and Gin nod.
"Okay, follow me to the kitchen real quick and then I'll take you guys to the restrooms."
Dazai stands back up and makes his way towards the kitchen and both kids follow behind him.
They enter and see both Atsushi and Blaise setting plates for Dinner since they had heard Dazai come home. The food was already made earlier, all they had to do was reheat it and set the table and serve.
Although they didn't expect to see two others with Dazai.
Blaise starts walking towards Dazai and wraps his arms around his waist giving him a welcome home kiss.
"Welcome home, and may I ask who are these little ones you have brought home with you?"
Blaise says while giving the two a quick Glance up and down seeing as they both have some injuries that he will quickly take care of.
"Well while I was on the mission I found them in trouble so I helped them."
He whispers the rest of the information he doesn't want Atsushi to hear unless the other two are comfortable with him knowing it.
Blaise nods understanding the situation.
Blaise sighs and smiles softly towards Dazai.
"Mr Fukuzawa is starting to rub off on you."
All Dazai can do is laugh and accept it as a fact.
"Alright, I'm gonna show them to the showers so they can get clean then we can get them something to eat, after that, it will be time for bed."
Blaise nods and gives Dazai one more kiss before leaving to finish up with reheating the food.
Dazai notices Atsushi looking towards him and the other two.
He pats Atsushi's head and smiles at him.
Dazai turns back around and motions for Akutagawa and Gin to follow him upstairs.
They head upstairs and Dazai takes them to both of the restrooms so they both can take a shower and relax a bit.
"I'll go and get you some clothes that will fit you guys at the store real quick for now just relax."
Both kids nod and go into the separate restrooms.
Dazai starts back downstairs and puts his coat back on. He heads back into the kitchen and walks up to Blaise.
Blaise looks up from where he's standing and heads towards Dazai and wraps his arms around his waist.
"How are the kids?
Dazai looked towards Blaise with a smile.
They're both in the showers right now. I'm heading out to get them a pair of clothes for now and then first thing tomorrow we can go get them some more, same with Atsushi, we need to fill their wardrobes so they can wear what they want.
Blaise nodded and gave Dazai a kiss before letting Dazai go so he could be back sooner.
Dazai walked towards Atsushi asking if he would like to join him.
Atsushi nodded and quickly ran into his room so he could get dressed and grab his jacket.
Once he was done he met up with Dazai at the front door then they were off.
Dazai holding Atsushi's smaller hand in his hand, they walked to the nearest clothes store.
Once they got to the store they quickly went in, grabbed two pairs of jeans and shirts for each and left.
Dazai decided that Atsushi was moving in well and thought it was a good idea to give him some ice cream.
Grabbing Atsushi's little hand again he starts going towards the nearest ice cream shop.
Atsushi was confused that they weren't going straight home.
"Mr. Dazai, where are we going?"
Dazai looks down at Atsushi and looks back in front of him so he doesn't run into anything.
"We're gonna go and get you some ice cream since you've been settling well into living with us and now two more will be."
Atsushi looked up at Dazai and made a nervous smile, since he had never tried ice cream before he's happy he will get the chance now.
Dazai looked towards Atsushi and stopped seeing his face
"Have you ever had ice cream before Atsushi?"
Atsushi looked down and shook his head no.
Dazai smiled warmly at Atsushi and started moving again.
"Let's change that sha'll we?"
Atsushi looked up and saw that they were in front of a ice cream shop
Dazai let go of Atsushi's hand and opened the door letting them both in and closed it behind him.
Atsushi happily followed Dazai inside.
Once in, Dazai took Atsushi to where the guy was standing behind the ice cream. Dazai was talking to the worker while Atsushi was looking at all of the different flavors but a green one caught his eye. The label said Matcha Green tea he decided for his first ice cream he wanted to get that one.
While Atsushi was looking for the ice cream he wanted, Dazai had gotten small containers of ice cream, them being 2 rocky road containers and a cookies and cream container.
"Have you decided on what flavor of ice cream you want Atsushi?"
Atsushi nodded and pointed towards the Matcha Green Tea flavor.
"Did you want a sample of the ice cream to see if you like it?"
Thinking about it for a couple of seconds, Atsushi nodded.
Dazai asked the worker for a Matcha Green Tea flavor.
He came back towards Atsushi and handed him a plastic spoon that had the ice cream on it.
"Here you go tell me if you like it, if not then you can pick a different one to try."
Nodding Atsushi took the plastic spoon and ate the ice cream. Once he had tried the flavor he immediately took a liking to it.
