in another universe reg goes to buy one when he’s out bc it’s 28°c and just so happens to reach for one at the same time a curly haired boy reaches for the last one; in another universe their hands briefly touched and they looked up, when their eyes met they recognised each other as if the knew each other in another universe;
in another universe they buy a multipack and go to the park, lie on a picnic blanket and talk and enjoy the seemingly strangers company, one fusses over the pale boy, insisting they go find a spot in the shade so he doesn’t burn, eventually they settle on a spot half in the shade and half in the sun as the pale boy worried about ruining the others fun, it didn’t matter though, bc the other boy was warm enough, and the pale boy had found his sun
