The Trip to Diagon
In the following week to come, the family had gone to the leaky cauldron to head into Diagon Alley now, while the three were entering the bar it seemed like it was busy with life. The three were walking through as the bartender said “Ah came back again Santiago”. Santiago replied “Not now, we’re taking our daughter to get her stuff for Hogwarts”.
The worker had nodded and the three continued to the back of the bar and they ended up in some dead-end and Amethyst asked “So uh, its just a wall”. Santiago chuckled and he tapped his cane on the wall and he said “Secret passage Amethyst, secret passage”. When the archway opened, the three had walked into the alleyway now and they continued to walk.
Santiago stated “Welcome to Diagon Alley, what ever you need for your studies and anything else you can find it within this lovely series of stores”. Amethyst replied “Well, how do I even buy anything, I don’t have any money” and Santiago replied “Sure you do”. As he points up at Gringotts, he said “Gringott’s, the wizarding bank of the entire world”.
He added “Nothin more safer than gringott’s, well besides Hogwarts” and he chuckled while they continued to walk through the alleyway, although people looked at them. Giving them odd looks, which Santiago held Estrella closer now and he said “Stay close guys”. One of the people called out “Look, its the forsaken witch” and Santiago kept his wife close to him.
They were getting insulted by people as they continued to walk, Amethyst didn’t understand why her family was being insulted by the people, she didn’t understand her mother’s history. Once they got to Gringott’s, the three walked to the head bankmaster now. Once they stopped, Santiago stated “We’d like to make a withdraw” and the Goblin looked up now.
The goblin had gotten off from his seat and he then noticed Amethyst and he said “Who is this” and Santiago replied “it is my daughter, I’m adding her to the access to the vault”. The goblin nodded now and he took them to their family vault now, located way below in the vaults now. Vault 116 was their vault, and once they got to the vault, the Goblin asked for the key.
Santiago gave him the key and the Goblin went and opened the vault, within the vault was various of coins, gems and various other wealth, centuries of a fortune built up in that vault. Amethyst looked inside the massive vault, her father just said “I wouldn’t leave you out of the family wealth”. Once outside of the entire bank, the family was walking together.
They were nearing olivanders, which Santiago said “Amethyst, me and your mother are gonna get some stuff for you, uh go and hit up olivanders”. Amethyst looked at them and Estrella told her that she’ll be fine on her own, which Amethyst nodded as she gone into olivanders. Which she looked around and she said “Uh hello there” once she said that, someone appeared.
Olivander stated “Ah yes I was wondering when you’d show up” he climbed down before he said “Y’know I remember when your father came and got his wand”. He gone and grabbed a box and he came over to Amethyst now before he said “Cherry Wood with a Unicorn hair”. Once he gave it to her, Amethyst held the wand and he told her to give it a try.
Amethyst shrugged and she flicked the wand around and the wand seemed to like her due to her personality, and Olivander chuckled and he said “Perfect”. However Amethyst turned around, and there was some people walking into the store now. James Potter and his friends, go figure and they were discussing something when one of them noticed Amethyst now.
One said “Oh damn it is true” which James noticed Amethyst and he said “Oh look at this, its the Forsaken dark princess, seems like your mother has a lot of explaining to do”. Amethyst was about to get into it but, Olivander held her back and he said “Don’t it is not worth it”. James stated “Oh please what is the daughter of a death eater going to do?”.
He added “She’s an embarrasment to her family, let alone to be even considered a pureblooded witch, shes an embarrassment in general” which Amethyst slipped out of the grasp. She gone and attacked James now, however around this time, Azrael came into the store. When he seen this gone on, he ran over and helped Olivander pull Amethyst back now.
Azrael was in his second year when he first met Amethyst, he then seen her and he said “Oh my god it is you, I’ve heard so much about you” and Amethyst looked at him concerned now. Azrael said “My name is Azrael Poisonwood” as Amethyst replied “Amethyst Nightshade”. However James said “Oh my god why is a Gryffindor talking to the forsaken witch”.
Azrael then said “Oh be quiet Potter, nobody cares on what you have to say. Damn my father was right about your family, it’s an embarrasment to the Gryffindor name”. James said “Do not” however Santiago then said “Enough all of you” as him and his wife walked in. James and his buddies backed away now, and Santiago then said “Amethyst you got your wand?”.
Amethyst nodded and Santiago stated “Alright lets go..” and him and his family walked out of the store now before then, James said “What the hell was that”. Azrael just walked out of the store, which Olivander stated “Now, I must get some more wands now”. Later that very same night, at the leaky cauldron, they were eating dinner when Amethyst was poking at her food.
Estrella asked “What’s up sweetheart” and Amethyst replied “Why does everyone hate you mother” and that was when the silence was brought to the table now. Santiago sighed and he said “I guess we’re going to have to have this conversation, we were waiting for when you were older”. Estrella nodded before she said “You see, I was apart of a horrible cult that believed”.
Santiago sighed before he took another drink and he said “They believed that only us purebloods were allowed to learn magic, they thought half-bloods and muggle-blood”. He sighed before he added “They thought the rest should be killed off or forbidden to do magic”. Estrella just said “I hated the cult but I only was apart of it because of my life being on the line”.
She added “That is until your father came along and got me out of the cult and now I’ve been trying to clean my name but it’s been hard to do so” and Amethyst nodded a bit. This was a whole lot for her to process, especially when it came to the fact that it was her own family. Yet, who knows how her first year at Hogwarts was going to be, especially after the reputation that she has.
