It was all a big mistake
It’s been two days since they were all at HogsMeade. Arthur has been curious and confused these past two days. The reason being is that Alethea and the twins have been hiding something from him. As lunch time rolled around Alethea made a beeline to Arthur to bring him to the Gryffindor table. She lightly smirked as she saw some other girls whispering and throwing a glare in Lee’s direction. Whenever they glanced in their direction, she made sure to look extremely morose. After watching a few of the girls moving about whispering and glaring at Lee, Alethea smirked wickedly, she was quick to hide it behind her tea cup.
(Following conversation is all in German. I will say in the story when they stopped talking in German)
“What is going on Thea…And the truth please.” Arthur said in German knowing she wouldn't tell him unless they were speaking a different language .
Alethea giggled and responded softly in German, “I might’ve spread around to the girls that Lee just wouldn’t leave my friend alone even after we constantly said no and to leave us alone and I was afraid he was gonna do something bad.” Alethea was sure to add tears towards the end before giggling. She watched as a female hufflepuff went to Cedric Diggory and whispered something to him before he looked mad and shot a glare in Lee’s direction. She laughed quietly before muttering in German, “he looks like he’s gonna be in pain during practice. If he goes after you while I’m around and we’re alone I’m not holding back.”
“Oh gods please tell me Ced doesn’t know this…” Arthur said facepalming .
Alethea giggled, “he just found out via a girl telling him and he looks mad.” She sung out the end quietly.
Arthur sighed “You do know he’s going to go all overprotective on me and NEVER leave my side for a couple of days now right?”
“Lee will leave you alone for a couple days and nurse his wounded pride before jumping back.” She took a sip of her lavender tea. She rolled her eyes and smiled, “I’ll explain to Ceddy if you want”
“No, no it’s fine. It’s not like you lied or anything. Besides I was going to go tell him that Lee bruised my shoulder anyways.” Arthur said, looking towards Cedric and the others at his house's table.
Alethea swallowed a growl while she glared hard at her tea. “I didn’t know he hurt you that bad. That insect has it coming.” She took a few deep breaths to stop her accent coming out more than what was acceptable while speaking in German. “He’s going to hurt.” She mutters about talking to Flint. She shakes her head, and switches to English. “So how are you feeling? You looked upset earlier Arty?”
“I was worried about you since you were being secretive recently but now I know why… but the twins have also been acting weird around me too so yeah…” Arthur said in German but changed to English when talking about the twins since they weren’t there.
Alethea hummed, “They’re probably planning a prank knowing them.” She stood up and stretched after finishing her plate. She quickly scribbled a note with a smile and placed it on the table. The note popped away and was replaced by a small plate with three fresh German chocolate cookies on it. Alethea grinned and picked them up, handing one to Arthur. “I have a free period after lunch, so I’m going to go to the library and study. I might meet up with Flint to talk to him and help him study. That boy’s struggling in transfiguration. I told him that I would help.”
“Go on ahead. I told Hermione I would help her and the boys with their studies by the lake.” Arthur said nodding towards the golden trio not that far from them.
Alethea smiled and grabbed her bag, Gil poked his nose from her hair and nodded his head at Arthur with a soft hiss. “Gilly says bye-bye and find out what they thought about the books I found for them. I thought it could help Harry and Hermione.”
After finishing the bit of food he had Arthur replied “Yeah I’ll ask them for you. See you later Thea and bye bye Gil.”
~Alethea POV~
When I left Arthur at the Great Hall I was wondering if I should send Gil to watch over him or not. I decided not to just in case I need to use Gil to get Arthur if Flint starts to irritate me. As I start to get closer I start to wonder why Flint asked me to help him study. We’re not really close and Transfiguration isn’t really my favorite class either. I prefer Potions, Herbology, or Magic Beast over it any day. Though that’s only because both Arthur and I love those classes.
Once I made it into the Library I started to look around for Flint. While looking around I see in the back corner a young boy. He had black short hair, dark eyes, and somewhat crooked teeth. Yep, that was Flint alright, gods I hope he doesn’t try something this time. “Hello Flint.” I said coldly. Unlike with my friends and loved ones I am always cold and ‘heartless’ towards my peers. But I guess that’s only the Slytherin in me.
“Oh, Hello Thea~.” Flint said with a stupid smirk. Gods I hate it when others call me that, that aren’t Arthur and my loved ones.
“Don’t call me that or I will hex you.” I threatened pointing my wand at his head.
Flint smirked more and shook his head. “You know you can’t.”
I rolled my eyes and frowned. “What ever let’s get this done. Are you wanting help on the homework?”
Flint nodded his head and pulled out his parchment and quill. We work until the bell tolled to signal dinner. As we cleaned up our parchment and quills, he paused “How about I take you to hogsmeade next weekend as a thank you.”
I sighed heavy, “No. Flint, I do not want to go to Hogsmeade with you.”
Flint’s smirk barely moved, “I wasn’t asking you Thea~ I was telling you.”
I frowned more heavily, “No. Flint.”
Gil moved quietly down to the floor as I went to respond.
