Of Parchment and Poetry
Summary
As a general rule, Regulus Black does not ‘do’ emotions. He decided a long time ago that they weren’t for him; no thank you, not at all.So, when Pandora gifts him what she likes to call "feelings parchment", he is fully prepared to set the thing on fire and blame Barty. But somehow, instead of turning it into ashes, he finds himself filling it up with some Good Old-Fashioned Sad Boy Poetry™️.Or, I’ve seen far too many head cannons about Regulus being a sad boy poet but no actual fics, so I've decided to be the change I wish to see in the world and write a few of my own.

tranquillity of a breeze

Pandora, free and full of life,

How vibrant and true is she,

A gust of wind, a breath of air,

A fleeting breeze through golden fields,

Graceful and at ease,

Ever-changing yet always steadfast.

I watch her dance to the rhythm of the trees,

To songs known to none but she.

Oh, untamed spirit, forever wild,

Stood with poise, more galant than me,

Balancing on unknown cliffs,

Unafraid to fall into uncertainty below.

Her laughter rings, a sweet bird’s song,

Echoes across the meadows,

A beacon, even on cloudy days,

Guiding me through darkness.

In these moments,

Life’s beauty is revealed to me.

Though I cannot follow her,

I am grateful for her proximity,

Warmed, however briefly, by her smile,

I relish in the freedom of the breeze,

And for once, I dare to dream

Of a life beyond the one I see.
