Hallucinations and Exaltations (Part II) - The Madman and The Nerd
After a half an hour, the drugs finally set in.
More than a little wasted by this point, they decided to have a little party.
Yaoyorozu and Jack were singing and dancing a little ways away, the stereo in Alvin’s office blasting an 80’s song.
As for the others: the lip-syncing Aria was drawing a flock of birds up Mercury’s left arm in permanent marker, the utterly stoned Yuffie and Gary were holding hands and dancing, while Alice (who was sitting cross-legged) downed what was left of the whiskey, and Flash and Luna were… Wait, were they making out?!
Damn, I guess Saturday Detention really does change people.

Jack: You were working
As a waitress in a cocktail bar
When I met you.
Slinging an arm around Yaoyorozu, he continued,
Jack: I picked you out
I shook you up
And turned you around
Turned you into someone new.
Pausing, the older girl gave him a look and flipped him the bird.
Jack: Now five years later on
You've got the world at your feet
Success has been so easy for you.
But don't forget it's me
Who put you where you are now
And, I can put you back down too.
Getting on his knees, Jack asked her,
Jack: Don't, don't you want me?
You know I can't believe it
When I hear that you won't see me.
As he slid closer, Yaoyorozu had to bite back the urge to laugh.
Jack: Don't, don't you want me?
You know I don't believe it
When you say that you don't need me.
Shaking her head, Yaoyorozu lifted him up, both singing,
Both: It's much too late to find
You think you've changed your mind.
You'd better change it back
Or we will both be sorry.
To which they jumped up and spun around wildly.
Both: Don't you want me, baby?
Don't you want me, ohh!
Don't you want me, baby?
Don't you want me, ohh!
Yaoyorozu grinned and shook her hair loose from its ponytail as the others cheered her on, the semi-lucid Alice mumbling “Proud of you!”
Momo: I was working as
A waitress in a cocktail bar
That much is true.
But even then I knew
I'd find a much better place
Either with or without you.
Jack scoffed and rolled his eyes at that.
Momo: The five years we have had
Have been such good times.
Pinching his cheeks, she cooed,
Momo: I still love you.
Then pushed him away.
Momo: But, now I think it's time
I lived my life on my own.
I guess it's just what I must do.
Both sharing a smirk, they leaned in and sang,
Jack: Don't!
Momo: Don't!
Jack: Don't you want me?
Momo: Don't you want me?
Jack: You know I can't believe it,
Both: When I hear that you won't see me.
Jack: Don't!
Momo: Don't!
Jack: Don't you want me?
Momo: Don't you want me?
Jack: You know I don't believe it,
Both: When you say that you don't need me.
Standing back to back, they sang,
Both: It's much too late to find
You think you've changed your mind.
You'd better change it back
Or we will both be sorry.
To which they grabbed each others hands and spun around, before breaking away and dancing maniacally.
Both: Don't you want me, baby?
Don't you want me, ohh!
Don't you want me, baby?
Don't you want me, ohh!
While this was going on, Yuffie and Gary had toppled over and onto each other before landing gracelessly onto the floor.
Both paused, before laughing at the absurdity of their current situation.
Both: Don't you want me, baby?
Don't you want me, ohh!
Don't you want me, baby? (Momo: Baby!)
Don't you want me, oh-ohh!
Don't you want me, baby? (Jack: Baby!)
Don't you want me, oh!
Don't you want me, baby? (Jack: O-oh!)
Don't you want me, oh!
At the end, the madman and the nerd struck a pose, saying,
Both: Don't you want me, baby?!