Atsushi gave a nod towards Dazai, smiling brightly.
Dazai nodded back with a soft smile, happy Atsushi had liked the first ice cream he's ever had.
Dazai went back to the worker and asked for another container this time for the matcha Green tea flavor.
Once he was given the container he paid for it and they left. Dazai had also bought some ice cream cones and bought a cone with the ice cream on it so Atsushi could enjoy it while they walked back home.
While walking Dazai made sure to have Atsushi hold his hand in case anything happened so he could protect him.
10 minutes of walking later Dazai decided it was time to talk to Atsushi about Akutagawa and Gin and to explain some things.
Dazai walked towards a bench and sat down with Atsushi.
"Ok, I guess I should explain what's gonna be happening for the next couple of days."
Atsushi nodded a tad bit nervous since he doesn't know the other two yet but is willing to give them a chance if Mr. Dazai and Mr. Blaise wants him to.
Dazai takes this as his que to continue talking.
"Both Akutagawa and Gin are kind of in a similar situation as you, but there's a big difference, and I decided to take them in just as me and Blaise did for you, we will also be moving to a bigger house now, so there's gonna be a bit of packing before we can, I just have to contact a friend so they can find us a bigger house."
Atsushi nodded a bit, taking in as much information as he could.
Dazai smiled softly, understanding that since Atsushi is young he probably won't understand the full concept.
Dazai stood up and ruffled Atsushi's hair while he giggled trying to stop him from messing his hair up.
He held his hand so Atsushi could take it.
Once he started holding his hand again they started walking back home
Once at the door Dazai u locked it and they entered closing the door behind him Dazai made his way to the kitchen with Atsushi.
Putting the ice cream in the freezer so it doesn't melt he walks up to Blaise and gives him a quick hug and a kiss before walking back upstairs to give the clothes to both kids.
He put both of their clothes in separate bags, Akutagawa's clothes in one of the bags, two pairs of baggy pants that are comfortable while sleeping, shirts, socks, underwear, and Shoes that he thinks may be the right size but if not they're going shopping for more anyways tomorrow, Gin's is the same thing basically seeing as he doesn't know neither their size of clothes he based it off of Atsushi's size.
Arriving at the restroom where Akutagawa is in he knocks on the door and tells Akutagawa he's coming in. Opening the door he walks in and closes it behind him.
"I brought you and Gin some clothes that might not be in your guy's sizes since I didn't know what they were. I based them off of Atsushi's."
Akutagawa, who was peaking out of the shower curtain, nodded.
"Thank you Mr. Dazai, I'll be out in a minute or two."
Dazai nodded
"You can be in there for as long as you want."
Akutagawa nodded his head.
"Do you want me to leave Gin's clothes with you or do you want me to take them to her?"
Akutagawa quickly nodded.
"If you don't mind I'll take them to her."
Nodding Dazai put them on the sink counter.
"I'll be going downstairs then, when you guys come down, me and Blaise will get you and Gin something to eat, alright?"
Nodding his head Akutagawa went back behind the curtain to finish washing up.
Dazai opened the bathroom door and closed it behind him as he left back to his room so he could put all of his things away.
Blaise had come in behind him and helped him take all of the things on his gun holster off. Once they finished taking the stuff off they started packing it away into the casing.
Once done Blaise hugs Dazai from behind and starts giving small kisses on Dazai's neck. Dazai shudders at the feeling and turns his head to look Blaise in the eyes, seeing nothing but love in them. Dazai returns the feelings with a kiss to Blaises lips, a long but soft kiss, not heated with lust, but contentment.
"Looks like our little family has grown a little bit more and we have room for the last one as well once we move into the new house."
Dazai smiles at that knowing what Blaise means.
"We should probably start heading downstairs so we can get the food ready."
Blaise nodded, pressing one last kiss to Dazai's lips and they both started walking back downstairs and into the kitchen.
Atsushi was sitting down in the living room watching Pokémon (I had too lmao and Atsushi would totally love either Arcanine or Chien-Pao).
Both Dazai and Blaise started setting the table for all of them and putting bowls of Alfredo Fettuccine since they ended up making a lot since Atsushi really enjoyed cooking.
Now all they had to do was wait for Akutagawa and Gin.
It wasn't very long after they set the table that both Akutagawa and Gin came downstairs Dressed in the new clothes Dazai had gotten them.
He ushered them to seats right by each other since he knows they would likely want to be close to each other for now.
Blaise calls for Atsushi to come into the kitchen since it's time to eat.
He pauses his show and comes into the kitchen sitting by Dazai.
