Chapter 1
Marlene came to her girlfriend Dorcas who was sitting on the Hogwarts grounds with Regulus and Pandora. She was clearly excited about something, because she had a cheeky smile on her face.
"I have some interesting drama tea"
"What's the drama?" Dorcas asked her eyes sparkled as she was happy to get some good gossip
Pandora look at the Gryffindor girl "Is that about Barty and my brother?" she asked
Regulus rolled his eyes "Ugh not this again."
"Yes, of course it's Rosekiller" Marlene confirmed "They argued and broke up again. Evan with Barty,
this time I'm not even sure what it was about."
"Why do they keep on breaking up? it seems to happen so much. it's almost like there in a toxic relationship" Dorcas giggled
"Can't they just break up permanently?" Regulus asked annoyed
"Are you saying that because you want Barty to back to you?" Dorcas asked in a slightly accusatory tone
"Ugh, what! No" Regulus replied. though that was a lie. He had feelings for Barty but he thought that Barty would never get back together with him.
"You know I don't like him like that" Regulus lied
"Oh yes you do" Dorcas replied in a sing songy tone.
"Oh, Reg already has new boyfriend now. In fact, it has been for several months, has definitely been dating someone since October" Pandora said with a smile
"Yes, I know and I even know who," Marlene couldn't hide her excitement "Do you want me to tell you Darling?" she asked, teasing the mulatto girl
"WHAT!! HE HAS A NEW BOYFRIEND!! NO WAY NO WAY!!" Dorcas was completely shocked. Her voice was so loud that the others could hear her voice. "Tell me tell me right now!!" she said excitedly
"Don't even try or I'll make you regret it" Regulus growled looking at the blonde with murderous glare.
"Oh Reg, come on you can't hold me back I want to know!!" Dorcas said laughing. She would keep on trying to find out who the boy Reg was dating.
"Now there is a more important matter, my sweet sour jelly bean" Marlene smiled at her "Reg, do you have the Rosekiller betting notebook with you?"
"Yes I have it here" Regulus handed it to Marlene. The book was filled with betting with others for the dates when Evan and Barty will break up and come back together. Sometimes they also placed bets on who would break up with the other
"I can't wait to see the end of the book to know how long the Rosekiller has lasted" Marlene smirked
"I don't think it will end with one notebook." Dorcas laughed "In fact, I can see these two breaking up and getting back together even when they are 40 years old."
"And I can't see these two idiots living to 40 or even 30" Regulus stated, taking a pen from his pocket "Well, maybe Barty has a little bit chance if they were locked up in Askaban or the lunatic ward at St. Mungo's"
"Oh, if their still together at that age I would laugh. I mean they don't even like each other but somehow always find a way back to each other" Marlene giggled.
Dorcas laughed at Regulus's comment "That would be so funny to see Barty in a loony ward though" she said giggling
Regulus smirked "Well Barty and Evan are stupid psychos, so they will probably end up in one mental institution"
"My brother is not Psycho, Barty maybe a little but not much more than you are." Pandora said to Regulus, rejoining the conversation
"I'm not psycho!!" Regulus said in a high pitch voice.
"Oh yeah you are" Dorcas said laughing "you have done so many things that make you psycho" Dorcas laughed, clearly getting to Regulus
"What do you mean? What kind of things?" Regulus angrily asked "Name one thing that was psycho"
“Literally today you came to our table and threatened Siri that you would stab her with a fork and then you will kill them with a spoon because they played a prank on you the day before" Marlene pointed out to him
"Oh come on McKinnon" Regulus rolled his eyes "This is completely normal behavior towards annoying older sibling"
"Attacking siblings with cutlery during breakfast in the great hall doesn't seem normal" Marlene made a counterargument
"I didn't mean it though, I was just trying to scare them. I threatened Sirius more than once and nothing happened to them" Regulus said trying to get his words to make it better.
