Chapter 2
Lily and James were a famous couple, they came out as a couple about 3 years ago while in college and are still going strong. James was this heart throb to the public and his fans for all the romantic things he posted, Lily a serious and strong woman that has a very stubborn stains on things. Fall in love? What a beautiful love story, that’s what the internet thought at least. Well, so did the whole school since most of everyone knew each other and how James was always following Lily Evans around and asking her to go out with him and basically on his knees for her every day until she said yes. Well after the 100th time but Lily said yes after James put the most beautiful written letter in her mailbox at the dorms 3 years ago.
So Evans decided to give their relationship one try just to get Potter off her back and to please the press. Lily enjoyed herself in the relationship with James most of the time but sometimes she just hated how James would act irresponsibly around the old campus, but Lily thinks James has grown a lot. James although has not changed at all, he just stopped doing stupid stuff in her presents.
“What happened?!” Lily yells at James, James looks at the ground. “I did a prank on Malfoy..” James then looks at Lily with an upset face that was bruised around the eye. “James! I told you to stop or else I’d break up with your dumbass.” Lily yelled, not knowing if that threat was a real one or to protect her boyfriend. That statement broke James' heart, he thought that was a little much for a prank and him to be broken up with just like that. “Fine. Do it, it’s not like you loved me in the first place.” James said, backing away from Lily trying not to cry. “Wow. You really are a child. Y’know what? We’re done, get out and go to your best friend and figure out your shit.” Lily said calmly, James turned around and walked to Lily’s front door and walked out slamming the door behind himself. Lily sat on her couch and put her face in her hands, and cried her heart out.
James walked all the way to his dorm not saying a word, looking at his phone, looking up from his shoes, sobbing, or turning back. James loved Lily but right now his heart was filled with absolutely nothing but hurt and sadness. James pulled out his key and put it into the lock of his front door, and walked in without knocking. “Damn what happened to you?” Barty said looking at the TV, “Nothing. Just leave me alone.” James responded, taking off his shoes on the rack by the door. Barty looked at James, he had eye makeup cause he was headed to a party but right now something in him didn’t want to. “No, tell me dude. You're obviously upset and I don’t need that energy in the dorm.” Barty said lying through his teeth, he was worried about his new frenemy. “Why do you wanna know so bad? Geez.” James said, not actually having someone notice and actually trying to make him talk about his feelings.
“Like I said, no bad energy in the dorm. Now tell me.” Barty said while getting up from the couch and putting his hands on the counter, stabbing himself facing James who was in the kitchen. “Look me and my girlfriend broke up and I really fancied her, I mean I think I loved her.” James said, leaning on the other side of the counter, his back facing Barty. “Got it, get over it.” Barty said, knowing that statement would break them more apart. It’s not like he wanted to be friends with Potter, right? “Whatever, I’m going to my room.” James said a little mad walking past Barty. “Wait Jamie” Barty said, grabbing James' wrist. James' heart skipped a beat at that moment, “What?!” James yelled at Barty looking at him. “Wow, dude chill. I’m sorry if that was rude, I just don’t know what you need as support.” Barty said while letting go of his wrist and putting his hands up. “Why do you need to know that?” James looked at Barty confused. “Because you're my roommate for the rest of this year and I really don’t want to hate you.” Barty said, looking at James, ‘Wow his eyes go well with his dark complexion’ Barty thought while looking at him.
“Well if you really want to be friends with me then be more nice to me.” James said looking at his maybe friend. “Fine, but I’m mean to everyone, well except people I like.” Barty said, rolling his eyes, putting his arms down. “Well see you tomorrow dude.” Barty said, turning around and walking to the door, “Where are you going?” James asked. “A meeting, bye” Barty said with a wink and walked out the door. ‘God he’s annoyingly pretty.’ James thought and immediately hating himself for thinking that, he knew he was mildly into guys but right now is not the time to be thinking that about his roommate. James decided to go to bed, but he couldn’t sleep because his girlfriend was no longer his girlfriend. So he texted her, a bad idea.
Jamie- Lily, I’m sorry.

All James could for the rest of the night was cry.
