Cody wasn’t sure what he was doing here but he did know that a child left in a war zone wasn’t good. Whether he was brought here by some jetti osik or chance he knew that he was going to do right by that ad and if that meant adopting them as a foundling or repatriating them to their family then that's what he was going to do.
Moving towards the house it became increasingly clear that he was dealing with jetti osik rather than anything else, at least that’s what he assumed based on the complete lack or any sort of injury on the bodies of the ad’sbuir. But he eventually made his way upstairs into the bedroom where the screaming was coming from. The most disturbing thing was the pile of black cloth before the ad’ika’s cot, on top of which lay a white engraved stick. Cody poked the pile with the muzzle of his blaster for any movement before he holstered it and turned toward the ad who had thankfully stopped screaming and was not regarding Cody with those big green tooka eyes that all ade knew. The next most concerning thing to Cody was the blue cube that the ad was teething on because if he didn’t know better, and believe him he did, then that was a jetti holocron, a fairly old one by the looks of it.
Holstering his weapon, Cody scooped the ad up, making sure that he gathered them up in their black blankets before glancing around the room. There was a changing table set up with a bag next to it, crossing over to it proved that there were more supplies under the table. It probably ended up taking longer than Cody wanted it to but he eventually packed the deceptively small bag with all of the supplies he could, clothes, nappies, formula and several blankets before he turned to leave though he heard a voice ‘Take the wand…’ the voice was haunting and Cody certainly had no clue what a wand was but taking a guess he scooped up the white stick from the black cloth as well as the two brown ones from the corpse of the ad’s parent, making another stop to collect the other from the other parent. There was a sense of right after he had collected them. It was almost unexplainable other than it reminded him of his General’s description of the will of the force, at least it had before he was shot off a cliff on his orders.
Shaking his head Cody pulled himself out of the memory before making his way towards the forest on the edge of the settlement, he could lay low here for a while, make sure that the kid was ok, and work out what the hell a holocron was doing in what he believed was the unknown regions.
