Castles Crumbling
Summary
A series of Wolfstar one-shots all in the same universe going through school, all the way through death. Sort of canon compliment in regard to the Potter’s death and such.Requests are encouraged, even if it's just a snippet, I can work off of it. Tags will be updated and/or along the lines of what the requests can be.
Note
Hi! This is my first official fic I am really going to try to update. Request short stories and such, they all build onto my own little wolfstar universe. Can go backwards or forwards! This is based off of something I saw on tiktok. Nice constructive criticism is encouraged! I haven't written in a while, so it's most definitely a little sloppy.

1975 - Fifth Year

Rain poured down outside, and so every student at Hogwarts was inside today. The teachers and prefects, as per usual, were on watch for any mischievous acts. For some reason, when the kids were all locked in the large castle, they caused much more ruckus than they would outside with the unrestricted space.

The marauders were, of course, just giddy being inside. Remus was content in the library since he got to study with the sounds of rain outside, Sirius was with James setting up dung bombs outside of the Slytherin common rooms (with Remus’ credit since he found a spell to time it), and Peter was in their dorm room sulking after another fight with his girlfriend.

The boys tried to rope Remus into their fun, but he really needed to get his Defense Against Dark Arts essay done.

After the prank was successfully set up— minus the accidental dung bomb blow-up— Sirius and James scurried up to the Gryffindor common room. Inside, most of the students in the house were playing, talking, or studying. Only a select few were alone in a corner or a chair with a good book.

The pair make their way upstairs, laughing and talking the whole way up.

Sirius opened the door. “They’re going to miss out on dinner tonight.” He grinned, walking right into his bed that still wasn’t made. Remus insisted he do it before he slept, that it was so much more comfortable. Sirius would never do it. This was simply another minor rebellion against the way he was raised to be a Black. He jumped right onto it, crossing his arms behind his head and collapsing into his pillow.

“Your brother’s going to get you back while you’re asleep,” James snickered. “Again,” Peter quipped in.

“I’ll never forget the time I woke up with neon pink hair. I still don't know how he got in,” Sirius eyed up James suspiciously. Peter rolled his eyes at that, putting away the papers he had out.

“Do you think me and Dezzie will get out of this argument?” He sighed right back into his sulking. Sirius ignored him, but James, being the man he was, answered.

“Just gotta wait it out, Pete. You know better than arguing with her at this point.”

Peter responded with a huff. This was their fifth argument, and Sirius was sick and tired of it. With James’ continuous pining over Lily and Remus and that one kid in the year below them (Remus hadn’t actually said anything was going on. As far as Sirius knew, he was straight. That shouldn’t even matter to him. Sirius didn't like guys like that.). He thought of something to change the topic.

“Oh!” He exclaimed, suddenly sitting up. His arms extended behind him, which he used to keep himself propped up.

James and Peter both stared at him, waiting for him to speak. “I overheard someone saying the other day, that one out of four people are always gay.” He snorted, feeling proud of himself for sharing it. “So? Who do we think it is out o’ us?”

“Who?” James gaped. The marauders were usually random, but not that random. Sirius ignored this.

Sirius watched Peter’s eyes drag behind him, and he felt the overwhelming urge to tell him to shut up. James just stared at him, confused.

Then, Sirius spoke again, looking behind himself at Remus’ bed as well. “I kinda of hope it’s Remus. He’s a handsome bloke.” He gazed at his bed for a second.

Then, he looked over to the other two. “I-“ Peter started, but James shook his head. “Let him figure it out.”

Sirius stared at the two for a moment, eyebrows furrowing. It took 10 seconds before realization came crashing down on him.

Sirius's eyes widened, and then he gasped, “Oh!” He sat up completely, cheeks reddening. “No, I’m- That was my bad, I just-“

The dorm room door creaked open, and in came Remus. Sirius’ face turned even redder.

James promptly burst out laughing, hand holding his stomach as he folded forward. Remus’ eyebrows rose, Sirius was ready to lunge at him, and Peter was holding back his own giggle.

“Remus, did you know one out of four blokes are gay? Sirius actually brought it up,” Peter grinned.

Remus seemed to freeze up at that but then shook his head. “Must be Sirius then,” He snorted. Sirius took his pillow and threw it right at him. James took a gasping breath, bursting out in more fits of laughter.