As Atsushi starts happily eating, Dazai notices that Akutagawa and Gin haven't eaten yet.
He smiles softly and is quick to reassure them.
"Don't worry there isn't anything in your guy's food."
Akutagawa looks up towards Dazai and decides to take a bite. He smiles at the taste and eats more Gin. Taking this as a go ahead starts eating hers and her reaction is a big smile from how good it tastes.
Smiling at them he looks towards Blaise to see he has a soft smile as well happy they enjoy his and Atsushi's food.
"Do you guys like it?"
Dazai being Dazai knows they do but wants for Blaise and Atsushi to hear it in words so they can be happy with knowing they did an amazing job making it especially Atsushi since it's one of the biggest things he had ever cooked.
Akutagawa and Gin both look up towards Dazai and smile a bit sheepishly Nodding their heads.
"We both find it really good Mr. Dazai."
Dazai smiles and can see that Atsushi is happy they like it and Blaise smiling fondly towards him knowing full well what Dazai is doing.
"Well we're glad you do, Blaise and Atsushi worked hard on it especially since it was Atsushi's biggest thing he has ever cooked so far. Blaise had told me you worked hard when you were helping him, Atsushi, and it tastes really good."
Atsushi smiles and goes back to eating shy from all the attention and praise.
Blaise is back to eating his food with a fond smile.
After everyone was done eating it was time for bed.
"Atsushi, go brush your teeth and change into your pajamas for bed."
Atsushi nodded and went to do what he was told.
"Let me get you both pillows and blankets so you guys can be comfortable, alright?"
They both nod and stand up with Dazai.
Once Dazai brought two blankets and two pillows out, he started walking towards the couches, both Akutagawa and Gin following close behind.
Once arriving at the couches he put a blanket and pillow on each one.
"Alright if you guys need anything, come to mine and Blaise's room or you can ask Atsushi as well. Mine and Blaise's room is the one closest to the stairs, and Atsushi's is the next after it."
They nod so Dazai pats them both on the head and walks back to the kitchen.
He walks to Blaise and grabs his hand and gives it a quick kiss on the knuckle.
Blaise smiles and returns the gesture with a kiss to his cheek.
"Let's get ready for bed."
Blaise nods and they head upstairs.
Dazai stops in front of Atsushi's room.
I'm gonna see if he needs anything, I'll be in bed soon.
Blaise nods and walks into their shared room.
Dazai knocks on the door telling Atsushi it's him and receiving a "come in" in return.
Opening the and closing it behind him he sees Atsushi sitting on his bed in his pajamas.
"Do you want anything before you go to bed?"
Atsushi shakes his head no with a nervous smile.
Dazai, seeing this, decides to ask again.
"Are you sure Atsushi? It's completely fine to ask for anything you know."
Atsushi thought for a second and mustered up as much courage as he could.
"Can you tuck me in, please?"
Dazai smiles softly glad that Atsushi is getting braver and is settling in great.
"Of course I can."
Dazai walks to the side of Atsushi's bed and ushers him to lay down. He does as told and pulls the blanket over Atsushi and under his chin making sure the blanket is snug around him so he isn't cold but also to where Atsushi would be comfortable.
He ruffles Atsushi's hair and turns around to leave the room.
"Mr. Dazai."
He turns back around to Atsushi nervously fidgeting his fingers.
"Yes, Atsushi?"
Dazai smiles softly looking towards Atsushi.
"Um, could you…."
He taps a finger on his forehead with a red cheeks embarrassed from his question.
Dazai lets out a small chuckle of amusement as he makes his way back to the bed and gives a soft kiss to Atsushi's forehead and pats his head.
He sees a happy smile on Atsushi's face and smiles back.
"Alright it's time for bed."
"Good night, Atsushi."
"Good night, Mr. Dazai"
Dazai opens the door and closes it behind him. Making his way to his and Blaise's door he opens it and closes it behind him leaving it unlocked in case anything happens or if the kids need something.
He sees Blaise laying down on the bed smiling softly at him.
He smiles back and makes his way to their shared bed.
Blaise is still smiling but opens his arms for Dazai to lay down.
Dazai crawls under the blanket and into Blaise's arms with his chin on top of Dazai's head.
Blaise presses a soft kiss onto Dazais forehead, enjoying the light blush that crosses Dazais face whenever he does it. Blushing Dazai returns the gesture with his own kiss on Blaise's lips.
They both stare into each other's eyes and share one last kiss before returning to their previous position with Dazai's head under Blaise's chin.
"Good night, Blaise."
"Good night, Dazai."
