Summary
Snape dies, Hermione has Daddy issues, (English isnt my first language)

The corridors of Hogwarts echoed with the whispers of lost souls, a testament to the lingering shadows of a war long gone. Amongst the faded tapestries and cracked walls, Hermione Granger roamed, her steps heavy with the weight of memories. It had been years since the Battle of Hogwarts, yet the scars remained etched upon the very stones of the castle.

With a heavy heart, Hermione ascended the staircase to the seventh floor, drawn by an inexplicable force. The Room of Requirement stood before her, its door slightly ajar, beckoning her inside. With a hesitant breath, she pushed it open, stepping into a chamber frozen in time.

The room was filled with remnants of the past, each item a bittersweet reminder of those who were lost. But amidst the debris, one object caught Hermione's eye—an old portrait tucked away in a corner, its frame cracked and forgotten.

Approaching it cautiously, Hermione reached out, brushing away the layer of dust that had settled upon the canvas. As she did, the image within stirred to life, revealing a scene from a bygone era—a younger Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and herself, smiling in happier times.

Tears welled in Hermione's eyes as she gazed upon the portrait, each brushstroke a painful reminder of all they had endured. How many battles had they fought together? How many sacrifices made in the name of a world they believed in?

But as she stared, Hermione noticed something amiss—a fourth figure in the painting, standing at the edge of the group, his features obscured by shadows. With trembling hands, she reached out, tracing the outline of the forgotten figure, her heart pounding in realization.

"Severus," she whispered, the name a prayer upon her lips.

In that moment, the portrait seemed to come alive, the colors swirling and shifting until the figure of Severus Snape emerged from the darkness. His eyes, once cold and distant, now held a sadness that pierced Hermione's soul.

"Miss Granger," he said, his voice a mere whisper, "you should not have come here."

But Hermione couldn't tear her gaze away, her heart aching with the weight of unresolved emotions. "I had to," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "I had to see you one last time."

Severus's eyes softened, a ghost of a smile playing upon his lips. "There is no more time for us, Hermione. My sins are too great, my redemption too late."

But Hermione shook her head, tears streaming down her cheeks. "No, Severus, you saved us all. You sacrificed everything for the greater good."

A bitter laugh escaped Severus's lips, his eyes clouded with regret. "And yet, at what cost? My soul is damned, Hermione, forever trapped in the purgatory of this portrait."

With trembling hands, Hermione reached out, her fingers brushing against the canvas. "Then let me free you," she pleaded, her voice breaking with emotion. "Let me carry your memory with me, always."

For a moment, Severus hesitated, his gaze locked with Hermione's. Then, with a silent nod, he stepped forward, his form dissipating into the swirling colors of the painting until he was no more.

Alone in the Room of Requirement, Hermione clutched the portrait to her chest, tears staining its surface. Though Severus Snape was gone, his memory would live on in her heart, a beacon of hope in the darkness that threatened to consume them all.
