Hi! I am participating in Round 10 of Last Drabble Writer Standing! They post the drabbles in a collection, but I wanted a place for them to live on my own account as well. If I only make it one round, this collection will only have two drabbles but who knows? Maybe I will make it farther or maybe other drabbles will be added here from other things as well.UPDATE: I am now participating in Round 11 of the Last Drabble Writer Standing. This time it is rare pairs and Shakespear themed! Drabbles to be added here as long as I am still in the competition.
Every Step

Hermione thought back to her childhood, sitting on the cold wooden pew. The minister lectured from the pulpit: “Lust is the root of all other sins. It is the desire for the sinful, the corrupt. We must fight it with every step we take.”
She thought of the steps she’d taken:
The backroom deals
The compromises
Marrying Draco to build up her war chest
Every step brought her to this moment right here. Shaking hands with former Minister Shacklebolt, as she is sworn in. Despite the lessons of her youth, Hermione didn’t regret a damn thing.
She’s in charge now.
