Family And Mates
Severus watched as his son, Castor, spun around with a happy laugh. Castor was just given a velvet, black, ankle-length, A-line dress with long sleeves. Both son's had shown interest in wearing more feminine clothing. Which, for their creature, was not surprising as most submissive veela no matter their gender would be more feminine in nature.
"Mama."
Severus smiled softly as he looked to his other son, Pollux. His dark brown eyes were nervously looking around and avoiding looking at him. It hurt Severus to know his son's feared him so much. Yet he kept calm as he knew Dumbledore would pay. As well as anyone who had anything to do with the kidnapping of his son's.
"Yes, Pollux?" Severus kept his tone soft and gentle.
"Can...can I write to Remus and Sirius?...I I don't think they had anything to do with it...call it a gut feeling..."
Severus sighed softly. "Let me talk with your Papa. However, if this truly is a gut feeling it may be your magic telling you so."
The smile he received was blinding. He smiled gently in return and walked over to his son. His hand rested on his shoulder with care. He placed a soft kiss to his forehead.
"I cannot promise he will say yes. However, I promise he will at least think on it. He won't shut it down immediately."
"Do you trust this feeling?"
Pollux was in his Papa's office with his Mama. It was a small office with the wall behind his Papa was simply a large bookshelf. The other walls were dark green in color and the wood was dark oak. He smiled softly as he saw the pictures on his Papa's desk. The first was his Papa and Mama on their bonding day. The second, however, was his Mama holding him and his brother after their birth.
"I do, Papa."
He watched as his Papa sat for a few moments. That was all it was, a few moments. Yet, for Pollux it felt like hours.
Pollux had to admit to himself that part of it was that he wanted Sirius and Remus still in his life. Something he was scared to admit but it was always the small details that, after his life with the muggles, he felt the small bits mattered most.
For an example, he noticed that Sirius wanted to stay after the hell of the last task. In fact, he was fully prepared to stay as Padfoot. It was the dangerous glint in Albus Dumbledores eyes that made Sirius leave. Something Pollux noticed, but wisely kept quiet on.
Another, would be the body language Remus showed when packing to leave in his third year. The he practically curved into himself almost as though he truly felt without a choice. That it was best to leave. Despite wanting to stay for Pollux.
"I will allow you and your Mama to sneak to Order Headquarters to bring them back here. Just be careful, don't get caught."
Severus smiled softly as his son hugged the two men tightly. They had met them in muggle London under the pretense of Severus talking to Petunia to get him away for the day. Pollux was simply glad it worked out.
"Oh pup, I am so sorry for-"
"Sirius, it's okay." Pollux interrupts quickly. "I saw the look. I know you had absolutely no choice. Nor did you Remus. But I need you both to listen closely and keep an open mind. Can you promise me?"
"I promise pup."
Severus was unsurprised at Sirius's lack of hesitation. If there was one thing he would never deny, it's the Sirius truly loved and cared for Pollux, no matter who he thought Pollux was. He watched as Remus nodded with a small smile.
He truly hoped this went well.
"Wait, let me make sure I am understanding this correctly." Remus said softly with an emotionless mask on his face. "Dumbledore, James, and Lily stole you from your parents, your name is actually Pollux, you have a brother Castor who was stolen by Dumbledore, Frank, and Alice, your parents are Severus Snape and the Dark Lord, and your mate is Draco Malfoy. Did I get that all right?"
"Pretty much, yes..."
Severus approached and put his arm around his sons shoulders. His eyes piercing the two men as he laid a kiss to his son's hair, as well as dropping the "Harry Potter" glamours. Letting them see Pollux Slytherin, not Harry Potter.
"What is the best way we can help? Don't look at me like that Moony. Legally or not that is my godson. I do not care if his bearer in none other than Severus Bloody Snape. That boy is my heir as well. I will not do him the disservice of abandoning him. He is like a nephew to me and I will treat him as such. If that means I must switch sides in the war and be loyal to him than so be it."
The young wizard stared in shock before hugging his honorary godfather tightly. His eyes watering in happiness. His joyous laugh contagious. "Thank you." He had repeated happily.
"Of course." Sirius hugged back tightly before looking at Severus. "Again, how can we help?"
"I'll talk to Marvolo. Ultimately I believe you would both be better as spies. Albus trusts that you both do not know the truth and still despise your dark natures. We can use that." Severus stated calmly.
"Sounds like a plan. Write to us soon, cub." Remus said smiling softly. "Let us know what he decides."
Once the two men left Severus looked at his son who held a soft smile. "Ready to meet Draco?"
"Severus, it is good to see you!" Lucius exclaimed hugging him.
Pollux and Castor were in shock to say the least. They were not used to seeing so many Slytherins act so open. They watched as Lucius Malfoy greeted their Mother much like Ron used to greet Pollux. They watched as Narcissa Malfoy greeted Maria Zabini the way Hermione and Ginny greeted each other. The only bit that made them finally look away were the stares of their mates, Draco Malfoy and Blaize Zabini.