"Yeah, that doesn't make it sound any better Reg" Dorcas said "Anyway, I remember how you poured a jug of pumpkin juice on Sirius last month because they made you mad"
"Reggie has always been a bit extreme with revenge" Pandora said with a small smirk "But I must admit that sometimes I threaten Evan or wish I had strangled him with the cerebral cord"
"Oh Pandora darling, you're not supposed to say that out-loud" Marlene laughed
"So you hate your twin brother?" Dorcas asked intrigued
"Of course not!" Pandora answered quickly
"Oh so you do in fact hate him and want to kill him" Dorcas pushed on
"What!! No I don't hate him. I dislike him.. no I hate him... No... I don't want to kill him.. no.. no.. no" Pandora started saying no and then starting contradicting herself.
"Nobody would blame you" Regulus said with smirk "He's really annoying especially with Barty and all their relationship drama."
"It's very annoying" Dorcas agreed "They both just need to decide if their in a proper relationship or just break up permanently"
"They'll be back together in two days anyway" Regulus said
"You really think so?" Dorcas asked
"Yes, I would put money on it" Regulus said confidently
"Five galleons as usual?" Marlene asked, opening his notebook and taking his pen
"The bet is on. five galleons for the Rosekillers will be back together in two days" Regulus said.
"Are you sure about this?" Dorcas asked skeptical
"Absolutely," he nodded and Marlene noted his bet
"I give them six days, the rate is the same" said Dorcas, "and I'm sure of it"
Marlene then got his pen back and wrote down the bets in the book.
Dorcas nodded "I see. You think that Barty will be the one who will crawl back to Evan? " Dorcas said
"How do you know me?" Regulus snarled "Evan came back twice while Barty did this 21 times, so the probability statistics are on Barty's side."
"Don't forget that they usually make up under the influence of alcohol or weed so it's not always clear who did it" Dorcas giggled
"I bet 5 gallons by tomorrow they'll fuck each other and be together again" Marlene interjected unexpectedly and then wrote it down
Pandora was shocked but her curiosity also took place. she now wanted to bet on it as well, but she wasnt against the betsto annoy her brother who was pissed about the bets on his relationship
"I wouldn't bet on that" she said calmly thinking for a moment, "even if Marls is somewhat right, they won't get back together right away. I think they will do it in four days"
"So Panda bets on four days" Marlene smiled and made a note and then checked the previous page "Oh that's interesting"
"What is?" Dorcas and Regulus were intrigued in what Marlene had just said
"No one bet on the breakup for today," she replied, "But Pandora bet on tomorrow and Regulus bet on yesterday."
"That is a bit strange..." Dorcas said in thought "but why was no one betting on today to be the day"
"I don't know, but sometimes it works out that way" Marlene shrugged "Anyway We have established new rules that you must bet on exactly the correct date to win"
"So does anyone else have any bets on Rosekiller?" Marlene asked, checking to see if she could close the notebook.
"No actually" Dorcas said.
"Not me" Regulus said
"Well, I have.." Barty said with anger in his voice. No one knew where they came from or how much they heard "I bet one of us would sooner be dead than I'd go back to that motherfucker"
Regulus and Dorcas both looked shocked and Pandora was in absolute shock.
"Well damn, you really hate him, don't you?" Marlene commented
"Of course I hate him!" Barty exclaimed waving their hands
"So, you wont be getting back together with him?" Regulus asked wanting the definite answer.
"NO!!" Barty yelled "Why would I do that to my self!!!"