Flint went to move closer and reached a hand out to touch me. When a loud “What do you think you are doing maggot?” came from across the room. Both Flint and I turned our heads towards the door to see a sight that I hasn’t seen in years… A pissed off Arthur was coming towards us. Now Arthur isn’t someone to anger easily at all. It takes a shit ton to make that boy ANGRY, and he was definitely angry.
Sadly unlike normal mortals, Flint doesn’t know when to back off especially when it's obvious that he shouldn't try anything or push Arthur when he is like this. “This has nothing to do with you faggot.” Flint sneered at Arthur, still trying to put his hands on me.
Before anyone could blink Flint was sent against a wall. “I don’t think I heard you right maggot. What did you just say?” Arthur said in a deadly tone with his wand out and pointed towards Flint. By this time, I think that pea brain of his finally worked for once because Flint just quickly apologized to Arthur and scurried away back to whatever crack he crawled out from. (Yes I'm treating him like a cockroach because I don't like him-Froog)
Once he left I dropped my cold appearance and with into a mother-hen mood because my baby boy is never like this unless something truly terrible happened. “Bubba what’s wrong” I cooed towards Arthur trying to calm him down.
Once he took a couple of breaths he broke down sobbing. All I could hear between the sobbing gibberish he was saying is that the twins did something terrible to him as a ‘prank’. Oh boy are they going to get it once I calm down Arthur enough to get the full story from him.
~Arthur’s Pov After Alethea left the Great Hall~
I quickly finished off my food before heading to meet with Harry, Hermoine and Ron. They needed some help with their potions homework since besides Hermoine, no one really understood it. When I was getting close I decided to make sure I had my old notes from when I was in the same year they were in now and my potions books. Once I saw I had all of it I continued my journey to the lake. It didn’t take too long since I knew a shortcut there from always going there for some peace.
When the lake was in view next to it in the shade of a big tree I saw the two brunettes and one redhead with books and scrolls all around them. “Hey guys!” I yelled at the trio that was underneath the tree making them turn their heads towards me.
Once I got to them, I set everything down and sat behind it. “Alright, so I brought my old notes from first year as well as my books. I have the one that you guys have and some explainer type texts. I brought the books because Thea and I liked to put notes in the books helping to explain or adding in substitutes.”
“Wow mate you really came prepared.” said Ron who was just staring at all of it with Harry, while Hermoine was already looking through it all.
“Yeah, Thea really loves potions and since we tend to share our interests with each other all the time...” I trailed off while I tried to organize the notes I brought for them.
“Thea also is in Slytherin as you know and with her liking potions so much, Professor Snape actually does help her when she doesn’t understand something and helps her with how to make the potions more potent or with what substitutes will help with peoples’ allergies.” I said as I continued and grabbed one of the potion ingredients books.
After studying for a good thirty minutes I started to hear someone call my name. When I looked towards the dock I could see Fred and George waving me over. So I looked at Hermione, Ron and Harry and smiled lightly, “I’ll be right back guys, Fred and George are calling me.”
Once I sets down my book I started to head over to the twins before looking back at the trio saying, “go ahead and keep looking through my books as you need.” As much as I didn’t want to go on the dock it didn’t look like the twins were going to move to meet me halfway. So I took a deep breath to calm my nerves and walked on to the dock towards the twins.
I stopped in front of the twins making sure that I was a good distance from the edges of the dock before saying, “what’s up?”
~Third person Pov~

The twins didn’t say anything at first but instead gave each other a mischievous smirk. “Well you see…” started Fred turning towards his twin brother who continued “We heard you ‘love’ the water so…” George stopped letting Fred cut in “We thought why not let you have a ‘closer’ look at it.” When Fred finished he and George ‘tripped’ over air pushing Arthur right in to the Black Lake.
While the twins were too busy laughing their asses off about what happened they didn’t notice Arthur wasn’t swimming back up to the surface of the lake. Instead there was two more splashes and Hermoine screaming at them and Ron running over to the dock where they were at. Once they calmed their laugh they started to notice the panic on their younger brother’s and Hermione’s face before noticing Harry wasn’t by either of them.
“Hey where’s Harry, Ron?” questioned Fred towards his frantic brother.
“You assholes!” yelled Ron who looked like he was ready to beat the shit out of them.
“Woah, calm down Ron-” George started but was cut off by his younger brother.
“Calm down!? How in bloody hell am I supposed to ‘calm down’! You just pushed someone who is terrified of deep bodies of water and can’t swim into a fucking lake!” Ron yelled, punching both of his brothers.
While Ron was yelling at them Harry came out of the water with one of Arthur's arms around his shoulder while Draco had the other one around his. You see when the trio saw Arthur get pushed into the water Ron yelled “Fuck Arthur can’t swim!” which caused Harry, Hermione and Draco, who was just walking by them, to panic. This led both Draco and Harry to strip from their robes and place their wands on the floor before jumping into the lake to get to Arthur before it was too late.
Once they were out of the water and by Hermoine, she started to dry off Arthur using her magic and trying to get him to speak. While the other two males dried themselves off and then went over to Ron to help yell at the twins too. “Arthur please say something you’re shaking so badly right now.” Hermoine said trying to get the older male to say something, but he didn’t say anything at all. Once he was dried he ran away not looking back at the many voices that were calling after him. The only thing in his mind right now was that he had to get away from there and to Alethea, his safe place.
