Shot for glory
The day that can change James’ life again. The day of the final Mach for the Olympic gold. The last two times were easy but this year there’s a new opponent. The French.
The team has an absolute staggering amount of fans and they’re only created 3 years ago. The official name was snakes.
The team consisted of amazing players the Main ones being Barty Crouch Jr, Evan Rosier, Lucius Malfoy, Rodolfus Lestrange, Severus Snape, Xenophelius Lovegood and some side players.
All the players were A-tier and some of the best you could find so they became the biggest enemy to the British team or often know as the lions.
The match was just about to start and James was sitting nervously on the bench and saw a few people walking over to him. He looked up and saw his best friends Sirius, Remus, Lily, Marlene walking up to him but there were a few more people that James couldn’t name.
“Hey James!”
He heard Lily greet him. He stood up and hugged her.
“Hi. I haven’t seen you in a while.”
“Yeah. I’ve been quite busy.”
Answered lily. James looked behind them and saw 2 people that he didn’t recognise and Lily noticed and said.
“So I want to introduce you to someone”
She grabbed a pretty, blond interesting looking girl and said.
“Remember I told you about my girlfriend Pandora? Well this is Pandora.”
“How could I forget you talk about her every waking moment. But nice to meet you Pandora.”
Lily scoffed and continued on.
“This is Dorcas Marlene’s girlfriend. And that’s Regulus. Sirius’ brother but I’m assuming you know him.”
“Well does meeting him yesterday for less than 5 minutes whilst Sirius is talking to him count?”
“No James it doesn’t. Well he’s really good friends with Pandora so you’ll get to know him better!”
“Yeah. Well the game is in 30 minutes and I have to go talk to the team. Hope you’ll be cheering for me.”
Pandora, Dorcas and Regulus look at each other and Dorcas speaks up.
“We’re supporting the French.”
“Why?”
James asks them.
“Our best friends play there. Also regulus and Pandora are on the French team”
“Pandora is on the French team? What does she do?”
“I’m the female figure skater.”
“Oh wow that’s impressive. And what do you do Dorcas?”
“Oh I’m in the summer Olympics. I’m a 100 meter sprinter.”
“Wow. I’ve always wanted to be a sprinter but I was in 8th grade and started playing hockey cause my school didn’t have a track team.”
“Okay James enough with the sappy childhood stories. You need to go get ready for the match.”
Said Sirius.
“Yeah. Right. I’ll go now.”
James walked off to the locker rooms and made his inspirational speech to his teammates. Moments later they were all on the ice and everything was going so fast. And suddenly it was the final shot of the evening. The score was even and James had the puck. He was doing a great and on the final 5 seconds he let go of the puck.
The whole game wasn’t really the one where you earn a bunch of points because the battle was really intense and not teams were equally good.
James’ heart was beating out of his chest and he knew that it all depended on him.
Everyone was watching the puck on the i e and suddenly everything was quiet until James could hear the cheers that were chanted and all he could hear was the announcer screaming
AND JAMES POTTER EARNS ANOTHER GOLD MEDALIST FOR THE BRITISH OLYMPICS TEAM 3 TIMES IN A ROW AND THIS TIME EVEN MORE IMPRESSIVE!! AGAINST THE STRONGEST EVER OPPONENT AND HE SCORED THE WINNING POINT!! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THIS MAN HAS BEEN PREFORMING MIRACLES ON THE ICE!!!
James couldn’t hold himself together and started crying and hugging his whole team. He didn’t even feel how he was lifted into the air and carried on ice. He couldn’t feel anything but joy.
He was put down on the ground and ran to hug all his friends and parents. Somehow Pandora, Dorcas and Regulus also ended up in the mix of the people he hugged but at that moment he couldn’t care less.
He celebrated with his family, Friends and team and got his trophy. The he and everyone else decided to go straight to celebrate at the club. And a lot of unexpected things happened that night.