"Maybe because you're a masochist," Dorcas suggested
"And maybe cause you're an idiot too" Regulus added
"I wouldn't classify my self as an idiot" Barty said angrily
"But you're probably right when it comes to being a masochist" he added
"You're not an idiot at all and you don't come back to him like a dog on average once a week." Regulus said sarcasticly and rolled his eyes
"I am not a dog, Reg." Barty said annoyed "And I don't crawl back to him either"
"But you have been getting back together with him after every breakup "Pandora noted
"Not after every time!" They denied, "Four times he came back to me and many times it was a mutual decision or it just happened that way"
"Well, you still have gotten back together with him almost every time" Pandora pointed out
"Yeah but that's not the point" Barty said with anger in his voice
"You've still broken and remade up with him so many times "Dorcas stated calmly
"Oh it's just because this idiot is so damn hot and my brain melts around him" Barty crossed their arms "But this time we won't make up"
"Yeah that's what you said last time and the time before that" Regulus chuckled with some anger in his voice.
"You will never learn, will you Barty?" Dorcas asked
"I will definitely not go back to him this time. He is terribly stupid and very annoying. He doesn't listen and is an asshole with no feelings. He's terribly possessive and I feel like he treats me like prey. He can't even talk to me when we argue and I won't crawl to him again." Barty started listing reasons why they wouldn't come back to Evan
"So what is the reason you ever come back to him?" Dorcas asked.
"I guess because I have no self-control or he is so hot" Barty mumbled
"So what makes you think things will be different this time?" Regulus said not believing his words
"Because sex is not everything and I'm also so done with the fact that we almost always make up in bed and he would rather fuck me or let me fuck him than admit that he fucked up." Barty said with anger in their voice
The others were a bit shocked at how Barty spoke because it was so full of anger and pure honesty, the others were not used to this side of Barty. It's like he got a personality change when he was angry.
"You are so true on that" Dorcas agreed
"Yeah, but is that the only reason?" Regulus asked "Because you have said that you were gonna stay mad at Evan before but then next day, you were in bed with him again"
"I don't even want to get into his bed anymore." Barty stated firmly "I don't even always like it and often it just works out that way and I'm fed up with it"
"But will you be able to stay away?" Regulus asked "Just because you've said the same thing so many times before"
"Yeah, and you always end up back at his bed" Marlene pointed out
"Alternatively, he ends up in your bed or you are fucking at a party or in some classroom" Dorcas added with a mischievous smile
"Yeah, every time you try to hide from us the fact that you fucked with him again, but it's always too obvious" Marlene said
"And there is always some damn reason to keep coming back" Regulus said "I can name 100 reasons why you'll be back in a bed with him few times within a week"
"I'm not going back to bed with him," Barty protested, "I'm sure all your reasons are made up from outer space"
"Let's make this fair. I will list reasons why you will go back to bed with him and everyone here can vote if my reasons are true or false." Regulus said with a little smug smile on his face
"Go ahead, give at least 10" Barty reluctantly agreed and the girls nodded
"Reason 1: You want to show him how better you can go it then before. Reason 2: You want to show him that you're still hot and he hasn't left a mark on you. Reason 3: You want to make him jealous by going with someone else. Reason 4: You will just randomly feel lonely one night and you're just gonna go up to his bed. Reason 5: Someone else annoyed you and you will go to him for comfort"
"All the reasons seem to make sense," Marlene said and her girlfriend agreed with her "Reason number 6 You're drawn to him like a fly to a stick"
"Reason no 7: you still haven't let out all the anger you have inside and you're just going back to get a little more angry" Dorcas added
"Reason no 8: you want him back. Reason no 9: you had a nightmare and you're too afraid to sleep alone. And reason no 10 because you're actually still in love with him" Regulus contuined to pointing
"Fuck you Reg" Barty looked at him with absolute fury in their eyes "I'm not going back to Evan for any of these fucking reasons"
Regulus rolled his eyes "Sure, we will see how long you'll stand your ground in that"
"Yeah, I bet you can't even make it to tomorrow before you run back to him" Marlene said
"Or maybe next day" Dorcas added
"I won't go back to him, neither tomorrow or the day after tomorrow or any other day" Barty growled
"Yeah, you'll see!" Marlene said
"Yeah you're gonna snap any moment now" Regulus added.
