James is doing his usual checks before bed as part of his prefect duty when he finds a small black cat wandering around the corridors

Ahhhh omg my first ever fic! I hope you like it so far. I'm just setting the scene before any thing significant happens to the plot. I have no idea how to do tags so please bear with me. This idea came to me in the middle of the night while i was thinking about Regulus being a black cat animagus but no one knowing about it.
