“Abraxas, welcome and young Lucius is away at Hogwarts I presume” Walburga said wit careful words

Abraxas Malfoy stood with his new wife Delphine Malfoy (formerly Valois) and their Daughter Ophelia (the first girl born to the Malfoy line in centuries) all of them the picture of perfection. 5-year-old Ophelia stood between her parents trying to stand as straight and poised as them, her silver and lavender robes swishing ant her knees as she attempted to not fidget.

“yes, Lucius is on is second year, he has also been acting as a guide to young Narcissa, I do believe Cygnus may request a contract soon” Abraxas says carefully, mercury eyes watching carefully as Walburga led them to a sitting room where Orion and their two sons were waiting, Sirius age 6 and Regulus age 5.

Ophelia clutched her mother’s teal and Pewter robes, confused as to what was happening. The two families sit opposite with the children in the middle. Though her feet didn’t reach the ground on the chair se attempted to cross her ankles like her mother with hands in her lap.

“My only preference with you sons, is that she is not mistreated, and I would prefer her with the heir. I’m sure you’d agree a metamorphmagus as the next Lady Black would be a boon to your house” Abraxas begins.

Ophelia eyes the two boys across from her, the only boys she’s been near is Lucius whom is 7 years her senior. The slightly taller one looked bored, his dark hair long enough to brush behind is ears. And the second with equally dark hair cropped shorter but still brushing his ears in length. She’d never known hair could be so dark, her mother, father and brother all had bright platinum blonde locks that reminded her of starlight, but the Black’s their hair was the night sky without stars.

Unable to fully control it two streaks of black formed behind her ears and stood out in her two braids hanging down her front. This seemed to startle everyone, though Abraxas nodded a brief approval before turning back to the stunned black family. The greed in Walburga’s eyes was palpable and Orion seemed intrigued. The two boys had wide eyes, blinking owlishly at her.

“Dear, introduce yourself to the Black family, Manners are important” Delphine spoke up for the first time, speaking to her daughter directly.

She nodded climbing down from the chair she had been sharing with her parents gracefully as a 5-year-old could manage.

“h-hello Lord and Lady Black, My n-name is Ophelia Delphine M-Malfoy, I am Honoured to be in your home” she said carefully, remembering the weeks of practice that her and her mother had with that one sentence leading up to this meeting.

Obviously not expecting such a formal greeting from a young child, they roused the boys to their feet for the same.

“Hi, my name is Sirius, I’m 6” he gave a wide toothy grin.

“Hello Miss Ophelia, my name is Regulus, It is a Pleasure to meet you” Regulus says stumbling over some of his words, but trying to follow her example.

Walburga seemed relieved that at least one of her sons got it right. Abraxas seemed to already be assessing the boys.

“we will arrange a few other meetings to decide the best candidate” Abraxas states.

Ophelia sits close to her mother's side and put her eyes downcast.

“Abraxas, would you care to discuss something before you leave” Orion speaks eyeing the children briefly.

The two men leave the room to head to a study without a word to their families, while Delphine looked on mildly confused. Clutching her daughters hand but keeping her face a picture of poise and calm.

Walburga starts asking about Delphine’s home in France and the political climate. Sirius and regulus are released to their studies, but Ophelia’s mother doesn’t let her leave.

“Stay with me darling, we wont be here much longer” Delphine murmurs to her child.

Regulus stops at the door on his way out glancing back before shuffling off down the hall where the harsh tutor awaits him and his brother.

The conversation drones on and Abraxas is nowhere near close to reappearing in the parlour. Delphine unclenched her teeth and stood.

“Lady Black, we must be going, Ophelia has her own tutors and commitments at home. Do let abraxas know we have gone back to the manor” she hums elegantly leading her daughter to the floo.

“I look forward to your next visit Lady Malfoy, your daughter is quite the pearl” walburga smile is not quite friendly.