"If I do snap it won't be in the way you're expecting!" Barty said with a dangerous look in his eyes.
"I can bet you 10 galleons, that you won't go half a week without coming back to Evan or his bed" Regulus said confidently
Suddenly Barty got an idea "If I can stay away from his bed and not back to him, like a full week, and everyone admits that I was able to do it, will you all give me 10 galleons each?"
The four of them looked at each other. Pandora nodded first.
"But we get to get 10 galleons each if you come back to him or his bed before a full week" Marlene said
"Before a full week, then yes" Dorcas agreed
"So if I don't come back to this idiot for one week, I will get 40 Galleons from you" Barty smiled as he did the math
"Yeah, it's a deal, but you aren't gonna make it past 3 days" Regulus said confidently.
"I can make it past the damn week" he snapped
"Let's see about that!" Marlene smiled
"Yeah, there is no way you will stay away from him for that long" Regulus said with a smirk on his face
"You can't handle a week without sex with Evan, it's too surreal" Dorcas said smirking
"Who said that I fuck only Evan?" Barty raise their eyebrows "I'm fucking who I want when we're not together"
"Wow! You have someone else to mess with?" Marlene looked really surprised "Who are you messing with?"
"Oh I wonder... Could it be someone else" Regulus asked sarcastic
"Let me guess, it's someone completely out of your league" Pandora said
"You know Snape's friends? Mulciber and Avery?" Barty asked even though they knew Regulus knew every Slytherin and Dorcas did too
"Oh yeah, I know those people." Marlene commented
"So let me get this straight. If you're not messing around with Evan, you're messing around with Mulciber and Avery?" Regulus said with smirk
"You make it sound like you wouldn't hang out with me and Evan when thing with your golden boy isn't working out." Barty accused him
"Yeah, what about it?" Regulus said, completely unbothered
"Oh no, you just told us that you're a big time player" Marlene commented
"Yeah, even more than I thought" Dorcas added
"It's not like that." Regulus denied it "Me and my boyfriend are in a kind of open relationship so I'm not a player"
"So open relation mean's that you can do whatever you want?" Marlene asked
"With whomever you want?" Dorcas added to Marlene's question
"Depends on type of open relationship and the rules set," Regulus replied.
"And do you have any rules set between you and your boyfriend?" Marlene asked
"Yes we do, but it's our business" Regulus rolled his eyes and then looked at Barty "You and Evan could use some rules when you get back together"
"I think we'll be better off without rules" Barty said quickly
"Of course you would prefer that... You don't want any boundaries set on you so that you could go to any bed whenever you want" Regulus said
"I don't think rules would be a stupid idea for you two," Dorcas said "You and Evan are in a chaotic on-off relationship but it really doesn't seem healthy"
"It's none of your business if our relationship is healthy" Barty snapped "I don't care how unhealthy people say it is. I still love that idiot"
"Aaaaaaaah!" Pandora squealed and jumped "You said it! You said you love him"
"Shut up!" Barty snapped at Panora "I said that I love him, not that I'm back in love with him..."
"But you do" Regulus teased
"No, I don't!" Barty said angried
"So why don't you break up with him once and for all?" Marlena asked pretentiously, placing her hands on her hips
"You really think it's that easy?" Barty asked.
"Well you've broken up with him countless times before" Regulus said
"But I was never really 100 % set on not getting back with him" Barty said "I want to be able to be with him when ever I want and leave him when I don't feel like it"
"Toxic on and off relationship," Marlene commented
"You don't get it!" Barty said "It's not toxic, this is just normal for us."
"Actually, I'm not surprised that you have a different concept of normality."
"Shut up Marlene, noone likes you anyway" Barty snapped.
"Hey, be nice" Pandora said calmly
"Yeah, but you can keep that thought to yourself next time" they said
"This is not the time for this, guys" Regulus interrupted and pointed at Evan coming
"Oh kill me" Barty growled in annoyance seeing their exboyfriend
