Note
Hello! Welcome to my garden of stories. I have a lot of this story pretty well written ahead of time. I have my cowriter Froog with me and they help me with it. We have a lot of this going to make it easier to update but we will still work on getting it written to stay ahead of the game.

Draco starts training

A couples weeks ago Alethea had been working on getting to know Draco as a person and not as what he showed everyone. When getting to know him she realized he’s just a young boy that wants his father to be proud of him. So she has decided to show him there is more to life then that but in order to do that she needed to work on how he talks to others.

While Alethea was working with Draco, Arthur was working to get closer to his god-brother Harry Potter. His goal was to get Harry to be more confident and to be more sure of himself, and to also know he isn’t alone, there are people out there who loves him and cares for him. So during these week Alethea hung out with Draco, while Arthur was with Harry.

Alethea would gently nudge Draco when she was with him to tell him to speak nicer.
While in the common room, she sat across from Draco in a side area “You can be sure of yourself while still being polite. However you cannot be rude to people, such as using slurs or insulting their families, that’s how blood feuds happen.”

Draco pouted while he huffed out, “Then how would you ‘normally’ go around doing that?”

Alethea smiled softly at Draco, “For one use their names, either their first or last name, without malice, however don’t use their first name unless they give you permission. It doesn’t do well to have people think that you aren’t raised with respect. Do not go about calling people slurs even if you don’t agree with them and do not call their family or friends names. Be sure to keep an even tone or even a warm or friendly tone and even if they’re not around do not insult them or anything as it may somehow get back to them. You can also smile rather then smirk.” Draco just rolls his eyes but continues to pay attention to Alethea.

She took a deep breath before continuing, “You don’t have to be overtly friendly or acting like a stereotypical hufflepuff but you can be nice. It’s good to be happy or friendly as it makes people more trusting of you, just like I do.”

Draco took a deep breath and nodded before trying to smile. It came out a little closer to a grimace. “Being nice can get you farther because it can get people to trust you more easily. That helps because they’re more willing to help you if you ask. You can be formal while still being on the nicer side. If you’re arrogant, less people are willing to help or they will only help for a good amount of galleons. Another good idea is to be able to spin ideas in their head that they think are theirs. You can also use your charms to your advantage but that would probably work better for you in a few years.”

“Would being nice help me be friends… with say… Pottah?” Draco saying looking to the side with a light blush on his cheeks.

Alethea smiles softly before nodding, “I think a major thing that would help you be friends with Potter would be apologizing. You insulted the first person you saw talking with him. If you were in his shoes, and you were talking to someone and someone came up to you introduced themselves but five seconds later insulted the person you were talking to… would you be eager to be their friend?”

“But it was a Weasel and a Mud-” Draco started to say but Alethea gave him a dark glare before he could finish speaking.

Alethea gives a sharp grin and pats Draco on the cheek. “Good boy. We don’t use that word. Plus you’re one to talk ferret.”

“You have to at least be cordial to peoples’ friends.” Alethea spotted Flint entering the common room, “Want to see how I work my magic?” Draco nods his head while looking at her suspiciously

Alethea smiles softly before clearing her throat and standing to walk to Flint. “Hey, Marcus. I know we have a quidditch game coming up against Hufflepuff…” Alethea frowns and tears gather lightly in her eyes, “Last time Arthur and I were in Hogsmeade… Lee was so mean to us… I would love it if you could teach him a lesson at the game?” Alethea smiles and looks up to Flint through her lashes.

Flint gets an evil look in his eyes, “I understand…”

Alethea smiles and clasps her hands together bouncing lightly, “Thank you so much Marcus! I’ll be cheering for you at the game.” Alethea lightly places a hand on his arm before turning away.

Alethea shashays back to Draco and sits next to him before turning, “See?”

Draco looks at her with wide eyes, “How did you do that?”

Alethea smirks, “Well that wasn’t me fully…part of that was Arthur.”

“What do you mean part of that is Arthur?” Draco says getting up and sitting in front of Alethea.

“Haven’t you noticed some of the older years are a little protective of Arthur? It’s because he stands up for us. Especially against Mcgonagoll, she’s a bit biased to Gryffindor.” Draco looked surprised at her, someone standing up to people for the Sytherins? That’s so unheard of, but seeing how Arthur is with everyone it's not fully surprising. “That’s it for now, If you ever have any questions you can call for me or if you can’t find me for some reason you can call for Gil or I’ll let you call for Poppi as well but try to only call for Poppi if you’re alone.” Alethea says getting up from her seat, “We can finish the lessons later.” With that both Alethea and Draco go off to their dorm rooms.
